First time on 4/24/26. Got the coconut shrimp as an appetizer, great with a very flavorful curry sauce with little to no spice. Service was great, a good balance between attentive and not overbearing. Ambiance was good except for the loud music. Had their chicken Tikka Saag - medium spice. Boneless tender meat pieces, cooked with chopped spinach & freshly ground spices, garlic, ginger, onion, tomato & whipped yogurt delicately added. Having never ventured out beyond chicken tikka masala before, this was a delicious treat! Add some garlic Naan and their excellent Chai, and my taste buds were dancing! I have been by Little India multiple times while in West Highlands but never stopped in until I saw their Denver restaurant deal. Clearly, a lot of people realized how good the detail was for Denver restaurant week and also decided to go. We got there fairly early on a Friday night. There were only a few people waiting so, we put our name in and grab a cocktail down the street. I was told it would be a 45 minute wait. I went back, because I still had not receive a text that our table was ready about 50 minutes since we put our name in. When I put my name, it was clear there were tables available soon but also clear they were short staffed. We finally were seated 1 hour and 15 minutes from putting our name in. Then we waiting another 15 minutes for our waitress to come to table. Of course, we already read the menu and knew what we wanted. So, we ordered everything. It took a long time for our food to arrive so, we when we told the waitress we couldn't wait for dessert she gave us another bottle of wine to-go. It was nice of her, and clearly not her fault that they were short staffed but, the owners should be ashamed. If you are going to run a promotion and better be prepared. On top of it all, the food was just fine. I can see why they do a lot of carry out orders, but after that experience and just ok Indian food, we decided we won't be back. read more

We had a nice little takeaway dinner from Little India in the Highlands the other night. I called in our order- it was very easy and the staff I spoke to was pleasant. My husband ran in to get it and said that the inside of the restaurant is stunning and that it was too bad we had our dog in the car and couldn't eat in! He had the chicken tiki korma and I had the Naveretine Korma and we shared plain naan. I appreciate the fact that they gave us plenty of rice for our entrees and the naan was good, although thicker than I've had from other restaurants. I think that while both of our meals were very good (and we ate everything- it all reheated well for lunch the next day) the food itself wasn't the best Indian either of us had ever eaten. It came out steaming hot with delectable essence and a variety of citrus. The rice was cold and unflavored. The naan also quite bland. The chai was powdered. The service was incredible. Lakshmi and her colleagues treated us with respect and efficiency. She was receptive to the feedback given. The ambience is one of the most beautiful I've seen. A designer clearly took time to manifest a welcoming, cultural experience. It is perfect for family, dating, or a romantic anniversary. Hit the spot on a late night! after playing some local pickleball i was craving butter chicken and garlic naan and little India did not disappoint. We came in and ordered takeout at the bar. The server was so sweet and hooked it up with extra sauce cups of raita on the side instead of charging us $10 for a large side. It is really unfortunate to write this review, as I am a huge Little India fan and was hoping to write a ravishing review for the business. We walked in at 4pm and waited 15 mins to be greeted and seated to a table. We were given an option between bar seating, a table by the door, or a seat by the fire in the shared table. With no one else being at the shared table, my boyfriend and I opted for this location. We then waited an additional 20 mins for a server to come by, unfortunately no name was given to us, but he was wearing a backwards hat. We were ready, so we immediately gave our order. The appetizer comes out to which I have to re-ask for the Coca Cola I had initially ordered and didn't receive. We had already ordered our entrees, but ended up waiting ~20 mins in between being completely done our apps, until our food came out. Not a huge issue, but we were starving and had already waited so much time. We had ordered the saag paneer as one of our entrees, and as someone who gets this every time, I immediately knew something was off. We put this to the side and didn't finish. Server returns after drinks are empty, and upon asking for a refill, he rolls his eyes and walks away without responding. I was honestly shocked. After this we finished our meals and did not see our server for quite some time, enough time that we believe someone who was the manager came over to check in and by this point, we were more than ready for boxes and to cash out. So you know, every restaurant has 3 solid components that either make it or break it. The obvious one is food of course, the service and lastly (not many think of this one) where how an issue is treated. I think this restaurant has amazing potential. We ordered a few drinks (great cocktails by the way), two appetizers and three entrees. We ordered the onion bhajia and lamb sheekh kabab as appetizers. The onion bhajia came out really cold but they were gracious enough to give us a fresh batch. I have to point out, it is not the onion bhajia you would find in Maharashtra but nevertheless, the flavor was spot on. The lamb sheek kabab was sad. It was dry and overcooked. Lacked flavor and just didn't do it for us. For the mains, we ordered a vegetarian biryani, paneer makhani and lamb curry. The 2 vegetarian dishes were really good. Especially the biryani. The lamb dish, while the flavor of the gravy was really really good, the lamb itself was overcooked and really chewy. Our server, Adhish Shetty, a spectacular host was super polite, apologetic and knew how to fix an issue. He asked if we would like to try the same curry but with chicken instead (that got me nervous as 'most' Indian restaurants tend to get the chicken dry). I responded saying 'Sure as long as it's not dry'. He said I'll make sure this one is good. After a while, the chicken came out and the chicken was cooked PERFECTLY. It was soft, moist and had picked up the flavor of the gravy so beautifully. We had it with the chili naan (one of the best naans I've had outside of India). We let Adhish know that the naan was just spectacular and the chicken dish was outstanding. He requested the chef to come out to meet us. The chef's name is Shabaaz from Punjab in Pakistan, close to Lahore. That was a great touch. We expressed our gratitude to the chef and had a great conversation. The naan was so wonderful. It was not super crispy nor was it extremely soft. It had just the right amount of chew to it and held its own. You could have it on its own. The interiors of this restaurant is very interesting and beautiful. It has a fireplace surrounded by I think 10 to 12 high chairs (that's where we ate). Has a classy vibe. The folks here know how to treat their customers, take constructive criticism well and act to issues by actually fixing the issues. A restaurant having folks like these here is a blessing to the restaurant in my opinion. Just shows that they want to pursuit that perfection. If we get a chance, will definitely visit one more time before we leave Denver later this month. read more

