We personally are very happy with our site and the campground. The staff member who checked us in was very friendly and provided lots of information. We unhooked car instead of driving around, although roads were not that tight. Found a great pull through in shade for our 4 day stay. Yes there are no sewer sites but we are okay with that, showered at the facilities. The showers looked like they were cleaned everyday. If we stayed longer we would use our tote and run to the dump station down the road. There are some 50 amp sites, but preferred the 30 amp site that we picked out. The grounds are very picturesque, the grassy meadow surrounded by forest, beautiful little lake. Hiked a trail that went around the lake and it was a bit of an adventure. Could use some pruning in sections. Enjoyed riding our bikes around the park roads, service roads, and the trail. The clubhouse looked tidy and had a number of active games to keep us busy. The pool looked nice, very busy with families on these hot days we've been having. The laundry had fairly new washers and dryers, they accepted credit cards as well as quarters. WiFi is hit and miss in the park which is not a deal breaker but wish it was better. All in all we would come back and stay longer. read more

NEVER again. on the first night, we had all of our fishing rods stolen and had to drive an hour to cabellas. then we bought new rods: which ALSO got stolen. why bother staying somewhere if your expensive equipment is gonna get stolen anyway?? Until this year we have checked in and picked our spot on a first come first served basis. This allowed campers to place themselves in a favorite site of their choosing based on campsites available. If you traveled with friends you could camp together. By taking away our right to choose our site there is no way you get a favorite site, or a site next to friends. At a time when Thousand Trails has to deeply discount, 20% off memberships to sell them you would think they would be more member oriented. We want our right to choose returned. I even asked if we could determine our campsite for our trip in mid June so we could camp next to friends camping at the same time and was told that was not possible. I am seriously thinking about getting rid of my membership. read more

Camped at the Thousand Trails campground at little diamond for 5 years. Paid a lot of money for a membership!! This year they have decided they need to pick your site for you instead of you choosing your own. Which if you are camping with friends, you probably are not getting spots near each other. Both times we stayed this year, we get to the assigned site and they are definitely not acceptable for our size rig with slides. The first site for the first outing, my husband tried to make it work, but it was way too short and narrow. No fire or use of a picnic table were happening. Slide would have been over the fire pit and no way to even sit at the picnic table. The second outing, they had us in a spot with a huge boulder on one side and our door was facing a well traveled dusty road and very limited space from the door to the road. The staff at the office worked with us to find different spots both times. If they had not have worked with us, we would have left. Sad after we had been looking forward to the trips. Luckily it was a slower time of the year. Imagine if it had been 4th of July or some other busy weekend. And the fact we spent retirement money on this membership!! The campground itself needs some work to it. The KOA side has nicer fire ring, some patio sites and the electrical outlets appear to be updated and newer. The sites appear to get better care than thousand trail side. water and electrical services at thousand trails are very old and you share your services between 2 sites throughout the campground. And sites are not level. Tree trimming and or removal Definitely should be considered. We are really questioning our decision in purchasing our membership. Great location to camp close to Spokane. Friendly staff and plenty of site options. It is an older campground so sites can be difficult to maneuver a trailer in. The group campsite is hilly but offers nice gazebo for a group to eat together. read more

Beautiful natural setting. Private Lake but you must bring your own water craft. I'm not sure of the size of boat allowed. Pretty sure no motorized water craft is allowed. RV Sewer hookup available for premium KOA sites otherwise there is a dump site. Laundromat is closed because of faulty drain field. It doesn't look like they are going to fix it anytime soon and the closest laundromat is 30 minutes away. Nice pool and recreation center. Bathrooms and showers are nice and clean. There is a store but the hours are sketchy. Ice is available at the office. read more

