Food is decent with a spin. It gets quite packed with minimal parking and walkability within the gulch. Decent amount of seating and feels modern. Service was good 7.6/10

Milk & Honey was definitely worth the hype. We visited on a busy Saturday morning, so there was a wait, but the host stand was organized and the quoted wait time ended up being very accurate. We ordered the shakshuka and two orders of the Hodgepodge Hash. The shakshuka was delicious, but the Hodgepodge Hash completely stole the show. Great food, efficient service despite the crowd, and a fun atmosphere. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Nashville.

I'm not sure how this place gets so much hype. While our waiter was great, the food was subpar. Everything was either undercooked or overcooked, and it took forever to get our food. The lattes were so bad that no one at our table finished theirs. They were so busy when we went, and the decor was cute and themed, but I probably wouldn't come back here. Their systems also weren't working, so we had to get up from the table and checkout manually at the register.

I recently visited Nashville to celebrate a friend's 70th birthday. Based on the excellent reviews we had heard, Milk & Honey was high on our list of places to try. Located in the Gulch, it was just a short Uber ride from our downtown area hotel. Before we were even seated we were already enchanted with the adorable 'cow bee' t-shirt. Get it? Milk and honey? Cute huh? Our table of 7 women ordered a variety of brunch sandwiches and biscuits. While everyone enjoyed their meals, I can only give specifics on what I ordered. I had the Mr. Croissant with home fries, and because I wanted to try the biscuits, I also added a biscuit with honey and butter to my order. The croissant and biscuit were great. Next time, I'd give a miss to the included home fries and opt for the fruit instead. My vanilla bean latte was very good and my friend loved her mocha. To celebrate the Birthday Girl, we ordered two bottles of champagne and two flights of juices to make mimosas. We all took homemade strawberry pop tarts to go. We loved the vibe, service, and food and will happily return the next time we are in Nashville!

Delicious food and great service! I started with the Milk and Honey latte, which was excellent. We ordered the Farmhouse Biscuit and the Hot Chicken Biscuit, and both were fantastic. The hot honey sauce on the tables was also great for adding a little extra spice. We really enjoyed the atmosphere as well. We arrived early for breakfast and were seated right away, but by the time we left, there was a line out the door. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out!

Meh. Personally found this place to be very average -- and overrated after seeing all over as one of the "must eat" places when visiting Nashville. When ranking our meals, this place came in dead last. The service was great -- our serve was very nice and attentive. All of the food was basic and mediocre. The biscuits were very dry. The bacon was overcooked (and I like crispy bacon). The Bloody Mary was only ok. I ordered a pineapple mimosa, and it was so fizzy that it was hard to drink. We didn't get coffee, so maybe we missed out on that. We sat outside on the heated patio, which was pleasant. Inside was nicely decorated, but very loud. Just expected more out of this place I guess.

The food was fantastic. The shashuka in daily house made marinara sauce! Wow! The service was fast and efficient without a feeling of being rushed. It was an exceptional dining experience. Kaleigh D. was the best server I've had in a restaurant in ages. What a gem! She knows the menu, loves the food, and is proud of the scratch kitchen philosophy. This is what you hope for when you are from out of town and aren't sure where to go. It's the small shared moments that will make Nashville memorable and this for my husband and I will be one of them. We got there around 9 am without a wait. When we left, the place was alive and hopping. Wish they sold the house made raspberry jam!

This place was so awesome!!!! Everything was great from the food to the service to the atmosphere. My friend and I ordered Shakshouka and Mr. Croissant sandwhich to share. They were both so fresh and delicious! They also had great house made specialty lattes that were so so good. Our server, I believe her name was Josephine, was so kind and attentive. She checked on us throughout our meal. We decided to stop in another morning just for a coffee for the road and she recognized us and was so happy to see us! Really awesome experience, would definitely recommend!