A ok. I have been eyeing this spot every time I come to Highlands Square and was craving some Indian food. I was hoping they still had the buffet but they stopped that awhile back. I came on Monday during lunch and there was availability to be seated right away. The inside has a nice vibe and I feel that you could come with friends or for a nice date. The waiter was friendly and helpful when I had questions. I am a butter chicken gal (no judgement) but decided to try something different because I do feel that this place was very affordable. I lucked out and caught them on a special day where the lunches were 50% off. I tried the lamb biryani which I have never tried before. I will say this is the kind of restaurant I like where prices are fair and you get a hefty amount of food. Hey I am a hungry girl, what can I say? I also ordered some garlic naan and it came with raita. Overall, the food was good but nothing eye rolling in the back of my head good. I felt a little more salt would have been great. However, I downed all the lamb biryani when I thought I might save some for later but nah...it was good that I downed it all. Let's be impressed I remembered pictures ha ha. The rest of the food (saag paneer, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan) was good, just not our favorite Indian food. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the neighborhood. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was great. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a double front door to get through. The doors are moderate weight and there's not a lot of room to maneuver between the two doors. There is a wheelchair accessible bathroom in the back, they were quick to show us where it was. It has grab bars and plenty of room to maneuver, although sink access was blocked by storage. The main bathrooms would be very hard to navigate with any type of mobility aid, other than a cane. The door handles throughout are beautiful and ornate, but make it difficult to grab if you have limited hand function. There doesn't appear to be any wheelchair accessible parking in the back lot. There is a singular accessible space across the street however. read more

We chose to sit by the large windows. We both had curries with generous portions. We thought the Makhani/butter sauce was overly tomato forward. The korma is a crowd pleaser with a coconut cream sauce. It was smooth with tender morsels of lamb. Traditionally made with yogurt but I think they used heavy cream. I love Little India! We came to the area to get pizza but when we realized that there was a Little India here we opted for that instead cuz we just couldn't resist. Our waitress was the sweetest! I'm so glad she recommended the hot chai because it was so delicious and now I know that I've gotta order that from now on when I visit next time. Met coworkers here for a holiday lunch - so glad I did. Coworker is a regular and had a coupon (email list) she shared with our party (BOGO free). Such a gorgeous interior, almost felt as if we walked into another world. Love the bright colors, the different seating options, the table side fire, the gorgeous bar and bottle displays - and of course, the food was amazing. We took advantage of their lunch buffet and happily spent the $20 per person to sample so many authentic Indian dishes. I've always been a fan of different cultures and cuisines. Went here for restaurant week with a party of four. They didn't advertise the deal at the restaurant but online it was $25 for an appetizer, rice, naan, entrée, bottle of wine, and dessert. So, a really good deal! We went to the one on 32nd St., and our reservation was at 6 PM on a Sunday. We were sat promptly, and our order was taken after a few minutes, where we ordered all of our courses at once. it started off weird as our appetizers were brought out to us over the spread of 30 minutes, and one person didn't get their appetizer until much later. All of the appetizers were very good however, including the delicious coconut shrimp. For our main courses, they came out about an hour after our appetizers. We could tell that our server was very stressed and busy as he was quite literally running around, but it was quite frustrating to wait so long for our food. We got two chicken tikka masala, a lamb curry, and another dish. the rice and naan came out a little bit after our entrée so we were waiting for that before digging in. The dessert took long to come to us after asking a few times, and the check took even longer before we cashed out. In total, the meal was about 2 1/2 hours. While the food was very good, the wait and service were very lackluster. I would go back and try the food again, but maybe at a less busy dinner time. read more

I was pretty impressed with the food and the ambiance at little India. This was my first time there, and after seeing the lunch buffet advertised I assumed it would be a lot more casual than it was. The inside of the restaurant was very nice and there was live music! We went for dinner and started with the mini samosas, which were good but I wish we got the regular sized samosas so we could have more of the inside content, rather than mostly fried wrapper. For entrees, I got the saag paneer and my husband got a chicken dish with peppers. We were both very content with our meals. The saag paneer is award winning and the taste definitely backs that up. It was perfectly creamy with a good amount of paneer. We ended our meal with kheer, which I wish was a little bit thicker. It was closer to a loose milky consistency, whereas I prefer it to be more custardy. The flavor was still good! read more

I wish this place wasn't in the neighborhood. Try Himchuli across the street - Better food, better neighbors This Little India location has caused a roach infestation in the building that has continued for months, along w/other health code violations this year (Why does Yelp's feature say 100% for health score!? The reports are public record: https://denvergov.org/restaurantinspections/Result/GetInspection?inspectionId=348333 ). The staff also plays music loudly into the a.m. every night, negatively effecting the people living above - It can be shazamed through the floors, the bass can be felt. We have a few favorite Indian spots in the area but got a coupon for little india and wanted to give it a try. So glad we did! We got the saag chole, shrimp masala, and butter chicken. Each of which were sooo yummy! We also got some naan and paratha to go with it and we're sadly unimpressed by the flat naan and crisp paratha when we are used to them being fluffy and chewy.
