Dog Owners please be diligent and ask for the NEW Policy & Procedures document put in place by the new owners of Little Doggie Paradise. I was taking my dogs to LDP for 20+ years and spent thousands on overnight care as I travel a lot for business. In October 2025 one of my dogs was injured while at daycare and the way the injury was handled was unacceptable. During a meeting with the new owners, they explained "they were not trained for such things". They did the right thing and paid the $1000 vet bill for my dog which was incurred when I returned and found his wound to be severe and close to infection. I am told since this incident there is a policy & procedure manual created for the employees and owners and training has been done to avoid an incident like this in the future. Please ask to see this document as the same employees are still working there. read more

We are so glad they support a model of taking care of dogs up to 25 lbs. We've taken our two 20 lbs dogs to Camp Bow Wow and two other boarders, and often come to find out they have placed our pups in areas with dogs up to 60 lbs. Our pups are timid, and would often come back with cuts on their noses, dirt on their sides where they've been wrestled down by a larger dog, or just generally be anxious about going back. We've been at Little Doggy Paradise for overnight boarding for over 3 years now - our dogs love going and get very excited in the car when we pull up. They might be some of the biggest dogs there, but it fits them perfectly. They have even made many "friends" they they spend a lot of time with following around and sleeping next to. The staff always accommodates us, gives our pups all their medications, and always have a cute story to share when we come to pick them up. I actually haven't been here I just called to inquire and the lady I talked to was super rude because of this I would never bring my dogs here. I called and asked about the requirements for dog vaccines she couldn't hear me because it was so loud with the dogs and she was getting huffy and puffy that she couldn't hear me and then I think she went into another room and she put me on hold for a minute when she came back on she said "what is it that you need I'm clearly busy" with a total attitude she wasn't nice at all and acted like I was bothering her by asking about meet and greets and how everything worked as every daycare is different. There are quite a handful of dog boarding places near me...although "Little Doggie Paradise" is a few miles farther from home, I am willing to take my 2 senior Jack Russell terrier mixes there when I am away! Since my dogs are small and older, I am happy that there is a place like LDP that specifically takes small dogs only. My dogs were happy and relaxed when I brought them home! Their feeding routine is a little different than most dogs (since they don't have many teeth to eat regular kibble and one of the dogs has a sensitive stomach and a picky eater). I am happy and grateful that they were willing to listen to the way I feed them at home, to keep the routine going for them at LDP because I have had a not so great experience somewhere else! At this other place, my dogs seem like they were not given enough water because either they had diarrhea or wanted to drink a ton of water when I brought them home. LDP is a very cute facility with a fun beach theme. In my next life, I hope I am a 15 pound Shih-Tzu so I can stay here! read more

Just called because we are new to the area and was trying to see if they could take our pets or recommend a place said "NO, We do not care for other places around. Go find your own Big Dog Place. I've taken my mini schnauzer here a number of times now for boarding and he's always excited to go. I love that the dogs are in a large room to roam most of the day, as my dog hates being locked up. They always label all of his belongings and it's very reasonably priced. I've been going to this daycare for about a year and a half now. Ever since I realized that the mellow dog I thought I adopted was actually the most hyperactive dog on the face of the planet. It was great for Zed for about 8 months. I would take him twice a week in the morning, he would play all day and come home tired. Then one of the employees left and I haven't really had the same great experience since then. In the last few months, I have been using their boarding services over the weekend. That's 3 days of what should be crazy dog socialization and play time. He should be exhausted when I pick him up. But he isn't. Instead, he is ravenous for attention, extremely wound up and usually has a case of diarhea. I suspect that the new employees (and the owner, the most grumpy woman I have ever been forced to interact with) are simple putting him in one of the cages and leaving him there most of the week only letting him out for a few minutes at a time to go to the bathroom. So, I am taking my business elsewhere, to a place that will let my pup run around like the crazy maniac he is so he isn't a crazy maniac when I get home. read more

I recently took my dog to this place for a daycare and they LOST my dog! She escaped out of their front door and they were unable to catch her. She ran across Parker Road and Iliff which are two very busy roads. I ended up searching and posting posters all over the neighborhood where she was last seen and fortunately got a call from a good samaritan the following day. She was missing for 28 hours but is now safe. Hands down one of the WORST experiences in my life. I will never take any dog there again and I would recommend you don't either. read more

Wow! When I picked up Sophie after Christmas vacation, LDP informed me that my sister had paid for her boarding. What a nice surprise!!

