The food was fair, but the sauce on my spaghetti & meatballs was very different from any I have had. The staff was friendly enough. They have closed now. I guess I understand why. There was an event going on next door and reminded me of a rehabilitation facility years ago. Not a good feeling from this place. This was our first visit here; my wife ordered the eggplant parmigiana and I opted for the chicken parmigiana. Both meals came with spaghetti, a house salad which was mostly iceberg lettuce and a garlic knot. Portion sizes were a little underwhelming but adequate for the price. The interior of the restaurant is fine, but nothing fancy. An adequate number of tables and booths are in the front of the restaurant. A back room had some entertainment going on. Apparently you can make reservations and pay a $5 cover charge if you want to be entertained. The main entree was good, but the sauce was bland and needed salt. Of course we sprinkled a healthy dose of Parmesan cheese on our pasta. Halfway through our meal, a huge problem was noticed... THERE WAS A LOT OF MOLD IN THE PARMESAN SHAKER. I'm uploading a picture of what we found. This was like the old story of "What's worse than finding a worm in your apple? Half a worm!" Unfortunately we had consumed half our meal along with whatever mold had made it out of the shaker. Our server was very sweet, apologized and said that she would talk to management. Our bill came and I paid (including a credit card surcharge, sigh). Our server did offer to buy us a desert, but we declined. Now, the shocking part... The owner/manager came by as we were getting ready to leave and asked how the meal was. My wife let her know about the moldy Parmesan cheese. The manager's response was along the lines of "Noted. She told me about it and I instructed her to dump it out and clean the container well. THIS ONLY HAPPENS RARELY, ONLY EVERY SIX MONTHS OR SO." No apology, no "what can I do to make it right?", and an uncaring attitude. I really like to support small business and local establishments. Unfortunately, Little Italy is permanently off of our list. read more

This little Italian went to Little Italy to pick up a pizza. I ordered the combo (Theresa's Deluxe) which had a mix of veggies (onions, tomatoes, banana peppers, green peppers, and mushrooms) and meats (pepperoni and sausage). The pizza overall was pretty good. While I enjoyed the fairly thin crust and the flavorful meats, the onions and mushrooms didn't quite cook all the way through and the tomatoes didn't seem to fit. But I felt satisfied that I walked away with a decent pizza. read more

I've gotten takeout a couple times from Little Italy. The space is pretty basic. Clean and comfortable but lacking much ambiance. This is an old school Italian-American type place. The pizza was good. The crust had good flavor but was relatively thick. I prefer a thin crust - my personal preference. The sauce was flavorful and the pizzas had a good amount of toppings. The pasta dishes were old school Italian-American. The portions were generous and sauces tasted very good. I liked the carbonara but it was more a variation of fettuccine Alfredo than a true carbonara. Although, very few places do a true carbonara. Again the taste was very good even though it may not have been "authentic ". Little Italy is a good choice for old school Italian American food and is conveniently located in Tellico Village. read more

We enjoy having this restaurant so close to! The other evening we went for dinner. It's a BYOB. We brought our wine. Enjoyed an eggplant parmigiana while hubby had veal parmigiana. It came with garlic knots, side salad and a side of spaghetti. It was delicious. We are also a fan of their gourmet white pie with garlic ricotta and mozzarella. Great Breakfast. Some Guys from WindRiver got together and went there for breakfast. They took the reservation and set up a table ahead of time. Very accommodating. My husband and I had breakfast there and thoroughly enjoyed their omelet and eggs Benedict! Owners are lovely people. read more

It's ok. Not authentic Italian. I base authenticity on how they prepare alfredo. The original had only 4 ingredients, pasta, pasta water, butter and cheese. No cream. The food here was typical Americanized Italian fare. The service is pretty good. They had live entertainment which reminded me of the "Culps," from SNL. Not a fan. read more