This was our first stop after an early morning flight into Nashville. Everyone was hungry and I'm glad we stopped at Milk and Honey because we definitely left full! They have large inside and outside eating areas, a bar inside that serves brunch-type cocktails, and a cute little merch area. Our server was really friendly and gave us recommendations on the food and drinks. Don't miss the honey butter biscuits, they are a must have!!! I ordered the Burnt Sugar iced Latte and the avocado toast, both of which were delicious. Our server recommended we put the Honey Hot Sauce that was on the table, on pretty much everything so some of the table used it and said it was very good. The menu had so many delicious sounding items, I look forward to trying more!!

Wish we had picked this spot earlier in the week, it was great. There was a line and a wait on a Sunday, of course. We put our name in but a spot opened up at the bar area and we were able to snag it. The bartenders serving the drinks and taking the orders were great! Super friendly, upbeat and personable. You don't get that everywhere, so it is worth noting. Ordered a burnt sugar latte, it was pretty good. after consulting with the bartender/server I went with the Hot Mess, a biscuit sandwich with hot pepper jam, bacon, avocado, pickled onion, chipotle crema, sunny egg, and cilantro. Normally has pepper jack cheese but I asked for it without. It came with crispy potatoes. It was delicious. The biscuit was flaky and soft; the chipotle crema was smoky and went well with all the other ingredients. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside and were great with the house made honey hot sauce. I ordered a scone to go and it was super good, great crumb and perfect texture. I really enjoyed the space, the service, and the food!

Walked to the Gulch my last morning in town and decided to grab a seat at the bar to enjoy a hot latte and chicken biscuit. Waitress recommended sauce on side and so glad I did, it was HOT! Their bottle hot sauce was delicious however and the perfect heat level. Biscuit was flaky and delicious and egg was cooked perfectly. The milk & honey latte was so good, amazing flavor of honey. Staff was all kind and very efficient (toast system was down and they had to write everything down to ring in and feed back to kitchen). Inside has tables to sit at, at bar, a small to go area and merchandise to buy. Would highly recommend coming here!!

Milk & Honey was a recommended breakfast stop and I couldn't agree more. I started with the Burnt Sugar Latte. Excellent taste and wake me up! My wife also got the Burnt Sugar Latte and a juice. She raved about how good the juice tasted. Fresh and a perfect start. Decided to try the strawberry pop tart and was not expecting it to be so incredibly delicious. Flaky crust and the filling, just perfect treat to start. Next the Big Kid Breakfast which is my go to breakfast and I am still a kid at heart. Two eggs over easy, home fries, applewood bacon, sourdough toast with honey, and fresh berries. Everything was cooked perfectly and delightful. Pure comfort food that provided an awesome start to the day. My amazing wife got the Chicken & Waffles. I agree it was another solid option, the waffle & chicken is an interesting combination, but it works well. She loved it. We also got a buttermilk biscuit and in my opinion it was the best biscuit I had in Nashville. Fluffy, Flaky, and just heavenly. The staff were fantastic and provided excellent service. I would definitely return and loved the ambiance and vibe. Just a wonderful place to grab breakfast.

I had breakfast here recently and really enjoyed it. The food was delicious, staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely a great breakfast/brunch place. I had the Fig & Proscuitto Toast: Fig preserves, proscuitto, gorgonzola, goat gouda, arugula, kalamata olives, sourdough. This was delicious. All my favorite toppings. I also had a biscuit with strawberry jam and honey. This was delicious too. Soft inside, not too flakey. Yummy jam and honey.

Ask the Community - Milk & Honey

What about kids? Is it kid friendly?

I saw families there. It's very busy inside and not a lot of space but nothing that would prevent kids.

    Do they take reservations?

No. You have to go in and check in at the front table and they will put your name on the waitlist and text you when the table is ready. There are shops nearby so we went shopping until they messaged us.

Are you open New Year's Day? And do you take reservations?

    I am not

Still have Jamison whiskey with butterscotch snaps and oj?

Yes! We still feature it on our menu!