I will start my review off like so: my dogs are my LIFE! They are the most important thing to me, and it's super important that my dogs are treated well. I mean, come on, the less I stress about their care the better I feel. I love the ladies here at little doggie paradise, because they take all my worries away and treat my dogs amazing!!! Every time I show up to pick them up, they don't want to leave! This I appreciate because it shows they are comfortable and feel safe, which makes me feel safe too. They are always out playing, and keep you updated when annoying dog moms (like myself) call. They even give little report cards on long stays so you know how they did, which is fun to me. They love it here, and so do I. They even remember my pups even though its been a while since I have brought them back due to my lack of vacationing. You ladies are amazing and I will travel all over denver to make sure my dogs are with you when I vacation, no matter where I live in this town. Thank you so much! I have a 5 pound dog named The Moose who LOVES this place! I don't take him on a regular basis - just when he has more energy than I have time. He always leaves happy and sleepy. I love that they only take small dogs and they have an outdoor space for them to romp in the sunshine. Even the best behaved large dogs are too much when you're 5% of their size. I saw a couple of comments about the owners, but they have never been rude. While they may not be outgoing, they go out of their way to make sure my Moose is happy and that's why I pay them. I am not looking for a suck up that doesn't take care of my pooch. They did create a business card and magnet with Moose's picture on it which was really thoughtful. I am a very protective dog mom and my dog is really high maintenance (cancer survivor, allergic to everything, and a bit of separation anxiety). They are great with him, and I wholeheartedly recommend them!! read more

I wanted to update my review of Little Doggie Daycare. I have continued to bring Cassy to them for boarding when I go on trips, and I am still extremely happy with the service. My little pup is welcomed warmly when I drop her off, and she's always exhausted and happy when I pick her up. I love that they let her play ALL DAY! I feel comfortable knowing she's not lonely or bored - she perches in the top of the playset or in the nearest lap if possible. Again, this is a matter of principle for me as I believe dogs should be allowed to play all day - I shouldn't be nickel-and-dimed for my pup to get some love and fun! This place is privately-owned and I really appreciate the personal feeling of it. Now that I have been going for so long, I've gotten to know the owner a little better and she is wonderful. I can't give this place enough stars! As an owner of a 4lb Morkie-Poo it's difficult to find daycares who will accept him because (1) he's so little and can squeeze thru anywhere and escape (2) other dogs think he's a bunny and he gets attacked! I have gone to Little Doggie Paradise for over a year now and my pup absolutely loves it. He starts crying so hard out of excitement as soon as he can see the building clamoring to get out of the vehicle as he's ready to go play! When I pick him up at the end of the day he instantly falls asleep on my lap as he is played out and exhausted! Both of the owners are extremely nice and love my pup to pieces and it's easy to see my pup's love for them back as he's jumping out of my arms to get into theirs when I drop him off. It makes me happy that they love my dog so much and it allows me to have peace during the day knowing he is well taken care of and in good hands. I think this is a phenomenal idea for a daycare (specializing in little dogs) and I have never been disappointed with the service I have received or my pup has received. read more

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use Little Doggie Paradise for your dog!!! I left my Rocky for 10 days with them with 20 baggies of food, an AM and PM bag for each day. I got him back less about 3 lbs and wondered what happened. I just found out in looking through his stuff that I sent with him that they didn't feed him for THREE DAYS or give him 3 treats in those baggies!!!!! When I called to complain the guy hung up on me! DON'T EVER USE THEM! In addition the guy said he didn't eat the first couple of days. I said I called every other day to ask how he was doing and not one person told me that! That does NOT explain why I have 3 days of baggies full of food and treats not given to him!!! read more

