He took the time to walk us through the menu and gave thoughtful recommendations that made ordering easy. We tried the "Not So Fried" Chicken Sandwich, and the southern potato salad, it was incredible--super flavorful, fresh, and not too heavy. We also had the Farmhouse Ranch Salad with chicken, which was just as delicious--fresh, hearty, and really satisfying. Customer service like that really makes a difference. Definitely coming back! Located in the vibrant area of rice village, you can park in the parking garage next to Mendocino Farms free for two hours. We were greeted as we entered. Looking at the menu, they were out of the Peruvian Steak so I opted for the Chimichurri steak. My bf got the Chicken Parm. Checking us out, was the manager Vincent who had an amazing attitude. The place is bigger than I thought it would be and even has a designated kid area for them to draw in the chalkboard. Pretty cute and clean. Our food came out and we love the sauces in our designated sandwiches. The sesame roll felt unique. After we ate, Vincent even recommended for the chicken parm to substitute it with Ciabatta bread so it can soak up the marinara dip more. My friend and I had an early dinner here around 5:15 pm on Thursday. She had been there before but it was my first time. She parked in a nearby lot for $3 and I did the Rice Village complimentary 2 hr parking garage with an easy 2 minute walk to the restaurant. The drink station is self serve and I saw alot of cool homemade drinks like guava lemonade & pomegranate mint lemonade which I need to try next time. You choose your own seating and scan the QR code on the table to enter your receipt number. The sides slap harder than the Big bang. The addition of the cheese and sun dried tomatoes to the pesto pasta takes it over the top. It's a basic dish that is always good, but this is great. The dill pickle potato salad is something I never knew I needed in my life and now I'm pretty sure nothing will measure up (honorable mention to Bubba's jalapeno potato salad). I still love the vibe of the place and the freshness of the ingredients, but I was heartbroken to hear that sandwich meals will no longer come with a choice of a side but rather generic small chip bags. I asked whether it was possible to pay a bit of surcharge to substitute the chips for a side, but the staff informed me that it will just follow the individual side prices as indicated on the menu, meaning the same meal I used to get at around $15 will now be $20. I can't quite wrap my head around the drastic price increases yet, and I might not be the only one given the mostly empty space I arrived into during peak meal times on Saturday. The staff kindly accommodated our request to store a large cake for the majority of the dinner and brought it out when we asked. The service is not very good though, you need to scan the table and enter ur receipt number to let them know where you are sitting. I went with my friend and they brought us the completely wrong order and we look around, a table is staring at us. It was their food that was brought to us. We got lunch catering from them and the curried couscous was the best part! So delicious! I always come back just for the curried couscous. It was a huge hit at the office as well! We also got the quinoa crisps with the avocado salad that we ordered, which elevated the salad quite a bit!
