Drivers and operators are kind and SO helpful. It's the office staff and the woman who took my call today that need to remember they are in customer service and support and cannot speak to people that way. I called, as advised by a driver, to schedule with the local phone number for pick up. Not only did the woman who woke up and chose violence give me a sour frustrated sigh and no-can-do attitude since they were booked, she threw the operator under the bus and stated he should never have told me they "could accommodate me at all", she proceeded to admonish me like a child for not "knowing better" and scheduling pick up at the same time as I'd scheduled the pod for delivery. GO WITH ANOTHER MOBILE STORAGE FACILITY. The business operates prima façie at best. read more

Positive experience from Manager Veronica from Day 1 introduction @ Ventura County Spring Show. Her professionalism and enthusiasm worked when I needed a storage container. I kept her card and emailed her about PODS Yelp reviews. Veronica invited me to the Oxnard facility to inspect their new fiberglass design. It was spotless and the fiberglass allowed ambient light for improved interior visibility. This answered my concerns so I secured and placed my order based on Veronica's responses. POD #1 delivery was excellent. I was got a call from Lionel that he was in route and he arrived on time. My street has medium traffic but this concern was put to rest when Lionel stated he previewed my delivery in advance using Google Earth and he had more than one plan. He described using the median to unload the POD then drive PodZILLA to my driveway. This worked flawlessly with zero traffic conflicts. Before Lionel headed out for POD #2 Lionel stated he'd return in 45-min and he'd use a different technique for delivery. Lionel was prompt returning with POD #2 and waited for traffic to clear. He precisely backed his rig into my driveway then parked. He stepped out of the cab and explained his next steps. I marveled at the PodZILLA ability to move any direction with (8) off-road tires. Lionel manipulated PodZILLA like a kid piloting an R/C toy. He later stated he enjoyed working and repairing mechanical engines. His attention to detail and asking about the placement of the POD was reassuring. I wanted to share my day 1 delivery with PODS as it' was very positive. I'll have another 4+ weeks using their products and swapping out more PODS as need for my renovation. I feel comfortable asking any questions with packing or future delivery. As for pricing I found PODS competitive but price wasn't most important. Scheduling and customer service are most important to me when selecting a vendor. So far I'm very pleased. I reserved the 16" POD to empty out my down stairs area for new flooring to be installed. The driver was fantastic, he had a great attitude, very helpful, very friendly, and very professional. The POD was in perfect shape no damage and was very clean. The lady who helped me order the pod a week prior was very friendly and helpful when setting up my order date/delivery. I have zero complaints about this company and would definitely refer them to my friends. Everything from start to finish was seamless. See my extended review. Wanted to add photos to show the black mold, water damage, rust and condition of the POD they gave me. I cancelled it and they said they will refund my money. Shouldn't someone at PODS have known this was unacceptable BEFORE giving it to a customer? I guess they assume people won't want to deal with the hassle of scheduling a new one if they are on a tight moving schedule. It's just bad business in my opinion. Took my storage business elsewhere. Found an amazing brand new clean storage for less than the POD. *Each photo is of a separate different area of damage. The entire POD must have been sitting in water or a flood or? I'd hate to see what is under the old rotting cracked plywood "floor". It seemed like a heavier person could literally fall through the old warped cracked and splintering plywood floor. Take note of how they advertise their PODS inside and out on their website and videos. That is what I got 16 years ago and expected to get again. This is what I got instead. Disgusting. Dangerous. The black mold had tried to be "cleaned off" instead of getting rid of it or trashing the POD completely. They had painted the old exterior to try to hide the rust and corrosion. Do not use PODS! They quote you a price and then charge you for delivery, pick up and they continue to charge for a 30 days of storage after they pick up the pod! After speaking to customer service 3 times for over an hour each time, I still cant get them to stop charging me and they have not refunded me. I now have to file with the credit card company as they keep charging my credit card! Absolutely horrible, horrible company. I have an attorney benefit with my employer I plan on using if they dont refund me. They make it super super difficult. I am beyond frustrated! read more