My 4lb chihuahua loves this place. And I admit that I love this place for their focus on small and med sized dogs. Chihuahuas can be tough to deal with because of their large attitudes. Mine especially doesn't really like many dogs or people for that matter. She does love the owners and staff. As a matter of fact she will hide in her dog carrier when we get there and when she sees the staff she runs out of her carrier to greet them. I bring food I make myself in prepacked containers for breakfast and dinner and that goes very well. I sometimes travel for work with short notice and they are very nice when I call and ask. Judith, Janine and the entire staff did such AN AMAZING JOB with my pups! I'm new to Denver and had to leave on a 4 day business trip! Dog sitters I found were super expensive and you open yourself up to major liabilities! These "total dog lovers" were 1000000% professional, totally clean, catered to my special needs shihtzu and even had our doggie beds and linens clean for pick up! They have special rooms for overnight stays and the rates are super affordable! My doggies we're together the whole time and that made this even more of a great experience for me and I'm sure for my little fur babies! I HIGHLY suggest you check them out! I cannot believe what a horrible experience I just had here. I am a new client and took my little guy in for paperwork and to look at this facility. I was greeted with the smell of pee, The attendant walked up to me and just said hello like I was bothering him- didn't introduce himself or anything. Also it's a beautiful sunny day and all of the dogs are locked inside? The whole point of coming to this place was because they have a beautiful backyard and grass area. All the dogs were just lying down inside looking so bored under the fluorescent lights. I explained I was here to see if my dog liked the facility, He gave me the paperwork and I gave him a copy of the vaccine records. He said everything looked good except that my dog had not had a Bordetella. I explained that the vet said he cannot have any more vaccines due to a medical condition so that guy told me It was no problem as long as I provided an Exemption letter from my Veterinarian. As I'm filling out the paperwork he keeps interrupting me and interjecting about vaccines. He said that the owners dog gets vaccinated every six months and doesn't have any issues. I said well that's great for the owners dog - but - for the second time - my dog has a medical condition around his liver and the veterinarian said that he cannot have any more vaccines. He then said "I just don't understand why someone can't keep their dog Up to date on vaccines". My dog actually is up-to-date on all vaccines per the paperwork - And he just told me that they except a vaccine exemption. So I'm not sure what the problem was? I explained for a third time that it was a veterinarian that said he cannot have any more vaccines - the same vet that issues the exemption form. He took it upon himself to interject his personal opinion about MY dog and his medical condition? It was so rude and I was very disappointed so I said, I'll just take him somewhere else. My vet is a Doctor, you aren't! He said "well good luck with that". What a crazy experience I literally had my head down filling out paperwork and I'm getting lectured about vaccines when I have all the appropriate paperwork to board my dog here. If the owner reads this - your employee on Saturday Sept 22nd @ 1pm was who i dealt with and is a sad representation of what I thought would be a great business. read more

We've used Little Doggie Paradise about 4 times for our Yorkie and ShihTzu and we were happy with their stays. This last time I booked their 3 night reservation through their website, I received a confirmation from LDP confirming their reservation and drop-off date and time. I then got a reminder email the day before drop off reminding me of their reservation (5pm on 7/11) . My husband and I went to drop the dogs off on 7/11 4:45 and there was no one there, I called their # and emailed Judith with no response. How do you get a hold of them if there is any type of emergency! We had to wait until the next day to drop the dogs off. As you can imagine it was very frustrating, I've never gotten an explanation as to what happened, I emailed Judith and never received a response. I really want to use LDP again if they could have just reached out and apologized, but since they won't acknowledge what happened or the inconvenience that it caused us we will not be giving them our business. I'm surprised they still offer their on-line booking option - BEWARE!!! read more

I have been taking my dogs here for about 3 years now. I do not live nearby, but they take such good care of my boys that it's worth the drive. I agree that the owner is not extremely cordial, but she takes great care of my dogs, and that's why I keep returning. My dogs are not always the most social, but in this atmosphere, they love playing with all the other dogs. I pick them up and they are absolutely exhausted. This is a great place if you have to board your small - medium sized doggies. I was going out of town for 5 days and was just over two weeks out from my trip when I found out the dog sitting company I used in the past had gone out of business and my neighbors had July 4th travel plans already. So I took to the web in search for a dog boarding spot this time. I've gone to Bark-Denver in the past, but they were booked for months. Of those who were available on such short notice, their prices were ridiculous and the reviews were a little sketchy. In comes Little Doggie Paradise in Denver. Not only were they able to accept my reservation two weeks from July 4th wkd., but their prices were WAY more ideal (because let's face it, I should get to pay less to board a 6.5lb vs. a 50lb dog)! But since they specialize in small to medium dogs, I also knew that Lady be safer and wouldn't be used as a chew toy, yay! When I dropped her off, it was a very smooth process and I liked how you can see into the playrooms from the lobby. At some places they treat the lobby like a triage center to the ER and you can't see what's behind those closed doors!! They also let you bring in your own food vs. forcing you to buy their food and they don't require a pre-visit. And the best part is I didn't feel like a stalker when I called to check on Lady. They knew exactly what she'd been up to, who she made friends with and how she was doing without checking a chart or anything. The ladies there were super nice, great to the dogs and they have a great set up. They told me it only took about 12 hours for Lady to be comfortable enough to let them pick her up (she has trust issues...LOL). But after that she got along great, was moved to the bigger playroom and even made a new Yorkie friend...I'm so proud of her! I'm totally treating her to daycare at Little Doggie Paradise more often! read more

