This bakery is the second store by the French couple who started the Petite Gourmand grocery on Bandywood. original store has chips, various sauces and spices, as well as some limited number of sandwiches and croissants each day. This store is purely a bakery, so no shortage of sandwiches or pastries. If you want to taste truly authentic French bagets and croissants without having to travel to France, come here!

Fantastic authentic French bread and pastries. Mostly a take away spot with a couple of sidewalk cafe tables to enjoy an espresso and bite on site. So many delicious options made it hard to choose. But I can highly recommend the quiche, almond croissant, and macarons. Always love to support small women owned businesses as a bonus, and easy to do when it's this high level quality!

Pricey but really good treats, so it's definitely a treat yourself kind of place. The macarons are light and delicious, perfect texture and filling inside. I got the passion fruit, earl grey, chocolate, and coffee macarons and the passion fruit is probably my favorite because it has that fresh passion fruit taste. The earl grey stood out as well because it tasted like the tea. They sell sandwiches, croissants, and coffee as well. I tried their ham and cheese croissant and the kind guy heated it up for me and it was good. As you can see, lots of cheese on top. Lots of parking spots here. I wish there was more seating, there's only 2 little tables outside, but it makes sense since the space is small.

A cute little french grocery store, smelled really good once I entered inside. Today although they had limited options in bakery items. Service was really good. I tried their macarons in flavor coffee and chocolate. Chocolate ones were a lil bit on the sweeter side for me but coffee was good.

Team members were so sweet and nice! They were helpful with helping me to pick out pastries as it was my first time here. I stopped in to buy a thank you gift but I will be back for myself because these pastries are gorgeous

I think this place is a little overpriced. Maybe because it's in Nashville... Who knows. The macaroon did not taste fresh at all it was subpar. The lemon tart was a tiny amount lemon curd with mostly crust. I did not like the crust it went in the trash so you get maybe about 1 to 2 tablespoons of lemon curd on the top, which was tasty. But for the price you pay, not worth it.

WOW!! the mille feuille is one of the best things i've ever tasted. PLEASE TRY!!! I also tried the plain croissant. it was really yummy but just a regular croissant Easy parking lot out front, no seating inside. super cute inside and good service! no line when i went mille feuille: 10/10 plain croissant: 9/10

Even though we came in the late afternoon and there were not that many pastries to choose from, we really liked the place, everything was delicious and beautiful. Very good coffee. I noticed that most people had to-go orders since there are only 2 small tables outside of the shop.

Delicious and delicate pastries, but with a steep price tag. My trip here was by accident. I had an errand in the same shopping center and popped in after to get my wife some treats. I bought a six pack of macarons and one caramel eclair. The macarons were perfect! Light and chewy with just the right amount of filling. My favorite was the coconut, pistachio, and the coffee flavor. My wife loved the sea salt caramel and chocolate hazelnut. The passion fruit macaron was just meh. The caramel eclair was also just ok. I'm not sure if it was the flavor or the texture, but neither of us were feeling it. These treats do cost a pretty penny, but you can see the effort and care that goes into each one. They are like tiny works of art. I'm not sure if I would go out of my way to come back here, but if I was the neighborhood I would stop in and try their savory pastries. That ham and cheese croissant was calling my name!

    Come early or this!!! Lol

Stop.... I love the imported beverages but those pastries??? Awesome and attentive customer service. But those pastries??? Call me a snob because I just came back from Europe... but even the Euro train pastries where fresher then theses. My family said don't bring these back home again. Noted. ***SPECIAL MENTION*** There are now only 3 restaurants that can make me pull over and eat the pastry before making it home. I really need for this establishment to work with Brightside Bakeshop on how to make the pain aux raisins. Dozen Bakery on how to make a basic croissant. And (newly found for me) Buttermilk Ranch on non-classic croissants. Because the 3 mentioned restaurants, I have literally pulled over to devour their pastries that usually don't make it home. And if your pastries are not making my mouth water so bad to pull over and continue eating them in a parked space, then it's wasting my time and money. So all I can say is do better! I do understand this is not Lillie, France. And I probably shouldn't compare. But dear God... these were just horrible. We didn't finish them. That was $90 of pastry down the drain. Just do better! I know you can! You have 3 restaurants I've listed to get notes on how!