This is my second time using PODS to store items during relocation and remodeling. Today's delivery of the POD I had stored at Oxnard was nothing short of exceptional. Miguel, the driver, placed the POD exactly where I wanted it and actually retracted one of the rear legs on the cage to avoid rolling over our gravel xeriscape front yard. Amazing. My wife ordered a POD for shipment from Simi Valley to Portland Maine. It was all set up in February. Drop off of the POD was on Friday April 15. Pick up was on Monday April 18. Everything was professional, courteous and well done. My wife was ecstatic about the company and couldn't say enough good things. The people at PODs were happy and articulate and all was done as promised. Before agreeing to use PODs, we were told that our POD would be scheduled to be shipped today April 19 to Portland Maine and would be ready for pick up in Portland in a week after that. This was arranged and discussed with PODs before agreeing to the payments. Allowing for some slippage in dates, we arranged to arrive in Maine later that week, engaged movers to bring the items from Portland to our place on the north coast, set up meetings with photographers and handymen, made arrangements to list the property for vacation rentals and planned to have the place ready for living in a month so that we would be in time for the "high" season in Maine. Today, one day after the pick up, we are told that our POD will not be shipped as scheduled and would get there after May 25 --- 30 days later than promised! At no time before did PODS indicate there would be a problem with shipping or a possibility that the dates would or could change. We have spent many hours and time arranging the move and will need to pay a change fee on our airline tickets. PODs should have made clear that their promised dates were not reliable and that they could be off as much as a month or more. If the unreliable dates were explained or articulated, we would have made other arrangements. When my wife called back after receiving the email about the change in dates, the friendly nice people were no longer available and it appeared that the calls were going to a call center out of the county. She was quite upset and then received a notice that our pick up was cancelled which made no sense since the pick up of our POD had already happened. We feel trapped and do not know what to do. We'll check with the Federal Trade Commission, the California Department of Consumer Affairs and the Interstate Commerce Commission, and lodge a complaint about bait and switch tactics practiced by PODs. PODs needs to make this right -- we counted on their representations and are now out a lot of time and money. They need to explain fully before making the sale that their dates are highly unreliable. read more

The concept was great. I was able to get pods. I was able to move my house. I was able to get them stored. I was able to get them back. Most of that process worked just fine. The part that didn't work was their billing. I needed two pods and needed to order them at two separate times. The pods I needed were to be delivered to the same place, picked up from the same place, and re-delivered to the same new place. Sounds easy. But PODS made an error and charged me for one as a local charge and one as a long distance charge. So I was overcharged. I have called them and talked to at least four different people who have all confirmed that I was over-charged. But after 2 months, I have still not been reimbursed for what they overcharged me. If anyone from PODS is reading this, you are welcome to get in touch with me, because it's certainly not working with me getting in touch with you. read more

Wish I could give negative stars!!!! Drivers are foul mouthed, rude and disgruntled. Moved cross country, when they picked up my POD they said it was going to the state that I was moving too. Called when I arrived their 3 day window turned into 2 weeks because it was sitting in the state I had left. When they finally arrived (18 days later) the driver was cussing at me and angry, said he took this over for some other driver and didn't want to fu@%ing be there. He proceeded to park it halfway in the street, broke my tree and now has been sitting there for 2 weeks, which my HOA is fining me a $100 a day. Pick up was set for the 22nd (2days later) today is the 30th and they just now picking it up I highly recommend ABF or anyone else I'm now $7560 in the hole by using PODS read more

We needed a place to put our furniture and such for a month while we had our interior walls painted and flooring redone. Since Pods delivers the storage container to your home this was a great solution for us. The pricing is a bit high, but when you consider they drop off and pick up the container I guess it's to be expected. Ordering the Pod is relatively painless and delivery was within a day or two. Requesting pickup is another story. For some reason they need more information from you to pick up a pod then they do to deliver it and on the pickup day they never showed up. When we called again, guess what? They needed all that information once again and then told us that the pickup would be their first available timeslot, probably sometime next week. Meanwhile we are storing their pod in our driveway for free! Therefore I give them 5 stars for convenience, minus 1 star for the price, and another star for the delayed pick up. read more

