Staff was very friendly, he offered to warm it up too despite it being so busy. Parking was a bit rough because it's a strip, and I recommend getting there early! I got the passion fruit, earl grey, chocolate, and coffee macarons and the passion fruit is probably my favorite because it has that fresh passion fruit taste. The earl grey stood out as well because it tasted like the tea. They sell sandwiches, croissants, and coffee as well. I tried their ham and cheese croissant and the kind guy heated it up for me and it was good. As you can see, lots of cheese on top. Lots of parking spots here. The lemon tart was a tiny amount lemon curd with mostly crust. I did not like the crust it went in the trash so you get maybe about 1 to 2 tablespoons of lemon curd on the top, which was tasty. Delicious and delicate pastries, but with a steep price tag. My trip here was by accident. I had an errand in the same shopping center and popped in after to get my wife some treats. I bought a six pack of macarons and one caramel eclair. The macarons were perfect! Light and chewy with just the right amount of filling. My favorite was the coconut, pistachio, and the coffee flavor. My wife loved the sea salt caramel and chocolate hazelnut. The passion fruit macaron was just meh. The caramel eclair was also just ok. I'm not sure if it was the flavor or the texture, but neither of us were feeling it. These treats do cost a pretty penny, but you can see the effort and care that goes into each one. They are like tiny works of art. I'm not sure if I would go out of my way to come back here, but if I was the neighborhood I would stop in and try their savory pastries. Little Gourmand transports me back to France where I have often vacationed, with artfully-decorated pastries and quiche made fresh, potato chips and snacks imported from France, even a French radio station playing over the speakers. It's really an immersive experience. I was very happy to find my favorite dessert featured here, the Napoleon. It was flaky, creamy, flavorful, everything it should be. The raspberry éclair was also pretty good, and the variety of éclairs is tremendous! The ham and cheese breakfast croissant was light and airy, expertly prepared and of very high quality. As a Francophile I was especially delighted to find this little gem tucked right off of 8th Avenue. The little gourmand offers baked French treats both sweet and savory. I picked up a tomato goat cheese quiche, pistachio eclair, mille feuille, and a hot chocolate. The quiche was delightfully flavorful and light; the sweets were as you would imagine--delicious and not overly sugary. I especially enjoyed my hot chocolate. The real deal, folks! Everything I've ever had here is just as good or even better than what I've eaten in France. It's shocking this place can be found in an unassuming strip mall. From what I understand, the owner is from Paris, France. I cannot imagine a French pastry shop in Paris being much better! My wife and I both had ham and cheese croissant, and a pain au chocolat! Little Gourmand - A variety of delicious tartelettes for Easter! - Bakeries Near Me - Berry Hill, Tennessee

It's picnic time in Music City and there's no better place to pick up some of the best sandwiches in town, plus sparkling beverages and sweets, than Little Gourmand. This location is the original, where all the food is prepared daily. If you haven't tried their freshly baked baguettes, you are in for a treat--they are absolutely authentic in chew and flavor. The simplest sandwich is my favorite because it has 4 highest quality ingredients: housemaid French baguette, French butter, French ham and French cornichons. It is perfect--because each ingredient is superlative: the ham texture and flavor is so different from here in the US, the butter's rich sweet/screams France, and even the little pickle slices are neither sharp and acidic or overly sweet! Take one bite, close your eyes and you are in France! The croissants are the best I've found in Nashville but are best first thing in the morning as our humidity can make them a tad damp as the day goes on: flaky, beautifully layered, a hint of sweetness. The sweets are so abundant I've never gotten to them all! Two macarons are my faves: the Sea Salt Caramel -- perfectly, paper-thin, brittle exterior, soft-never-gummy interior and decadent caramel in the center AND one I've never seen anywhere else, the Creme Brûlée! This one is completely different as due to the incredibly generous creme brûlée filling it is moist, so the texture is not like the rest, but soft and a bit chewy. It is amazing! The mango-passion fruit tart is heavy on the passion fruit which I love, and is large enough to serve 2 people amply for dessert, or 3 after a large meal. I don't recommend eating an entire one all by yourself; I foolishly tried this and was overcome :)))). There are many sandwiches available including one with French Brie so check their menu, and don't forget the quiche, with that silken texture the French do best. The Green Hills location has a French grocery as well, with all sorts of tempting products! read more
