When my husband and I began looking for an assisted living community for my 86-year-old mother, we…read morequickly realized how overwhelming the process could be. We were fortunate to be connected with Tami at Assisted Living Connections, and I truly can't say enough good things about her. From the very beginning, Tami took the time to understand my mother's unique needs, personality, and our family's concerns. She never pressured us or tried to steer us toward one community over another. Instead, she patiently answered countless questions, provided thoughtful guidance, and helped us weigh the pros and cons of each option. What I appreciated most was that Tami was incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and compassionate. She understood that this wasn't simply about finding an available room--it was about finding the right fit for my mother during a very emotional life transition. She checked in regularly, advocated on our behalf when needed, and was always available when we had another question or needed reassurance. Thanks in large part to Tami's guidance, my mother recently moved into a community that we feel is an excellent fit for her. We are so grateful for her expertise, professionalism, and genuine kindness throughout the entire process. If you're beginning the search for assisted living for a loved one, I highly recommend reaching out to Tami. Having someone knowledgeable and caring by your side makes an incredibly difficult process so much more manageable.

I worked with Jan, who covers the Ventura area, and she was an absolute pleasure to work for. She was very friendly and personable, asked me questions about my father's needs, budget, and area of interest. She then prepared a list of 5 different facilities, set up tours, and toured the with me to ensure all of my questions were answered. She also had a wealth of knowledge about each facility, and helped me decide the best fit for my father. After moving him in, she also checked in regularly to see how the move was going, which was a very nice personal touch. I would highly recommend this service for anybody who needs to help a family member move to assisted living. It made the whole process easier and more manageable.

I kept her card and emailed her about PODS Yelp reviews. Veronica invited me to the Oxnard facility to inspect their new fiberglass design. It was spotless and the fiberglass allowed ambient light for improved interior visibility. This answered my concerns so I secured and placed my order based on Veronica's responses. POD #1 delivery was excellent. I was got a call from Lionel that he was in route and he arrived on time. My street has medium traffic but this concern was put to rest when Lionel stated he previewed my delivery in advance using Google Earth and he had more than one plan. He described using the median to unload the POD then drive PodZILLA to my driveway. This worked flawlessly with zero traffic conflicts. Before Lionel headed out for POD #2 Lionel stated he'd return in 45-min and he'd use a different technique for delivery. Lionel was prompt returning with POD #2 and waited for traffic to clear. He precisely backed his rig into my driveway then parked. He stepped out of the cab and explained his next steps. I marveled at the PodZILLA ability to move any direction with (8) off-road tires. Lionel manipulated PodZILLA like a kid piloting an R/C toy. He later stated he enjoyed working and repairing mechanical engines. His attention to detail and asking about the placement of the POD was reassuring. I wanted to share my day 1 delivery with PODS as it' was very positive. I'll have another 4+ weeks using their products and swapping out more PODS as need for my renovation. I feel comfortable asking any questions with packing or future delivery. As for pricing I found PODS competitive but price wasn't most important. Scheduling and customer service are most important to me when selecting a vendor. So far I'm very pleased. Thank you Veronica and Lionel for a great experience..! 5-STAR

On November 2, 2025, during Universal Studios Hollywood's Halloween Horror Nights, near the Terrifier and Poltergeist houses, I had one of the most humiliating and discriminatory experiences I've ever faced. My wife is pregnant and disabled, and we both have legitimate ADA needs. She tried to use the ADA restroom, and the woman working for Andy Gump refused to let her in, saying it was "for wheelchairs only." My wife explained her medical condition involving her leg and back, but the woman argued with her for nearly 10 minutes before finally letting her use it. Absolutely disgusting. Then when I went to use the same ADA restroom, the male Andy Gump worker refused me as well, saying, "You look fine and can walk fine." I told him that ADA is for both visible and invisible disabilities, but he didn't care. He demanded proof, even though I have an ADA pass and was clearly wearing a leg brace. He laughed when I asked for a supervisor and said, "I don't work for Universal, I work for Andy Gump." He told me that in his eyes, "only wheelchairs count as disabilities." I even brought up veterans, cancer patients, and invisible conditions, and he flat-out said he didn't care. The level of ignorance and discrimination was shocking. I argued with this man for almost 15 minutes just to use a restroom that's legally required to be accessible. No one should have to explain their disability to a complete stranger to use a bathroom. The worst part is, this wasn't even the first time on another night, the same man told me the ADA restroom was "down," but then I saw him let a wheelchair user in right after. So it's clear he just didn't want to let me use it. Andy Gump, your employees are out of control. You are representing one of the biggest entertainment venues in the world, and you're letting your workers mock, discriminate, and humiliate disabled guests. It's 2025, and your staff still doesn't understand that ADA applies to all disabilities, not just people in wheelchairs. My wife left in tears, and I was beyond humiliated. You should be ashamed that your employees are allowed to treat disabled guests this way. I hope Universal Studios takes a hard look at who they're contracting, because Andy Gump clearly doesn't train or screen their workers properly. Avoid this company at all costs if you value respect, decency, and ADA compliance.