While I have no desire to disparage a company on social media, it appears that at this point, I'm actually doing a public service announcement. NEVER use pods for your moving or storage needs! I was quoted, $249 per month per pod, per month. They offered me the best price, and because of their brand recognition, I decided to give them my business. However, once all my belonging were packed and loaded into the pods, less than three days later, I received my first invoice, the price changed to $299 per month. No one could explain to me why the price had changed. Next I asked for a quote for the delivery of one of the pods, only just 10 days of them having my pods, and was told they'd have to calculate the mileage coming from Santa Barbara. Hmmm, the pods were picked up in San Paula, the Oxnard location was much closer, why weren't they stored there? The pods team didn't know, but was told it was only going to cost around $250 to have it delivered from Santa Barbara to Orange County. Of course I approved it, however the next day my credit card was charged for over $1200! When I called pods saying they must of made a mistake, they told me no, maybe their delivery guy didn't tell me all the charges. So I cancelled the delivery, said I would come to Santa Barbara to get my things myself. Here's the thing, my pods weren't actually in Santa Barbara after all, they were in fact, in Oxnard! The delivery guy LIED so they could charge me more for mileage! I rented a truck, picked up my things and emptied out one of the pods. I called and emailed numerous times to have the $1200 delivery charge credited from my credit card, however, it never happened. So I called my credit card company to have it removed. The next thing I know, I am locked out of my account, unable to access my other pod, and now after over 18 hours of logged phone calls, 26 emails, including emails of my credit card statements PROVING that I have paid for my storage fees, I just got a phone call stating that they are AUCTIONING OFF MY BELONGINGS, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE PROOF THAT I PAID MY BILL! Furthermore, they have my credit card on file. I have to call them and ask them to at least take the monthly payments until the matter is figured out regarding previous charges. It is impossible to get anyone capable on the phone. Two weeks ago, I called 4 days in a row, asking to speak to a supervisor, and left a message for Carla at ext 7861. I was told she promised to call me the next day. NEVER HEARD FROM HER, EVER! Then there's Shilita, who replied to my emails, until of course when I asked her if she reconciled my credit card statements, which were proof of payment, to the invoice she sent me. I received an email back saying it was an 'unmanned' email account. Apparently, that question was too difficult. I have been beyond reasonable and patient trying to sort this out with this horrible company. At this point, I have no other choice but to hire a lawyer and to sue them, and you can be damn sure I going to include the mental and emotional anguish this has caused me over the last 5 months. And I will encourage my attorney to reach out to other disappointed customers, as I am sure there is some sort of class action lawsuit that should happen to stop this company from even being in business. read more

This is the WORST company I've ever dealt with. First off, they don't properly train their employees and apparently the systems they use to facilitate orders, makes changes & updates is inadequate. Our first drop off order was completely botched, because they only dropped off 1 of our 2 pods, resulting in delaying our move 3 days. We had to hire movers TWICE because of this delay and mess up on THEIR part (a $1000 cost to us), and now as I'm trying to get our pods delivered to our new address, they've already canceled our order once and are now telling me that they "don't service our area"...without giving me any options aside from "putting in a service ticket." The person I spoke with didn't even give me other options!! Just that I would need to hopefully wait 24 hrs to hear back from a supervisor. read more

