AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!…read more I recently threw a birthday party here and it exceeded my expectations. You have the party room for 2 hours and then you can enjoy the other two hours in the pool. They made the whole process of checking in so much easier by asking for a list of the guests and checking them in. Make sure guests know they MUST wear a bathing suit to get in. Overall, we had a great stress-free birthday party! :)

I genuinely enjoy this facility and wanted to share some feedback regarding the current pool safety…read morepolicy, specifically the requirement that children under 48 inches remain within arm's length of a parent or guardian in the toddler pool area. While I appreciate the facility's commitment to safety, I believe this policy may benefit from review in certain circumstances. My five-year-old is slightly under 48 inches tall and is a capable swimmer but he was still given a yellow bracelet because of his height. During our recent visit, a staff member (she seemed to be the one in charge) told us about the arm's length requirement while my son was playing in the shallow toddler pool area, which only reaches ankle depth. I fully support close supervision requirements in deeper water or for infants and young toddlers. However, the current policy creates some practical challenges in the toddler pool area: 1. The shallow depth of the toddler pool presents minimal risk for older children who can swim. 2. Multiple parents attempting to maintain arm's length proximity in a confined space leads to congestion and difficulty navigating around one another. Which can make things even more difficult trying to keep an eye on your child and your child's constant movement when you have a parent in front of you trying to keep an eye on their child. 3. The policy becomes impossible to enforce when children use the toddler play structure and mini slides, where parents cannot physically maintain arm's length distance. Maybe some parents can fit going up the structure, but we certainly cannot fit going down the slide. We would have to go back down the steps of the play structure and then try to get to our child who most certainly is farther away from us because kids do not sit still. I believe a modified policy that considers both the child's swimming ability and the water depth would better serve families while maintaining appropriate safety standards. Perhaps children who demonstrate swimming competency could be permitted greater independence in ankle-deep water, while maintaining stricter supervision requirements in deeper areas.

Lots of excercise classes to choose from. Love the MX4 class and that it has its own room. Other Ys often charge for similar programs so it's great this is included. The staff and members are all pleasant. Everyone is very encouraging of each other in group fitness classes. The hot tub is wonderful. Enjoy the steam room and sauna. There's a lot of water exercise classes with great instructors and plenty of lanes for lap swimming. Lifeguards are always friendly and willing to answer questions. Only issue I have with this location is the pool area. The humidity is too high in the pool. Water is 84 and air temp around 72. Due to this black algae is forming on the windows, ceiling, pool floor, binders and papers. The pool staff including lifeguards and instructors are in this area all day. Not only that, the Y has not publicly told its patrons yet about the algae yet which can cause serious health issues. Especially for the elderly and young. Not only has the staff not informed the members, but they have not informed their preschool families who go swimming every Friday. And went swimming the Friday before winter break. I feel the members and the families of these preschool students have a right to know what's going on so they can decide if they want to use the pool currently or wait till the issue is fixed.

The gym is currently being renovated for upgrades in this facility. It expanding by adding a hot tub, sauna, spin room, and yoga. It's upgrade the entrance lobby as well. During this COVID-19 pandemic, you are required to use the app to reserve weight room, Group gym classes, and pool swim lanes. They are still offering group swimming lessons at $65 for members and non-members $75. They offer private swim lessons as well. I'm still waiting for them to open up the hot tub though. I'm excited for that after postworkiuts.

There is a workout area, park, and pool area for young kids and a full pool area as well. Upon entry we were immediately turned off as staff are all rude from the front desk to the lifeguards. The woman at the front was so brash. Cost Warrenton locals: $6 kids and $7.50 adults for the pool area, playground is free. They have family lockers and rooms to change in which is really cool. Everything is clean. Pool area isn't ventilated well and needs fans. It's more humid inside than out on a hot day. They also have minimal seats with broken chairs if you're a bystander. There are three lifeguards on duty which makes you feel secure in the size of the play area, some of them however have their feet kicked up and are talking to each other on walkie talkies so not sure how much attention they are paying to the kids. The kids had lots of fun inside and outside. Loved going down the big slide and playing in the water area. It is a good break for the kids and I would recommend it, as long as you know all the rules and regulations ahead of time.

It would be nice if more times were offered for classes but at least there's one Saturday morning class. Late afternoon and evening classes would be useful for those that work. Staff is friendly. Water aerobics classes are ok. Sometimes it feels like the instructor is rushing. As soon as you start a set they move onto a different exercise. It's quicker to do a movement on land than it is in the water. Because of that, I notice many people just do their own thing. And the instructors are hard to hear especially if you're completely to one side. Not everyone can be in the middle. You get out of it what you put in but the whole purpose of going to a class is for the instruction. I can go to a pool and do my own thing, I'm paying for the instruction. Having the toddler swim lessons in the big pool while having the adult water class is not the best idea. I understand the other pool was closed for whatever reason but cancel whatever you had over there or move the times. You've got parents and toddlers there for swim class, parents and toddlers there to just play (hanging out on the steps bc their toddler is afraid, waters too deep, etc an employee did ask one parent to move bc it's not ideal to hang out on the steps) and you've got about 15 older adults there for water aerobics....really? Adjust the times.