My Jack Russell, Bobby, absolutely LOVES this place! He just turned 3 last month and has been going here an average of 3 times a week for the past 2 years. He gets so excited to go for his playtime, he will make a bee line from the car to the front door and jump up and down waiting to go in to see all his dog friends. The ladies who own the facility are super nice, loving and play with the dogs. There is an indoor play area as well as a sizable outdoor yard with grass. The dogs get playtime in both areas. I have also boarded Bobby here as well. It is truly his home away from home. And the prices are outstanding. Best deal in town!!!! read more

We love LDP! New to Denver, and frequent travelers, it was important to find a place for my chi-mix right away. We are so lucky to have found her home away from home. Cantara loves LDP and gets excited in the car as we get close, then bee-lines straight in. From the stories they've shared, she is spoiled like crazy. They gave her space to adjust, and even learned her cues (like sitting by her door to go in for a nap). While friends have volunteered to watch her, we know that in most cases, she has more fun here!!! Cantara hadn't liked many day cares, even when they separated by sizes. Took such great care of my pup when he was sick and I was leaving town. He came home healthy and happy. When he was there recently he came home sick--he ate something nasty before we brought him in apparently and came home sick. Judith was able to tell me his whole couple of days that he spent there. How much he ate, his play habits, potty habits, etc. I was impressed how much detail she remembered which helped us figure out what was wrong. My family wants to adopt a German Shepard but the one drawback is that we wouldn't be able to take him to LDP, who is the only day care in town we trust. Anyway, love this place. I really hate to write this because we have been taking our dog here for almost 2 years and have loved it... up until last week. We arrived around 5pm to pick up our dog and immediately knew something was wrong - he wasn't walking straight and looked terrified. We got an explanation of "we don't know what's wrong with him. He started acting weird 2-3 hours ago." You would think we would have immediately gotten a phone call but no - they did not call us but rather waited for us to come get him. We rushed him to the vet and they said it was most likely marijuana ingestion but wanted to rule out a slipped disc so we had to spend $250 on x-rays to make sure. We called back and they of course denied that he could have gotten into marijuana, but the next morning he was fine so the vet said there really isn't another explanation, and that for him to have those symptoms at 5pm when we dropped him off at 8am he had to have ingested it there. The owners of this place have always been great to us, so we asked them to look into this incident and were told they'd look at camera footage. They never got back to us and when we called we were told they don't really know what happened. We said we aren't comfortable bringing our dog back without knowing this won't happen again and were met with indifference. We are bummed because our dog loves this place but honestly I do not feel confident he is safe there anymore. I think the owners do care about this business but I also feel others need to be warned about what happened. read more

This place is the best of the best! My doggies are my babies and no one else that I've been too treats them like babies! One of my dogs is very scared to go with anyone but me, even though it takes her time to warm up at first every time we go by the time I pick her up she is so happy. My other doggie is a princess and is very particular about the way things are run but she is treated like a queen over there. Last doggie loves to play and she normally plays so much that when she gets home she is so pooped out she is able to relax and lounge around the house. read more

Hi my name is Dax and I had a great time recently while staying at LDP! My dad had to leave town for a while, so I came here to be in Paradise. I really enjoyed mingling with the others, and I enjoyed the nice cozy room. I even got my picture posted on Facebook. I had a great time, but as I'm an older dog I get tired easy, and then start missing my dad after a few days. I've done this before, where I stop eating and feeling a bit depressed, but after I get back home, I usually feel a lot better. LDP was great, everyone there looked after me and when I wasn't feeling well, they called my dad to let him know too! Everyone I met here at LDP was great and really enjoyed mingling with everyone else, what a fun place. I hope they will let me stay with them again, if I should so need it! I take my little guy Tiggs here on a weekly basis for doggie daycare. Little Doggie Paradise is a lifesaver for me. My pup can't wait to get in the door and gets so excited when he gets in. He has a ton of energy and I cannot leave him home for hours a day. That said, one day of doggie daycare he's tired the next day too, so it works perfect for us. The people who work there are wonderful, the dogs are always having a blast, the napper dogs are napping when they want, etc. I've stopped in at various times and it's always clean, quiet, smells great and dogs are getting love and having fun. I will ONLY take my little dogs here. It's warm, welcoming, and the dogs seem so so happy. My guy comes home happy, exhausted and snuggly every time. I have two miniature dachshunds that are...interesting to say the least. One is super friendly but the other is just kind of shy and can be a little more aggressive. Judy and Geene had saved my doggie's life! We always take Mopsy to them but as he is now 14 years old, he'd just passed out on their care , and Judy revived him giving him CPR and Geene took him to the animal hospital immediately at 6:30 AM . They called me an I was at home to take him already and now he is doing just fine. They are amazing! We are SO Greatful!
