The burritos here are delicious ! It's a walk up Mexican food place . Very tasty pretty quick for pickup ! Enjoyed the chicken burrito with salsa and rice !

Decent Mexican food with some tasty seafood options. The walk up window is unassuming but the staff was helpful. This is literally a hole in the wall restaurant but the food they serve is pretty good. They don't skimp on the protein in the large burritos. We got a chicken quesadilla for our little one and she enjoyed the heavily marinated/seasoned chicken which was generously portioned for a kids meal. Although the meat (shrimp and fish) for our burrito was delicious the other toppings left some to be desired. The rice, beans and salsa were all a little uninspired and felt more like filler than flavorful additions. Either way, this made for a solid and filling meal.

Love this hole in the wall carry out only spot! Carry out window is located at the corner of a local grocery store. I got a carne asado burrito and my wife ordered shrimp bowl with a side of guacamole. Generous portion sized and great flavor. They even have nice salsa options. We ordered and enjoyed our food at the hotel. Great value and good food!

Grab and go Mexican. Kauai was made for places like. If you're not on a beach you're on day trip. Finding a proper sit-down restaurant can be a burden so something quick always works. The food is satisfying and great when you're in a pinch. You won't be disappointed. Tacos and burritos.. Carne Asada..

A friend suggested I go to "Da Crack" for a great burrito when in Koloa. I am not going to lie, I initially thought it was going to be ordinary like Chipotle because the ordered process seemed kind of similar. They do a amazing job with their meats. The steak and the chicken were very flavorful. This is some good Mexican food "for Hawaii". I feel like the rice and tortilla could be better. Especially the rice. The portions that they give are very generous and it will leave you filled up! I can see why they call it da crack because it literally is in between a crack of the building. Got to love the Hawaiian slang. The staff were very friendly and you can tell this place gets popular with both the locals and tourists because we saw a mixture of both people in the line. If I lived out here, I would make this place, a place I would go to often for lunch if I lived by. As a tourist it's great to get some food if you are on your way to the blowing horn and want something good that will fill you up and not leave you feeling too heavy afterwards.

If you spot a line in the parking lot of 2827 Poipu Road Koloa your in the right place. Don't let it deter you from getting one heck of a Mexican meal. It will want you going back for more. The menu has a lot to offer, ingredients are fresh, flavorful and I give the guac an A plus. So looking for a go to meal to enjoy beach side or back at your resort/hotel don't pass this up. Staff is friendly and service is fast.

It taste good. But im annoyed. I asked for extra cheese. We got NO CHEESE. I asked for and paid $3.49 for guacamole. NO GUACAMOLE. The ahi was good but I felt like it was just a huge black bean burrito. Seriously though who charges you almost $4 for something then not put it on?

Great place for some good grinds, take to the beach and chill with a full belly. Menu as of 04/22/26

As far as Ambiance, it's order at the window and go. FYI, have your order ready and they charge for extra paper materials like burrito holder, plates, plasticware.

Fantastic Mexican food. The chicken tacos were very tasty. Meat cooked perfectly, good portion, two tacos with rice and beans is a meal. The burrito bow is also a excellent choice. We're in Hawaii on vacation, we'll definitely be back.

This place was recommended to us by a friend, and when we saw the positive reviews on yelp and the huge line in front we knew we wanted to try it. We wanted to like this place so badly but it was simply okay for us. The girl working was super friendly and helpful when we asked her questions. We also liked the vibe of the order window. The line was long but moved quickly. We got chips and salsa, a shrimp burrito, and 2 tacos: one fish and one carne asada. The portion size on the chips was small and some were a little stale. Our food came out just sort of warm not hot. The shrimp in the burrito were a little tough. The tortillas on the tacos tasted like mission brand. It was an okay meal but didn't really wow us. I did love the Mexican rice!!

Pretty easy to miss if you aren't paying attention, but an absolutely terrific find. Menu offers some delicious build your own meal options. The crew is more than friendly and easy going. Loved the vibe of this spot, would highly recommend making the stop if you're visiting. 10/10

We stopped here for a quick bite and were pleasantly surprised by how fast our food came out and how good everything was. We ordered a carne asada burrito and shrimp tacos and both were great, along with fresh chips and salsa. The flavors are a little different than what you might expect if you are used to Mexican food on the mainland, especially coming from California, but in a good way that feels unique to the island. The spot itself is a small walk up window next to a convenience store with picnic tables outside, plus shops and food trucks nearby. The staff were very friendly and the vibe was relaxed. Worth checking out if you are nearby.