What a neat little place this is, located in a pretty epic part of the city considering the notable restaurants nearby. Little Gourmand transports me back to France where I have often vacationed, with artfully-decorated pastries and quiche made fresh, potato chips and snacks imported from France, even a French radio station playing over the speakers. It's really an immersive experience. I was very happy to find my favorite dessert featured here, the Napoleon. It was flaky, creamy, flavorful, everything it should be. The raspberry éclair was also pretty good, and the variety of éclairs is tremendous! The ham and cheese breakfast croissant was light and airy, expertly prepared and of very high quality. The spinach and feta version was even better. Little Gourmand is a pricey stop, but you're paying for quality. They definitely passed my test.

The most authentic, sweet little Parisian bakery in berry hill just off Franklin road! I stopped in for a Parisian baguette sandwich and some macaroons.... And it did not disappoint! Highly recommend the Campagnard baguette and salted caramel macaroon. Fair warning: there are only two little outside bistro tables for seating.

It's a small building with not a lot of tables. We had reservations, and I would not show up depending on getting a table without reservations. Parking is minimum, but I found a place on a side street. All things considered, I wouldn't choose the place for more than four per party. In such a small space in June in the south, the temperature inside could have been a little cooler. I never reached the level of discomfort but didn't miss it by much. The night we were there, they had a delicious shrimp dish for a special appetizer. We shared the Escargots de Bourgogne for the table, and it didn't disappoint. Our party of three ordered two of the Le Filet Mignon's both cooked medium rare. It had a great taste, and I recommend without hesitation. One in our party ordered the Truite aux Amandes. It wasn't bad, but I have had better. It needed more sauce for one thing to help lessen a somewhat dry taste. Again, it wasn't bad but only average. For dessert, we ordered Crème Brulée and Mousse au Chocolat. Both were very good. For wine, I had a couple glasses of Chateau La Coze Bellevue St-Emition.

A love letter, a thank you, and a heartbroken goodbye to one of Nashville's most important…read morerestaurants. For those unfamiliar: Margot Cafe & Bar opened on June 5, 2001, and will close its doors exactly 25 years later on June 5, 2026. Chef Margot McCormack gave Nashville a full year's notice, so this isn't a sudden gut-punch closing; it's a chef going out on her own terms, after a quarter century of running a beloved restaurant. Bittersweet, but graceful. (Still not over the closing of sister restaurant & cozy brunch spot Marché, which shuttered in June 2020, an early local dining casualty during the pandemic.) If you haven't read Steve Cavendish's excellent essay "Dish Network" (featured in Greetings from New Nashville, a collection of essays edited by another local, Steve Haruch), do yourself a favor and pick it up. It lays out exactly what Margot meant to this city: how her opening was the lightning rod that shifted Nashville's dining scene from a sea of chain restaurants to the chef- and ingredient-driven landscape that ultimately earned three local spots Michelin recognition in the inaugural South ceremony this fall. I came in one last time for dinner and one last time for brunch this past week. Brunch has always been my favorite here, and sitting at the bar earlier this week was unlike any other meal I've had in Nashville. The seats around me were filled with locals, many wearing nostalgic Margot merch, who had come as solo diners for one last meal. Strangers were reminiscing with each other and with the staff about what this place has meant to them. It was the kind of communal, slightly teary, genuinely warm experience you can't manufacture; it only happens at a restaurant that has truly been part of a city's fabric for decades, and we're collectively grieving that loss. A conversation topic that kept coming up across both of my visits is something I'm honestly still wrestling with: so many wonderful restaurants have opened in Nashville since Margot first paved the way, but very few are doing it the way Margot does. The menu truly changes every day. It's hyperlocal, ingredient-driven, based on whatever came in that morning. When I came in for brunch, the bartender told me to nix the strawberries listed on the printed menu in favor of farm-fresh blueberries because that was literally what had been brought in that morning. For dinner, I had a pappardelle (sourced from another excellent local spot: Mr. Aaron's Goods) with gigante beans in a garlicky, comforting sauce that I am genuinely still dreaming about almost a week later. Paired it with a dry pinot gris, on a rainy night, it was pure cozy magic. I can't tell you exactly what to order if you're lucky enough to snag one of the final reservations, because by the time you get there the menu will be different. But that's the whole point. That's the Margot ethos. Margot has always been comfort food, friendship, and celebrating local to me. I'm heartbroken to see it end, but so, so grateful for the inimitable legacy Margot leaves behind for the Nashville restaurant scene to follow. Thank you, Chef Margot, for everything you've given this city.