This is the first Thousand Trails/KOA campground we ever saw. Yes, it is 30 amps. Yes, only sewer dump, no sewer connections at sites. Yes, lots of trees. Our site was great, view of meadow. Some random bees. Beautiful lake/Marsh, separate swimming pool, great hiking trails. Neighbors ran their noisy, dust producing RC cars and hosts promptly told them to do it elsewhere. Yeah! Husband and I like it quiet but there was swimming, people rode ATVs around, dog park, hiking, did I mention lots of trees? What's not to love? Hosts were ALL friendly, friendly, friendly. The Thousand Trails Camping membership shares the park with KOA. The TT members are not allowed to park in the designated KOA spots. Therefore those of us who spent 10,000 dollars on the Ultimate Odyssey are stuck wth no sewer hook ups, crappy spaces,( hard to get into cause of trees and size of the space) and only 30 amp. Where the KOA spaces are level, large, sewer and 50 amp. The person that signed us in was very rude and unfriendly. She never smiled once. When I said you don't have sewer? Her response was so you want to leave? We were suppose to stay 10 days but decided to stay 1 night. I was too tired to drive any farther. I already drove 350 miles that day. Also, most places thought out this country (I just traced through 31 states) honey wagons run 5-8 dollars. The Thousand trail parks charge 25-35 dollars. read more

We are not 1000 Trails members and stayed on the KOA side of the campground. Sites are mostly wooded with some offering more privacy than others. There are a variety of sites including pull throughs and tent sites, all are gravel with power and water hookups, there are multiple sewer dump stations. The staff was cordial and efficient at check in and happily answered any questions. The small store on site is helpful and firewood is available for use in the provided fire rings at each camp site. Restrooms are spread out over the camp and were clean even during a busy 4th of July week. This was a quiet spot with the only traffic coming from a county road that bisects the property and used almost exclusively by camp guests. Bugs were not a problem where we stayed and we will most definitely come back. read more

Run far and run fast from this bee-infested campground. Your life could quite literally be at risk. During a camp-hosted activity, children were gathered into an area the owners knew had been infested with bee nests. It was 9pm, dark and we had no idea until complete chaos erupted. Children screaming as they were attacked by bees. Parents and grandparents were also attacked as they frantically stripped clothing off children. No camp attendants to be found as children screamed in pain. 1 child was taken to the emergency room with 23 stings. Campground did absolutely nothing for bee control, during our extremely brief spray. Pay the money and hire a service. This was an absolute nightmare. Instead of losing revenue from campers bailing out from sites that are smack in the middle of nests, fix the problem! Never, ever, ever again will I ever put my children at risk in this campground. read more

We had a great time at Little Diamond. We stayed two nights and wished that we could have stayed longer. The lake/pond was great for paddle boarding and hiking around. The facilities were immaculate and the staff seemed very nice. read more

We stayed in the thousand trails part of it. Was nice. Good WIFI in the club house. A pool. Not sure if the big tub indoors was a spa or what cause it was cold. Unfortunately we were inside our RV most the time because of the Washington and Idaho fires going on. Very smokey. I done like having to search out a site big enough for our rig. My main complaint is no sewer. There is a dump station or you can pay $25. For a honey wagon. read more

Wow, where do I start? Not a 5th wheel friendly park, paid full price for a pull through as we have a 42' Toy Hauler + long bed truck and were supposedly put in a "pull through" to accommodate the size of the equipment. First off, the campsite was so uneven we could never get level so we were at a slant for 2 days. This put an enormous amount of pressure/weight on our right side leveling jacks. As we tried to leave it was on a hill so going "down"' the hill would have made our truck bed smash into the corner of our fifth wheel. We were forced to go "up" the hill on a sharp turn, the turn was so uneven we almost tipped our trailer that would have also tipped the truck on its side. PLEASE BE SURE TO VIEW YOUR CAMPSITE BEFORE PARKING (don't let them not let you see your site!)! The staff that run the place are older and may not know if your rig/trailer can be parked successfully there. Also, the wasps/bees were OUT OF CONTROL, getting stung was a whole lot of fun! The lock on the men's bathroom door was "missing", when we went to go tell them the older man there was rude and kept saying he did not know when it would re "repaired or replaced". The staff seemed under trained (just helpers for the summer season), while friendly for the most part, if you have an issue bring a tissue as you won't get much help! read more
