We saw a sign for BBQ and pulled into a parking lot. Then we spotted this food truck, saw a bunch of people sitting by it, so decided to give it a try. We are glad we did! I ordered 3 tacos: barbacoa, fish, and fried spam. They were all delicious but I especially loved the batter on the fish. The tortillas of these tacos are unique; it was like a combination of soft and hard. My friend ordered a salad and she loved it. If you're in Kapaa, I would recommend trying this place. read more

We had a blast having lunch at this food truck. Right on the main road in town, with a little are to hunker down and eat your food on picnic tables. Order at the passenger side window. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable with the menu, ingredients etc. and friendly too! We tried chicken tacos, (Keiki style) spam tacos and fish tacos. Plus the rice and beans plate. We had some different salsas. Found each item to be delicious and beautifully presented with colorful and tasty garnish. I went here late night for some tacos and they were some of the best I have ever had. I got a beef taco and a pork taco and both were incredible. Stuffed full of meat and flavor. Food truck located in Kapaa, Kauai. Yes the tacos are like $8. Is it worth it? Absolutely, growing up in East LA and living in San Diego with the best tacos outside of Mexico. I got pork belly confit taco, and you will not be disappointed. They have nice hours, open Sunday and Monday (pls double check) as most other places were closed. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Also go the some kind of tea...sorry, it was refreshing on my bike ride...but you won't regret coming here. There is also a hand sink outdoors for your convenience. Fire tacos, first meal on the island did not disappoint from this food truck off the highway in Kapaa. Had the seared ahi tostada special and the carnitas and all the ingredients were fresh and high quality. I liked the tostada more than the carnitas. Hot sauces and pickled carrots and peppers were decent. Got a non-alc mule which was refreshing to wash the meal down - I liked that it wasn't sweet. Service was fast and friendly. Best tacos of my life! The taste and quality of the tacos are incredible! The price may seem a bit high but trust me it is worth it. The tacos came out in about 10 minutes which is very impressive and the people working were very nice. Little Fatties Tacos was the very first food stop of our honeymoon, and wow, what a great decision that turned out to be! We ordered two grilled chicken tacos, one beef barbacoa taco, one crispy spam taco, and a side of rice and beans. Everything was absolutely delicious. While it was a little on the pricey side, I want to make it very clear, it was 100% worth it, and I would gladly do it again. The food was flavorful, fresh, and such an awesome way to kick off our honeymoon adventure in Kauai. I ate this and ordered it again right after because i needed more! - squash so so good too and different - ahi tuna was ok, not a repeat taco for me but it was also a special - the fire hot sauce was perfect pairing - workers are so nice! - The tacos are $7 a pop but they are worth it tho. This food truck is the secret to happiness. If you blink while driving, you'll miss it. If you don't stop, you'll regret it forever. All of the tacos are amazing. The carnitas tacos are my favorite. The meat is so juicy and delicious. The flavor makes me wish they could pack this into some Bubbalicious so I can keep chewing and enjoying this euphoria all afternoon. I'm not sure I like the idea of life without one of these tacos hanging out of my mouth. You could eat six, but then you would immediately need a nap on the beach afterward to recover. Legit! Ordered the beef Barbacoa and the chicken. Hands down seasoning and flavor that is often missed on the island. I was greeted warmly and the service was quick in comparison to other food trucks in the area. The. Best. Tacos. Probably the best food I had in Kauai but definitely the best food I had Kapa'a. The tacos were great. All of them. Ended up eating there 2 days in a row and on a limited vacation where I like to sample different things, that says a lot. Even the beans and rice were really good. Little Fatties is a MUST when visiting Kauai! We went here twice in the 1 week we were in Kauai for their amazing "fresh catch" fish tacos. The ingredients are SO fresh and SO delicious. I'm going to agree with Matt A here and say "best meal we had on Kauai". They are the most expensive tacos I've ever had but the carnitas taco was AMMMMMAAAAAAAZZZZZIIIIINNNGGGG!!! I had them for lunch but my wife wasn't hungry so she didn't order any. We had planned to go get a burger for dinner before our red-eye flight home but after she took a bite of my taco, she said she wanted to come back to Little Fatties. For a bit of reference, I lived in San Diego for 34 years and ate Mexican food 3+ days a week....so a lot of tacos. We also travel to Mexico, usually Cabo, and I eat tacos there daily. These Little Fatties tacos might be the best I've ever had. Top 3 for sure. I'm just glad they aren't in my hometown or I'd go broke. read more

This fish taco was simply unbelievable. I cannot describe it. You absolutely must try it for yourself. It was just wow. We're here for several more days on vacation and I want to go back every day--and take our friends--and tell everyone about Carlito and this amazing food!