We ordered chicken parmesan and lasagna . The chicken was dry with little taste. The sauce was lousy . The lasagna was the worst we've ever had. It had one layer of pasta on the bottom then a little meat and cheese then just one more layer of pasta . On top of that was a ton of rubbery mozzarella. The sauce was thin and had a strange taste. I've never seen lasagna that was an inch thick ! Definitely not worth the $15 ! Someone needs to learn how to cook Italian food ! read more

Do NOT use their delivery option. Called at 5:30 tonight, ordered dinner, paid for it, and prepaid a generous tip. Was told 45 minutes, as the current wait for a pizza was 35 minutes plus a 10 minute drive to our home. 2 hours and two phone calls later - still no food. The manager was not very pleasant. Said they had lots of pizza orders, ran out of pizza dough, and then delivery driver had taken our order along with three others and decided to deliver all those first. They never called us to let us know there was an issue, just kept saying it was on the way. Never going there again. read more

Not a fan! My husband ordered some kind of seafood treasure and seafood was so chewy and extremely fishy and there wasn't any sauce to accompany the noodles and seafood! Garlic knots were tasteless! My chicken picatta was just mediocre at best! We won't be back! Would NOT RECOMMEND! read more

The pizza is NY Style; really...you can fold the slice and eat it in your hand. Sauce and toppings are wonderful. The ice cream parlor next door is a fav; really good ice cream, lots of flavors and everything made with care and lots of whipped cream. I had an disappointing, offensive experience at Little Italy today. There was group of seven. Six got their food, I didn't. 15 minutes later my Calzone finally arrived. It was barely warm in the middle. I was sitting on the side at the end of the table, and the server put down take away containers beside me on the other side from the end of the table. She stood at the end and proceeded to reach across me, almost hitting my face, to get the containers. I jerked back, and when I looked up at her she was standing there looking all pissed off as if I had done something wrong. I said that I was just waiting for her to finish. She rolled her eyes and stomped off, loudly saying "well Jesus Christ". Several of us heard her. A few minutes later I was finally able to flag down the woman owner. I told her my food wasn't even warm, and she said "well it's cooked at 500 degrees so I don't know how it could be cold". I guess she didn't realize it has to be cooked long enough, even at 500 degrees, for the middle to be hot. I had already put most of it into a carry out box. She asked if I wanted it heated. Uhh, noooooooo. I then told her about the server, and she seemed a little more concerned about that. Now, I wouldn't be writing this if I had gotten an "I'm sorry". I didn't. I was presented my bill, which I paid, and that was it. For a small business depending on good word of mouth and repeat business, I find the behavior of the owner inexplicable. All it would have taken is an apology. So far as the server, a lot of people would find what she said, as well as her attitude, extremely offensive. Of course a lot of restaurants would have comped my meal considering everyone else at my table was almost if not completely done by the time I got my food. That wasn't offered either. read more

Ordered a large pizza and it was fresh and hot. The dining experience was satisfying. They make sure you are taken care of. I have recommended this place to some of my friends that travel and have enjoyed eating there. They also have a delivery service which is nice when I want to eat at home. Great place. Ordered a pizza online for pick up at 5:35pm. Was told online it would be ready at 6:15pm. When I arrived at 6:15, I was told it would be out in a minute. After waiting another half hour inside the restaurant, at 6:45 the pizza finally came out of the kitchen. Since it only takes 10 to 15 minutes to make a pizza, this means they didn't start to make the pizza until 15 minutes after I arrived. To make matters worse, after getting the pizza home and opening the box, my wife and I could only laugh. This $26 "large" pizza only covered about 2/3 of the cardboard it was sitting on. Like a 3 year old was trying to make a pizza. Some slices had no pepperoni at all. If you can't make a decent pizza and have it ready in 30 min. or less you should not be selling pizza. Don't lie to people and expect them to wait over a hour for a crappy pizza. Never again. Dominoes is only 10 minutes away in Loudon. I can order and it will be ready by the time I get there. read more