Attitude of front desk woman is AWFUL. And the one before her was AWFUL. And the one before that was AWFUL. I mean really AWFUL. They are in a service business. Rudeness with a smile. And their rules when they screw up on billing takes hours to fix. And they screw up a lot. They don't communicate, the front desk won't make changes, and if there's a billing issue, like with a credit card, they don't contact you. Better off going to a storage locker and avoiding them. Appears the company either trains their people to become parrots and repeat themselves instead of trying to answer an actual request OR the company doesn't care about losing a potential customer which I believe the latter is true and which apparently has now happened since I've turned to posting this. The whole point of spending a thousand bucks extra to have PODS move a storage unit for us was that dealing with them should be easier than loading up a huge rental truck and driving it over an 11,000-foot chains-required snowy mountain pass during a fall move to Denver. Turns out not to have been an effectiv way to reduce overall moving stress. When we first called to ask about services, the guy in the Florida call center told us about rates, delivery scheduling, etc. He said all the delivery driver would need was three consecutive spaces in our parking lot. He even knew, from Florida, that the city of Goleta requires permits for storing units on city streets! He was great, and we thought that indicated a corporate culture where competence & knowledge & polite, helpful service are the norm. Man, were we wrong. The dropoff driver called on delivery day to say he was on his way and would be there in a half an hour. I'd been up packing until 3:30 but dragged myself out of bed at 8:06 a.m. and stood waiting in my parking lot. For nearly two hours. (Hey, I didn't want to sleep for another two hours, did I?) When he did show up, I tried to wave him into the parking lot, but he insistently waved me over to his truck instead. Because if he has something to say to the peon customer, Christ, HE's not getting out of his truck. When I did walked into the street and dodged traffic to talk to him, he told me he needed me to move "those six cars closest to the parking lot entrance." He was totally flabbergasted when I told him that I did not own those six cars closest to the entrance of my apartment-complex parking lot, I didn't know who did own them, & even if I did know, their owners might not be on site at 10 a.m. on a Friday. He took nearly a minute to mull over the fact that he could not point at random cars in the parking lot and demand I move them, then summarized how he understood the situation by saying, "So you REFUSING TO ACCEPT DELIVERY, then." "NO!" I said. "You go right ahead and drop it off in those spaces. What I'M SAYING is that I'VE FULFILLED MY RESPONSIBILITIES UNDER THE CONTRACT WE HAVE, we've already made a payment on services, and I EXPECT YOU TO FULFILL YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES without inventing additional conditions or otherwise rewriting the contract. You go right ahead and put that storage unit down like the contract says. I asked what you need when we paid the deposit, and I got you your three consecutive standard-sized parking spaces." He said the parking lot is narrower than usual (it's no narrower than many apartment parking lots on his turf) and he's uncertain if he can get the empty unit in. (Note: the people who delivered the FULL unit in Denver a week later had zero qualms about doing so in a slightly narrower lot with more cars around.) I asked why the call center employee I'd talked to hadn't said anything about minimum parking lot width; he told me that he was an independent contractor and "I ain't got no connection with them." Which is not actually true: neither fulfilling their contractual obligations nor being trusted to do so is "no connection." He told me he could try to drop off again on Monday if I can keep the whole first third or so of the parking lot empty, or "maybe, if you're lucky, tomorrow. But that's Saturday." I told him moving the drop-off day to the previously agreed pick-up day was not OK: I needed the unit gone and me out of my apartment on Monday. His next suggestion was to park it in a couple parking spaces' worth of curbside street space. When he said this, he coughed something very softly into his hand. If I hadn't talked with the call-center guy, I wouldn't have known he'd quietly coughed into his hand "You might need a permit." Of course I'd need a permit. If the guy in Florida knew I needed a permit, the delivery driver on his own route knew it. He married pretending not to know local city policy to pretending to have provided a disclaimer so that he could check off the "I did the minimum" box and move along. Didn't matter to him that checking that box off might cause the unit to get towed and the company he claims not to represent to charge us thousands of dollars in fees. (It's in the contract.) He finally backed the unit into a different part of the parking lot. This made it only slightly more difficult for my neighbor to use his gate and partially blocked off access to the dumpsters (which the city of Goleta also LOVED). It's not the fault of the PODS driver that my neighbor disagrees with the landlord and the rest of the tenants about whether that spot in front of the dumpster was or was not reserved for the gate-having neighbor to park his large industrial truck. But it was the case that I wouldn't have had to spend four hours negotiating with my landlords and neighbors in order to talk THEM into not trying to get the unit towed if the driver had done his job and delivered the unit into the space that had been blocked off. In 2020, I trusted PODS using one to store all the things I wanted to move while I was house hunting. When I found a house in Blue Lake, PODS informed me, repeatedly and with no flexibility at all, that they would not deliver my POD to my new house, even though it is minutes off hwy. 299 minutes from hwy. 101. I offered to pay extra...NO! I offered to send my own flatbed truck to pick it up... NO! I even offered to buy the POD... NO!!! As I am a senior and the POD was around 6 hours away, I ended up hiring a moving company and they went and unloaded my POD, fighting with they POD people to let them in, packing it all up and loading it on a moving van to bring it all to my house. My stuff was just a fraction of what the giant full sized moving van held as they delivered to several places, having No Trouble delivering to Blue Lake. PODS is a fraud, and their commercials are a lie. They do not deliver everywhere. They were a nightmare, and they cost me thousands of dollars with no apology. Beware. It took months to resolve a simple billing issue with hours on the phone each time we called to try and resolve. Additionally, we had to interface with an overseas outsourced resolution team that could not only speak English very well, but could also not compute simple arithmetic. Ordered a Pod. It was delivered on time and in the exact place I wanted....so far so good. I asked for 10 moving blankets which were left in the Pod. When I went to use them they were tiny little blankets that were basically worthless. In addition Pods charged me approximately $240 or $24 each....just to use them....PER MONTH! I could go to Home Depot or Harbor or Freight and purchase big ones for less than half that. Strike one. Delivery charge $95....Strike two. Pick up charge $95 Strike three. Arranged to have Pod picked up....no show. Second time....no show. Third time...no show until I called and screamed about it. To expensive for what you get...never again. Second note: To Steve Y. I've moved 6 times in the last 6 years, so I'm no stranger to the process. This time I decided to get a POD -- such a good idea. They delivered exactly as promised, and they call/email you the night before with the service window. Marlon and his team were courteous, professional, and helpful. Watching the PODfather machine (I forget the other punny name it had) was incredible; it lifted my box and gently moved it onto the truck. They transported my POD all the way up the state, and it was happily waiting for me exactly where I had asked them to place (behind the house). Every interaction was really easy. Their website is pretty up-to-date, and the chat people (though disgruntled, must be a tough job) are knowledgeable and get things done in the system quickly. 5 stars! **This review is for their Oxnard and Milpitas offices. PODS national headquarters tried to sign me up for a 10'x17' which is huge! (Apparently you can't get a medium-sized POD for long distance moves ... only the smallest and the largest ones). They didn't even ask me, so I had to call them back and downgrade. read more