Is this an ideal place to go when you have only an hour for lunch?

not really there's typically a long wait and they don't take reservations

    So parkings not impossible?

Street parking is available. There is also a city garage about 0.5 miles away.

*Specific question* Is there gluten free toast? (I am aware from the menu and other questions that there are GF "options" but my husband specifically wants toast and I don't want to wait until I'm there to find out if they have it.)

There was nothing gf listed on the menu. They have sourdough bread.

Can you tell me if you circle free bread or gluten-free pancakes or gluten-free pizza ? Thx !!!?

As I recall there were several GF options

Is there a private area for private party of 20 people?

No, there are no party rooms.

    Are there gluten free options?

Yes there are see their menu

How long has Milk and Honey Nashville been around?

    What brand of oat milk?

    Oatly!

    Do they take reservations?

They are currently not taking any reservations or call aheads!

Does the menu specify gluten free options or is the staff aware of which are gluten free?

the menu says gluten free options, but you can also ask them for gluten free options if you see something you like but it doesn't specify

Do they take reservations for large groups? ANSWER--- I just called, they do NOT take reservations…

For brunch they don't, not even call a-heads. You physically have to go and talk to the host to put your name down, then you are able to give them a phone number. That is what I do on Sunday's then shop around the Gulch till my table is ready.…

We're meeting friend here at 9am on Saturday. Any suggestions where to park? And how long a wait would we expect at this time?

There is a parking garage super close by. As for a wait time I'd say earlier the better!

Are there gluten free/friendly menu items here?

Yes! A pretty good selection. And the staff is very accommodating with dietary requests.

What's special about this place than any other breakfast place in Nashville like Biscuit Love?

This restaurant has a well mix of foods, biscuit love has heavier southern breakfast options. At Milk and Honey you can either go for coffee or an actual lighter or heavier meal depending on your mood.

What time does it start getting crowded Sundays?

    10-12

Do they offer bottomless mimosas (esp on Sunday)?

No I don't believe they do, sinema, sutler and city tap house does

The venison was tender, perfectly cooked, and seasoned to perfection. Dessert was unforgettable. The chocolate mousse à la mode was rich yet light, paired with creamy vanilla ice cream and a hint of passion fruit. Three of us ordered that. We knew it would not be for sharing. The blueberry sundae featured the best blueberries we've ever tasted. And then there was the chocolate peanut butter brownie ice cream. As someone who's spent years trying chocolate peanut butter ice cream everywhere-from roadside shops to gelato in Italy-I can confidently say ETCH's version deserves to be considered one of the best in the world. The creamy chocolate and peanut butter, combined with rich brownie pieces, made it absolutely unforgettable. So when I knew we would be in Nashville, there were no questions: we were going to Maneet's! Mocking bird was the best choice for us as Indian food would not have been the best for our kids, and me as I can be a picky eater. Easily made reservation on-line. Heads up, no real street parking in the area so we had to park across the street in a parking garage (for a fee.) It was a Saturday night and the place was bleak! I couldn't believe it. There loss... The interior is meticulously decorated. Everything was very modern with some flare like the giant mirrored mocking bird protruding from the wall (super cool.) Sitting inside, you felt a little upscale. I tried a few things as there were 6 of us at the table. We started with Don't Worry, Brie Happy and Keepin' It Rio. The Brie bites were DELICIOUS!! I am still thinking of them 2 months later. I should have ordered this as my entree as well! The Rio, I could have done without. Squishy and lacked flavor for me. My cousin had Tot's El Tio Fun. Needed something. I thought it was a little dry. I did the trio. My choices: Brussels, fried rice and mac and cheese. I didn't realize these would be smaller than the original side version. The brussels needed more of a sauce. The rice- I wanted the egg on top but apparently this only happens when it is just the side. The mac and cheese was good. My friend raved over the Wedge between Us salad. My husband had the Bird Is The Word and has nothing but good things to say. Also, what a cute kids meal served in an only school microwaveable type of meal. I also felt I had to get a desert so the cookies it was and they were a little hard. My complaint- their website advertises the Happy Hour specials. They have it posted on the stalls in the bathroom. Nowhere does it say that you can only have the Happy Hour specials if you sit at the bar or outside. This made me upset! Advertise better. Be clear. Overall: the BRIE!!! True Score: 3.75

