The vibe is welcoming and reminded me of India. Nostalgic. Service is great and undhiyu was my favorite. I learned that it's a family business from decades and definitely beats the other pricey Indian restaurants. Highly recommended.

Little India is a small spot with grocery cum chaat place. Being near to the Univ it probably attracts a lot of students, but its definitely small. All of their dishes are either hit or a miss deal. We went there for dinner and ordered Pav Bhaji, Dahi puri, Sev Puri, Chole Batura, Panipuri and Vada Pav. In all of them, Dahi puri tasted the best. The curry quantities for Pav bhaji and Batura was so less and wasn't enough at all. When my friend went up to ask for some extra pickle, he was told, we were already been given one, its not like we weren't paying for it though. Average place for a quick bite, don't expect more than that!

Food - Horrible . Go there only if you believe , the only way to loose weight is stomach upset. New Owners - RUDE. In my google review they wrote , if you want to come then good else ok. Don't hide behind internet. Read my google review and their reply is attached to this review Ambience - Except the tables which has a new light with number , it's the old look. It's decent.

This review is exclusively for the food served at this place and not the grocery isles or the store in particular. As u enter this place the place is stuffed with Indian grocery and isles all around, moving is a little difficult with the items kept all around. As u enter u have to collect a blue menu card if u want to eat something. Towards the end of the store, a step of table and chairs have been placed and u can find the kitchen. One can pick from the menu and handover the card to one of the ladies in the kitchen. I can easily tell I have tasted almost the entire menu here and could give feedback about every single item. To start with their samosas are really good, this savory dish is amazing. Its crisp and the stuffing is very tasty. Samosa chaat is sister food of samosa where they have different lentils and flavors to eat the samosa with. Their chole batura is alright and I am not a big fan of it, may be if u eat it fresh when they serve it, might taste better. I have taken a to go and it is alright. The bada pav, the bada is good but the pav they use is a sandwich bread which is sweet so its not that great. The Raj Kachori is really fascinating to see and eat. Looks good and is equally delicious. The paratha's paneer and aloo are pretty authentic and the pickles they serve with is straight from India. This place is a total authentic Indian chaat, its very close to what u could find in India. Only draw back is the cleanliness of the place, it looks cramped and crowded. Otherwise a good place for food. The price is the most reasonable u could find for Indian food. Overall a must try place if u want to eat good North Indian street food.

The Dhaba does not disappoint either, and deserve every five star review they get. Mental note to self, go down a level in heat to a 2 when ordering because they do it spicy! Their garlic naan was awesome, and the Chicken Tikka Masala was wonderful. The portion size was just right. The true winner however was the Tandoori chicken. We did a half order of it, and decided next time we would do a full order and an order of the Butter chicken to split. The waiters and owners were very attentive, and it was a pleasant atmosphere on the inside. Parking is a bit tight out front but there is plenty of parking out back.

Our server was probably one of the worst servers I have ever had. Zero personality and literally never said one word to us. Several to go orders and Uber Eats people came in and out while we waited about 10 minutes. We finally told the man at the front desk that we needed to order and get some drinks. Server came over with his notepad and looked at us to take orders, didn't say a word. When he brought the dishes, a few minutes later, he literally plopped all of them in one spot in the table without making any attempt to remember which dish went to which person. Very odd behavior The dishes on the menu are clearly marked vegetarian, vegan or contains meat. We had two dishes that were supposed to be vegan, one was a saag dish which they had placed butter over the top of. It looked delicious to everyone, but the vegans who could not eat it. When we pointed it out, they made no attempt to offer us another dish and just said oh yes, that's ghee (clarified butter) we said the menu indicated it was vegan, but again no response. The two vegans at our table just decided rather than argue, they will share the rice dish, which was also indicated as vegan. As they started to eat it, they realized there were several pieces of paneer in it. I really hope this was a one off because this was one of my favorite places to eat Indian food. Very very disappointing and no accommodation for the inedible dishes.

We were very surprised we were the only ones dining but we were extremely well looked after and welcomed. This is a family run business and you can tell. The owners are very proud of the heritage and their cuisine. We let our server (Mrs Owner) choose our dishes and we loved every one of them. The restaurant is a large space which is tiled and glass, so could get noisy if the room was full of people but somehow I don't think that will be too much of an issue. We went with Masala soda, Bhuna wings, Samosa, chaat, spicy mutton burger, and paneer burger. Masala soda, bhuna wings and Samosa chaat were excellent. We were a little disappointed with the mutton burger given the hype it carried. It had a strong mutton smell and flavor, look over it and you might enjoy. However, when we came back so excited for more it was a weird experience here. We came at 5pm especially to try the banana Bajji listed as an option between 5pm-7pm only to be told it's not available. Then tried to order the Kara Kuzhambu with the lentil dumplings and told lentil dumplings not available anymore only okra/ eggplant option for this. The restaurant vibe felt really odd in general. We kind of felt like they weren't sure if they wanted to be open right now or something. The tables were not clean from lunch and they didn't get back to us when we asked questions. We decided to leave and come back another time given the great first experience. The next day, we decided to try again at lunch when the restaurant seems to do most of the business and I called to double check they have the Kara Kuzhambu with eggplant/ okra options just in case and two people seemed to have no idea what I am talking about. I spelled it, explained it's on the menu and it's a tamarind based curry- nothing. The dish I tried here before was very good and I really appreciate that their menu is marked for allergies and different diets. It seems to be very popular among Indian people and a fun cultural experience at weekend brunch/ lunch. However, the service felt really weird and unwelcoming this time and with the dishes listed on the menu but not being available it was a let down. The waiter told us the banana bajji and the lentil dumplings were discontinued completely so it was a bummer they are still listed on the menu. This confusing and unwelcoming exprience led to a big rating difference from me even though I really liked the food I tried in my first visit as well as the atmosphere. Still happy for that super fun first memory here though! My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!