I am sure many many people have had a great experience using Pods. Unfortunately my situation was not great. I have hydraulic fluid from the truck dropping off and picking up in my driveway. I have made several phone calls to the local number and the 800 number. Every time I call I am told someone will call me and they never have except for 1 phone call. I was told that a company would be coming out to clean my driveway and they never showed up or even called. I am absolutely disgusted to think I paid several hundreds of dollars to Pods for a service and now they are not taking action to promptly fix the problem that they have created. I know it is only a driveway but it is a very clean driveway to our new home that was not full of ugly looking stains from hydraulic fluid prior to Pods backing into my driveway. The customer service at this company is by far one of the worst I've ever had to deal with (on par with public utility companies). They lock you in and make promises they can't keep and their customers are screwed with no options. I am moving cross country and booking the drop off was no issue. That's where the good ended. I was told to call 3 days in advance to schedule the pickup so I called with 5 days to pickup and they can't get it scheduled until day 13. Then my quoted 10 day time frame to deliver to new property has now magically been changed to 14. I've spent 5 hours on hold and on the phone and been blown off every single time. Last night was given a different phone number to call "corporate" and the number was just a different 855 number that sent me to same phone system with and hour wait. Then after holding for another hour and I pressed the agent about the expedited request that had been put in the day before (which they won't even call you with a yes/no until 5-6pm the day before said "expedite") she told me to call back during their open hours today so they can call the local supervisor to try and get an answer. Thus another 90min on hold and the agent today said they can't call local pickup facility my only option is to wait until 5-6pm the night before. I would happily ask anyone to review and listen to every conversation I had with an agent from booking through today. I have cancelled my order and will never use this company again. Moving within same area worked fine 2 years ago but they are completely unprepared to deal with out of state moves because they rely on third parties to be available. I would imagine they have negotiated rates with these third parties thus they don't get primary preference. read more

