Superior airport eatery! Good drinks and an eclectic menu. Service was good! We saw people sit down, read the menu, and leave. Not for everyone. But if you want to try something fresh that's different from every other airport restaurant you have tried, this is the place!

Route down is my number one go to when I flying out of DIA! I also recommend it to all my friends and family that come into Colorado for a visit and get stuck at the airport, always good food, good vibes, and services top-notch!

I love being early for a flight because it means I get to go to Rootdown! I love their breakfast tacos and they never disappoint! Friendly service and chill ambiance- I love how they have both seats for 1, just thoughtful!

Yum! For airport food, this was one of the better spots we've tried. We stopped in just before lunchtime, which worked out perfectly since we were able to order from the breakfast/brunch menu. We got the Denver breakfast sammies, and they were HUGE and delicious. The breakfast potatoes were warm and perfectly seasoned--definitely a highlight. The only minor downside was that the English muffins weren't toasted, but everything else made up for it. We were seated quickly, the staff was extremely friendly, and the food came out fast. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the Denver airport!

Decent airport dining. The server was really nice and service was quick! I got a coffee and breakfast burrito. The burrito was okay not super flavorful and lots of egg. It was large and could be shared.

This place was awesome ... Was helped by Kristen and she was just a pleasure. The food was really good ... her attention and willingness to make sure I was good goes far and beyond , great service Burger is for sure recommended.... For airport restaurant, this place for sure knows how to do it .... Gave a very chill fun vibe

Airport food is expensive yardy know! But root down got a deliciousss yogurt parfait with blueberries, dried coconut flakes, almond butter, and creamy yogurt. I also got a side of half avocado and 2 scrambled eggs which were hearty and just what I needed :-). Service was friendly and quick to take my order. Dining in would take 10 minutes and 45 minutes to get your order which they provided this disclaimer when you were being put on the waitlist. The inside was clean with lots of seating and I really loved their menu options and variety. Would definitely want to try their goat salad, banh mi, and soups next time.

Great food as always even has a kids menu. The Buddha bowl is bursting with fresh flavors from edamame, watermelon radish, Sprouts, beets and cukes. The peanut sauce has a bit of a kick to it. The chicken tenders and fries for kids are very crispy. The portions seem very generous especially the Buddha bowl, which I barely made a dent and packed most of it to go. The restaurant itself could use some TLC. The floors are sticky and the seats have seen better days (some seating pads are ripped at places). Service was top notch from start to finish and the server was on top of everything. Food and drinks came out fast despite busy lunchtime. Overall, a good experience at DIA for a family meal. It's not cheap by any means but it's the airport.

Root Down is, without a doubt, the best food I've ever had in an airport. The folks at the host stand seated me quickly in a cute little table right by the front walkway--GREAT for people-watching. My server brought me water quickly, and gave me great advice to try the noodle bowl over the farro Caesar salad, despite it being the Ides of March. The kefir peanut dressing was a little spicy, perfectly balanced, and everything was obviously incredibly fresh. I don't fly through this airport often, but if I get the chance to come through C terminal again, I'll be right back at Root Down!

We were seated within a couple minutes. Very nice staff. We placed our order. We were so pleasantly surprised. We split a burrito and it was enough for both of us. The picture doesn't do it justice.

This was a real oasis for my 2 hour layover. I was just going to get a drink but the friendly bartenders made it comfortable to add food. He checked on my flight time and relayed typical time to get food, and it came quickly as promised. My al pastor tacos were simple and delicious on very freshly made flour tortillas topped with crumbles of white Mexican cheese. I wouldn't hesitate to get more adventurous next time. everyone around me was raving about the food, the salmon bowl, etc. The menu is fresh, healthy but also cravable. Vegan and GF are clearly marked. The long beer list is put together thoughtfully. Prices are very reasonable. Full bar too. Really everything is done with care down to the hostess walking me to a bar seat where it was bustling but they take care of you. Employee owned, I see. If you have time go, and if not, there's a grab-n- go counter.

Root Down is one of my favorite Denver restaurants so it's always a treat to be able to grab a bite at the airport when I wasn't able to stop in town. Arepas and carrot soup are my favorites, with a Beet Down cocktail. Always delicious, always friendly staff, in the midst of the hustle and bustle of an airport. Well curated and quirky decor set the scene for a good time, every time.

I love that even with the place so crowded and full of guests, I got seated so fast! I love the business class like ergonomic tables for one, theres a space thought of for suitcases and that was pretty cool! Service was fast and friendly, got my Moroccan Salmon bowl and the garlic taste was so fulfilling! Love the plate, it was fantastic and the only thing missing was no one offered a drink / like isn't that from the start? I waved at a helpful random server for water... I could have ordered something else but I understand they can forget to ask. It was great food, great view and ambiance and my palate was satisfied! Thank you for an awesome dinner! Great job team!

During my layover from Rhode Island, I was trying to decide what to eat, and I saw Native American cuisine was offered here. I was so excited! Step 1: Choose a Base Experience For my first time, I chose nachos Step 2: Choose a Protein Ground Bison, since I've never had bison before. Step 3: Top with organic lettuce blend, mild cheddar cheese, sour cream, ancho chipotle, and housemade salsas Got a Fry Bread on the side. I never had fry bread, and while I'm aware of its controversial history, I enjoyed it immensely. A harmonious texture of hot crunchiness on the outside, and warm fluffiness on the inside! I'm now a convert to Native American food! For my second trip, I came back in Jan 2026 on a layover from New York. This time I got: -Ground bison on frybread base -Green chili stew with another fry bread on the side. -Wojabi cup for dessert Went from concourse A and ate it at my gate in concourse C. The stew hit the spot for my soup craving, the frybreads were heavenly, and the wojabi cup was a sweet yet healthy-ish berry dessert! This makes me so excited to try the brick-and-mortar restaurant one day when I visit Denver properly, and not just the airport!

The ingredients seemed fresh and the soup well prepared, but the flavor wasn't what I expected and didn't quite suit my taste. It wasn't bad--just different from what I anticipated.
