I'm not much of a taco person but I loved their mushroom taco. The mushrooms almost tasted buttery! They had three vegetarian options - mushroom, veggie, and rice & beans which I really appreciated. My bf got the duck, chicken, and carne asada tacos and he liked the duck one the best. I also really enjoyed their homemade bottled hot sauces (they have 4 different ones!). When we stopped by around 6pm on the weekend, they let us know we may have to wait up to 30 min. They took down our name and number and offered to call us when a table was ready. This was so nice as they don't have a waiting area and we were able to drive around for a bit. It ended up only being a 15 min wait. As the space is not big, the tables are a bit cramped so get ready to make new friends! As every chair in the place was filled, our server never came back to check on us or refill our waters. In addition to tacos, they also had frozen margaritas, dessert, burritos, and even lobster guacamole. Deco is nice too. Worth a visit if you're craving tacos. read more

My only regret at this place, not taking pictures. The food here is, AMAZING!!! The only downside could be a possible wait, even for takeout during the height of the summer. My husband and I first tried to order takeout from here months ago but were told 45 minutes which I was shocked at, we left. We stopped here on a Friday in early September after apple picking and sat outside. I read the reviews below and am not sure why ppl have such a problem ordering via a QR code. Didn't bother us a bit. An employee came out to talk to us, gave us real menus to read over, and told me she'd get our drink order started. I got a watermelon mint margarita, SO good. I ordered three tacos, my husband ordered a burrito. The simple beef and chicken tacos (hard shell) were off the charts good, the third I ordered (possibly a pork but I pictured it shredded and the pieces were too big) I didn't care for but my husband ate it. If you asked me a year or two ago what I felt about little lucharitos - it would be a different review. First off - the food taste was great. The only problem would be is the water they place on the bottom on the nachos. This is the second time I've gotten the nachos and they both times served it with water on the bottom. The chef is the only reason I gave this rating 2 stars. Without the chef it would be1 star. The service is poor. The server apologized for us waiting an hour to get our food. I felt like the apology was apart of his normal conversation he says to every table everyday all day. We told him what we wanted and on his repeat back to us he messed it up. We corrected him but after waiting an hour we got what he wanted to give us. What is the harm of writing a persons order down if it's too much to recall? The person next to us spilled her drink and she told the waiter and handed her paper towels and she cleaned her table and left a pile of napkins on the floor. Gross. We were served on paper plates. plastic cups, and plastic utensils in a plastic bag. We paid good money to get real plates and silverware. I doubt this company is recycling all these dish ware. I recommend if you come here to get order door dash and go home with it. I won't be dining here anymore. read more

Was really looking forward to eating here, love Mexican food. We ordered guac and chips to start. The guac was actually very good but the chips were just bland. I wanted fish tacos.... None of their fish options were fried except calamari. I got 3 tacos....a shrimp, lobster & mahi-mahi. Again, so bland, if it wasn't for the corn and pickled slaw there would be no taste at all. After passing by on my way home from work every day, it was finally time to stop in. Margarita was good. Not amazing but solid, and I thought $10 was fair. I got 3 tacos--veggie, mushroom, and carnitas. The veggie taco was bland and I wouldn't order it again. But the mushroom and carnitas tacos very much made up for that! They were excellent and hearty. This is an easy stop.. beginning of the North Fork in Aquebogue on Main Rd.. it is a cute little off shoot of Lucharitio's tex mex place of Greenport. Smaller place and menu but the basics are here. Semi loud, upbeat, close seated bar/quick bite eatery.. making this a fun stop off more than a dining experience.. Food a solid 3 stars. Boring burritos, mostly rice, no complimentary salsa and chips, but cold chips came along side the orders. They don't bring salsa for the side or burritos, you can ask and they will give you a very small tablespoon in a paper cup. So if spending $60 for a quick bite seems a bit too frugal. Variety of hot sauce on the tables. Good drinks including margaritas, tap beers and lime sodas etc. Quesadilla's were very good! Servers were friendly, responsive and in tune with the customers making it a good overall place to stop. read more