We LOVE Da Crack! Our condo was right down the street from this great find and we ended up coming here twice on our visit, and will definitely go again when we come back! It reminded us of Chipotle, but WAY better and more options. The first visit, they weren't very busy so we ordered and received our food quickly. The second visit, there was quite a bit of a line and quite a wait. But it was fun listening to the staff singing along with the music they were playing and joking around. It's definitely a little hole in the wall with no dine in option. You order at one window and receive your food at the side window. The first time, I ordered a burrito with shredded pork, rice, black beans, spicy salsa, cabbage, and guacamole. My daughters each orders bowls. The second time, we all ordered bowls, but they were sadly sold out of guacamole! Everything was ONO! Thanks, Da Crack!

Every part of the process, from the worth it wait in line, to placing your order, to moving off to the side to watch it being made is part of a grand story that ends with that first bite. The employees are super friendly and willing to help you make up your mind. It has the look and feel of an indoor street vendor with a beach front ambiance. I definitely recommend the fresh lemonade. I got half the sugar and it was plenty sweet. Lots of seating across the street in the picnic pavilions. Most everyone sitting there was eat a Puka Dog.

First, I appreciate that Puka Dog offers a unique take on the traditional hot dog. The concept of serving the dog inside a specially baked bun and filling it with various tropical relishes and sauces is certainly different and memorable. It's easy to understand why so many visitors are curious to try it. That said, the overall experience didn't quite live up to the hype for me. We spent about 40 minutes waiting in line to order and receive our food, and after finally getting it, I didn't feel the quality or taste justified either the wait or the price. For three hot dogs and a lemonade, the total came to around $48, which felt excessive for what was ultimately a fairly simple meal. While the preparation and presentation are unique, I personally found the end result to be underwhelming. The specialty sauces and fillings were interesting, but not enough to make the hot dog feel significantly better than a much less expensive option elsewhere. In my opinion, I would have been just as satisfied with a Costco hot dog and a variety of sauces on the side. My impression is that Puka Dog is one of those places that benefits greatly from its uniqueness. Many visitors, myself included, want to try it because it's something different and well-known on the island. However, it felt more like a one-time experience than a place I would return to regularly. For that reason, I would describe it as more of a tourist attraction than a must-visit dining destination. Overall, I'm glad I tried it and can say I experienced it for myself, but I think it's important for future customers to know what they're getting: a creative and unique hot dog concept, long lines during busy times, and prices that may not feel justified depending on your expectations.

The "wood lanai" vibe and umbrella tables offer the perfect mix of shade and island breeze. The standout discovery was the Kauai beef which is local grass-fed beef. You can truly taste the difference--it's incredibly fresh and light. My younger sister ordered the Kenji-style Loco Moco, and since she couldn't finish it, I happily stepped in. It was phenomenal. My older sister enjoyed the Kenji Burger, though she mentioned it was a bit heavy on the sauce (pro tip: that extra sauce makes for an excellent French fry dip!). I opted for the 3-taco appetizer. While the tacos were a bit on the small side, the oversized side salad helped fill the gap. Between the great atmosphere, friendly service, and quality local ingredients, this was the perfect first meal on Kauai.

Black Cod has got to be one of the fattiest, tender, and delicious fish to ever swim the oceans. The sandwich was perfect. As always, the shoestring fries are nice and crispy, and they pair well the beer they have on tap. Service was decent. Nothing extraordinary. But sat down promptly, ordered quick, and food was out fast. No BS. It's probably a benefit to hire younger kids who don't really care, I loved it; no BS. All outdoor/covered seating like you're in a Lanai. Love that style. Really brings a vibe inside. The Giant TV also helps should the games be on. However the speaker was busted. It was cracking on high notes, and was very, very annoying. I asked the server to please turn it down, and she did, and it still cracked. So management, get that fixed. Will most likely be back, as its the solo burger joint in the area, and it does NOT let you down!

We were seated directly under a industrial fan used for the heat, but it was like 59 degrees so we asked if it could be turned off. We were told they can only turn it off it they turn off all the lights. So we asked if we could be moved to another table out of the way of the fan and were told no, this was the only table available. We sat down and the server immediately came over and asked for our drink order. We asked for a drink menu, so she brought one for five people. Then she stood at the bar staring at us until we decided. The drinks were delivered quickly and we're actually good. Next came the food order. Four menus for five people. Order placed for one taco salad, twelve street tacos, all chicken or steak, and one burrito. We asked if we could have chips and salsa, guacamole, and queso dip. One bowl of chips for five people, which we paid for two refills. Salsa was canned, guacamole was not fresh, and queso was bland. Taco salad was OK. Street tacos weren't what we expected and didn't have limes. They tasted ok and the meat was fresh. Burrito was messed up and they tried to lie and say that's how burritos are served and the green sauce was chilis. We found out it was cooked and served with ground pork. This was not advertised. Overall, they seemed bothered by us and we're talking about us in Spanish to each other. One of our party was fluent in Spanish. When we left, there were three people there with badges looking at some paperwork from the bar, which was very suspicious.