If you order from this Pod Company beware they will not come and pick up your POD . Called there 877 number and was told they would contact the Oxnard Pod co. but when I finally asked them for the local number and called a lady be the name of Rose said she never got any messages from them. Said they were backed up for 2 weeks and of course that is when my next rental date is due, so they hold your Pod and charge you for another month and then come and pick it up.Beware of this Pod Company. read more

As a veteran of relocation, I'm automatically skeptical of all moving companies. I've had only one good experience. Not great odds. Mind you, PODS isn't a moving company, per se...but I think they might just be better than one. The gist is: they drop off a big old storage unit on your driveway, you take your time to fill it, they come pick it up and either take it to your new home or take it to their storage facility. Genius. Finally, relief from the 6-hour dash of moving madness in order to get a rental truck back in time! This particular PODS location gets extra points. They're incredibly nice, extremely, helpful, punctual, and efficient. Our POD was delivered by Laurie, who was an absolute ray of sunshine. (And, how cool is it to have a lady mover?!?) Furthermore, she is a precision master at moving the amazing, giant remote control robot that picks the POD up off the truck and places it in the driveway. That contraption (called Podzilla, by the way) is one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time...and Laurie has got it down to a science. If only they had a robot that came in to move all my furniture. One can dream. read more

Our problem was when we took out a tape measure and realized the inside measurements were several inches off the advertised 8' by 8' by 16' AFTER we had the POD almost filled. We quickly realized those missing inches would not allow us to stand up a couch inside the POD nor move a whole house using two of these PODs. We called PODS customer service and basically got the runaround about getting discount. When the manager came on the line he told me the missing inches didn't matter and then thought he could keep us as a customer for $50. We ended the call by cancelling the entire order which included a second POD that was to be delivered as well the shipping of the first POD. It was agreed that in lieu of dropping off the second POD - they would just pick up the first POD that would be empty. And so I thought this was going to be over - learned my lesson about PODS. Now the landlord was advised we would turn in the keys once the POD was removed fron the driveway which was scheduled for Saturday, 06/15. I called PODS twice to make sure they were going to pick up the POD. And both times they assured me it was. They ended up picking up the POD on Monday costing me 2 more days of rent. Since then, I have been emailing PODS to be reimbursed for the two days of extra rent ($190) I had to pay. It's now September with no final answer. So here's my advice. If you have a small load, time to move and don't mind paying a premium over other moving methods then PODS is for you. If you're moving a whole house - even down the street - pick a different method. And if there's a problem, you're not going to get your money back .. just maybe $50, for them to be rude to you. read more