Lovely roadside discovery of a hidden gem. Taqueriaaaaaaa After visiting a local pet shop to snuggle some puppies we decided to stop by for some lunch. When you enter the decor is super cute and colorful. They have pictures of Mexican wrestles all over! I ordered the street corn as a starter. They take a whole new special spin on it which involves chips. Then the coconut shrimp and duck tacos. Amazing! The duck is locally raised and naturally sweet. My only experience with this restaurant has been ordering food for pick up. I've ordered food from both locations. Everything was absolutely delicious!! These orders saved me when I had guests over and didn't have time to cook. Ordering was easy and pleasant. The staff was very patient and helpful. I ordered, guacamole, tacos, burritos & empanadas! We ate here last night with our grandkids. The kids enjoyed the game room unfortunately the food and service was a disappointment. From apps to entrees the food was a not good. The quesadillas ( shrimp and veggie)were greasy and soggy. The chicken wings were over cooked. The macaroni and cheese tasted like it was microwaved. The children's cheeseburger that we ordered had no cheese and the bun was soaked in butter. That's not true. First of all this was a couple of years ago. Secondly, you absolutely fought for the money back, because chase refunded you despite the service and food being so bad. Lastly, take accountability for the service and food being poor because I know for a fact it was racially motivated, because we weren't Caucasian like any of the other customers that were greeted with a smile and better serviced. And also, thanks for the gift card refund, which implies that you DID fight for your money (which I have proof of,) but I lived nowhere around there, so that gift card that i have no way of getting, doesn't mean much. I came here today with a friend and had such a nice evening sitting outside with a Jalapeño margarita and a lucha punch - incredible! Our server, Deashawn, was the best! Nothing like finding, after a day of wine tasting, a fun Mexican restaurant on National Margarita Day that serves delicious margaritas. This small place, with a friendly bar staff, was packed. Nice pours of Sauza in all the margarita. Very gracious, accommodating staff served up killer tacos. The have a variety of four tortillas to hold the taco fillings. The scallop tacos were unreal. If you've been to Lucharito's in Greenport I'm sure you are a fan. This restaurant is just a shrunk down version of the best Mexican cuisine on the east end. I noticed many people also getting take-out which makes sense due to the good food & location. I wish scallops were in season all year but when they're not there is always the Al pastor tacos which are fantastic as well. Visited Memorial Day Weekend so it was bound to be busy, but though the service was super friendly it was lacking. There were a few hiccups along the way, but I left happy - which I think may be attributed partially to sitting outside in nice weather. My whole experience was just under two hours which is wayyy too long, considering it only took me a few minutes to inhale my tacos (which were mostly great.) It took so long for us to get our food, our waiter kindly comped us chips & salsa (although I caught that he accidentally left it on the bill - but quickly took it off). Those chips & salsa were indeed good, very homemade. When we finally did get our tacos, 2/3 were perfect! I was so excited to see coconut shrimp tacos - never have seen them anywhere else so I ordered for the unique factor and they were great - sweet, savory, fresh. The fish taco (mahi) was phenomenal, my husband thinks it ranks up with cali ones - and I was super happy to see it was grilled not fried. The one taco I really didn't care for was the pollo. I did ask for the tacos to be put on a specific shell which the waiter OKd, they didn't come out on it. No big deal, but another detail lost along the way. And another thing that kind of struck me funny - when ordered the waiter asked if we would like guac/sour cream with our tacos in which I said yes to, but it was never stated that we'd be charged for the or I wouldn't have gone for it. Just thought it was complimentary, so it'd be nice if that was clear (good thing it was a super minimal charge) They make their own luchador lager, + for that. Waters were never refilled. SO OVERALL, the food was good and I enjoyed my experience - but there were a lot more issues (albeit minor) over the meal that I don't experience normally at other restaurants. read more

I usually go to Lucharitos in Greenport and love it. So we decided Little Lucharitos would be the same and boy were we wrong. Very impersonal and pretentious. You find you own seat and have to place your order on your phone. You eat off plastic plates with plastic utensils at a picnic table. It wasn't busy and the drinks took 20 minutes to arrive and it was served by a waitress that just said the drink name and placed it on the table and walked away. No greeting, no smile. The food was a 5 out of 10 and it was served in a plastic take container. We spent $66 plus tip and will not go back. Very disappointing. read more