We came here for late dinner, 8.30 and this place was not packed which is very surprising, bc they play music jazz music, and you can have a lovely dinner and still hear ppl talk. But the best thing is their pork chop !!! This is a must get. Thank me later. We got the pork chop medium well bc we like our pork more cooked bc ain't no one trying to get salmonella from undercooked pork. But it was sooo good, has a nice char on the outside, and perfectly seasoned. Additionally, it sits on top of a bed of allegedly "rice" according to our server. But to me, it reminded me of a tendon brisket texture. I would've bet money on it too. But delicious with sweet peach sauce that came with it. For the prime rib, it was a huge cut of meat, but it was lacking flavor, needed some more salt and some rosemary to bring out the meat. Both main dishes can serve 2 people each, so worth the price and food. Definitely come back! And a shout out to our server Cole, who was great

Came for a happy hour after seeing a sign out on the street and that they had live music. The deals…read morethey have for happy hour are definitely still on the pricier side as wine was $7 and cocktails around $12. We sat at the bar. Service was fast and friendly. I didn't actually love the wine I got but that's probably more personal preference. They did have two red options though.

I had been wanting to visit Butcher & Bee for a long time, and I'm so glad I finally made it. The…read morerestaurant was completely packed when we visited, so I'm really glad I booked a table well in advance. They have a relatively small entrée menu, and the entrées are definitely on the pricey side. However, they have a great selection of appetizers and smaller plates, which makes it easy to try a variety of dishes. I decided to go with the Chef's Choice option, where the chef decides what you eat. Honestly, I'm really glad I went with this because it allowed us to experience a wide variety of dishes without having to choose everything ourselves. We started with fried potatoes with green garlic chimichurri and whipped feta with dip. The whipped feta was absolutely amazing and one of the first highlights of the meal. We then received a couple of special bite-sized appetizers, including bacon-wrapped dates and beet falafel bites. The bacon-wrapped date was delicious, and the beet falafel was a fun and flavorful bite. The halibut sushi was good, but the real surprise for me was the avocado and crispy rice salad. This dish was absolutely out of this world! The crispy rice added an amazing texture, and the combination of flavors was fantastic. For the entrée, we had the house kebab platter, which came with house shishito peppers, fried okra, mushrooms, chicken and steak kebabs, along with a side of fermented pepper. There was a lot going on with this platter, and it was a great way to finish the savory part of the meal. We ended dinner with the peach and almond Malabi, which was delicious and a perfect way to finish the meal. Overall, Butcher & Bee completely lived up to my expectations. The Chef's Choice experience was definitely the right decision, especially for someone like me who loves trying different dishes. The food was creative, flavorful, and full of interesting combinations. The only thing to keep in mind is that the entrées can be quite expensive, but the smaller plates give you a chance to sample a lot of different flavors. Definitely make a reservation ahead of time because this place fills up quickly!

We had a great experience, celebrating a birthday here and heard about B&B for a while. The Whipped…read morefeta definitely lives up to what we have heard with the fresh warm pita. Other dishes were ok we had the chicken Shawarma hummus, bacon wrapped dates, steak, and beet falafel. The dirty martini feta martini was very onion forward Aba is much better in my opinion. My mom had the Caprese cocktail it tasted off. Definitely think the drinks here missed the mark unfortunately compared to other restaurants in the area. The miso chocolate cake was fantastic and we got a sorbet along with it which was refreshing. Over all a great meal service was ok our waitress just seemed a bit fake and was hard to find when the restaurant did not seem super busy. Might have to try again!