I am a veteran mover having moved 6 times in the last 15 years. I really liked my PODS experience,. It was very nice to be able to take my time and load the pods over time. Opposed to the frantic day, throwing everything in the truck, burning daylight and rallying your friends. My wife (all 105 lbs of her) my two kids (12,13) and I were able to mange the whole house and not bother anyone with our move. This appealed to me also. So I used 2 - 16 foot pods delivered for our home. I staggered them one week apart. The deal is, as long as you get them filled and transported within 1 month the price is the same so we opted to take our time. You can have them taken back to the storage facility and then shipped to your new home and it is cheaper than having them taken straight over. Did not see the logic mathematically in that but that is what I wanted to do. This was a short distance move and it seemed very reasonable. Because this was my first time I was really having trouble with the dates of when everything was happening because of floating and changing move / close dates. And when the sellers of the home had to stay a few extra days I really got confused. So I called Crystallyn to try and figure out what to do. She was very helpful and understanding with my confusion and talked me through. The pods themselves were very clean and I felt comfortable with all my stuff in them. They were also very roomy inside without a lot of wasted space. If I had to complain about something it would be that you have to plan ahead. It takes about 5-7 days out for pick up and delivery, when they are busy, so be sure to schedule your moves well in advance. They were accommodating when I had to change plans. We picked PODS for convenience and price. And, WOW, did we ever get great service at every turn. We got initial delivery in Annapolis MD on time, and filled it as we reduced our ownership that had accumulated over the past 19-years. Having the POD out front made that task much more manageable than having movers show up. The pick up in Annapolis was also PERFECTLY on time, expertly loaded for transit to the West Coast, then delivered to our next home as promised. Our new driveway is narrow and twisty with an impossible turn, but no problem for driver Lionel Belle. He noticed that a few things had slid toward the door, so he leveraged the PodZilla to make getting the door open less of a hassle. Great guy!! This whole operation concluded, again on time. When ordering my pod they gave me the exact day that I ordered it and pick up. But be careful of hidden charges and taxes can get very expensive. And it is not really 30 days that is reserved for you depending if there are hollidays involved. Everything was fine but when they delivered the pod there was a picture frame stuck up on the rafters of the pod from last customer and when the driver came he said it was mine and I told him was not mine. Had a last minute need for pod and they came through in a pinch. The driver was amazing getting to our ranch at dark and backing down a treacherous 100 yard road. He dropped the pod in easy access for us to unload. Can't imagine any regular driver pulling this off . read more

A couple weeks ago my disabled brother moved from North Carolina to Oxnard, California. As the one handling the move from the California side of things, I was nervous. I had never dealt with PODS before and I didn't know what to expect. In the time leading up to the actual day of the POD delivery I spoke several times on the phone with Rose, in the PODS office, trying to figure out the logistics. She was so patient and helpful. There were issues with where we could park the POD at my brother's new apartment. Rose and her boss, Al, looked at the apartment complex lay out and figured it out for me. They even got on the phone to talk to the property manager at the apartment complex. They really went above and beyond. When the big day arrived, the POD was delivered perfectly, and by Al himself. I was still nervous because my brother had lost the key to the lock on the POD. So I brought bolt cutters with me. The movers (Meathead Movers - they were good too) were ready to go to work unpacking the POD. But then, DISASTER! The lock on the POD was a disc lock, and immune to the bolt cutter. I had no idea what to do. But Al did! He called the PODS office and asked someone to bring him a grinder. Fifteen minutes later Rose showed up with the grinder and Al went to work on the disc lock. Meeting Rose in person was like seeing a friend - we actually hugged. Al grinded through the lock in no time and we were in business. I can't say enough about how helpful, professional and friendly Al and Rose were. I highly recommend Oxnard PODS. read more

I used PODS to move from Chicago to Los Angeles!!! I used a 7x7! I am 100% pleased with this company! It cost me about $2500 they dropped off the PODS on time/picked up on time & the delivery since there was no space in front of my apartment, they let me to go to their storage & pick up my stuff there & they refunded me $168!!!! I did read some not so good reviews about them (like any business) prior to hiring them & it did scare me. But I think if you choose a date & stick to it, may be you get lucky like me. O & my belongings came with no scratch on them. I had lots of crystals...I bought "heavy duty" boxes from HomeDepot & packed everything very good & in the pods make sure you use ROPE TO KEEP THEM IN PLACE!!!!!!! Also PODS does sell boxes, very low quality. Don't waste your money there, get "heavy duty" & much cheaper boxes from HomeDepot! I will use PODS again for sure!!!!
