Jimmy's is a cute and simple sandwich shop. Yesterday we stopped in for the first time in quite a while, following a visit to Costco, which is just a block away. It's also very filling for the price. My food came out in ~5 minutes despite ordering during lunch hour. Within seconds of walking in, it becomes obvious how their service remains fast despite the influx of customers. Their work space runs like a well oiled machine; workers seamlessly perform their kitchen tasks while a manager oversees the entire show, swiftly covering any gaps such as an unmanned cash register or chip bags needing a restock. The interior is somewhat small, but still enjoyable for dining in. The restrooms are clean, the floors are spotless, and the windows let in plenty of sunlight. I also appreciate the basket of free candy at the front counter. It's not filled with crappy mints or tootsie rolls either -- I grabbed a mini Twix bar out of there. Simple yet delicious! I've heard really great things about Jimmy's but never had the chance to stop by. The owner was at the counter and helpfully explained that you can customize anything and suggested the turkey or gyro. I decided to go with the turkey and loved my sandwich! It came out warm (which was a nice surprise) and the turkey was delicious. This isn't average lunch meat, it's real roasted turkey with apples and pears. The oil and vinegar brings the whole sandwich together with a nice kick. As other reviews have said, the ingredients are super high quality and fresh. Will definitely be back! Parking: There is free garage parking behind the plaza. Make sure you read the signs so you go in through the right entrance. Those who work long hours may find it difficult to eat here regularly, as owner George closes up by 4 Monday thru Friday and has slashed Saturdays from the itinerary until the new year. The moment you have an available weekday, you owe it to yourself to pop in to this piquant jewel for a meal. The impressive menu of sandwiches, breakfast items, and salads is affordable, and everything I've sampled hit the bullseye. The BLT on white (or multi-grain toast as offered) is exquisite and loaded with thick, perfectly cooked bacon. The potato salad is a mayonnaise-based dream in a cup. The breakfast tacos are terrific, and the French toast rivals pricier renditions at ornate restaurants. The service is outstanding and efficient. I contemplated whether a delicatessen that slings salads and sandwiches merited a five-star review. I reflected on at least four years of visits, none of them disappointing or anything short of exceptional. The answer: an emphatic "yes." Little Jimmy's is all that and a bag of chips, which you can procure with a combo. The owner has endured the economic consequences of a global pandemic, the usual barriers locally-owned eateries can face, and at least a year of construction chaos. A large, "yes, we are open" sign was a necessity for many months as crews demolished and replaced the entire patio area the restaurant shares with the center's other tenants. About a year ago, my friend introduced me to Little Jimmy's. I was amazed, gave it 5 stars on Yelp (top notch food, top notch service), and started grabbing lunch here almost once a week for over a year!! There really isn't too much of an update here, but I just want to applaud Jimmy and his deli for being so good to me in the past year! I've introduced so many of my coworkers to this place and they all fall in love :) Their favorites are the gyro and the soups. Since I always order the same thing (pita or jalapendo bread, smoked turkey, no cheese, honey mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, croutons, pickles), I decided to check out the tortilla soup today that my coworker recommended. The Chicken Tortilla soup is just as awesome as the sandwiches! So warm and comforting in this cold, unfamiliar, forty-degree weather. I highly recommend everyone to try this soup.
