Best drinks in the area- actual bartender creating drinks not pouring them if you know what I mean. Cute vibe its in a strip mall but once inside you wouldn't know. Music is NYC lounge-y or like shopping in H&M which could get annoying but it was late afternoon- Will be back!

The espresso martini options are top notch, the people behind the bar are very friendly and the hummus was a pleasant accompaniment

Coffee meets alcohol. My husband and I have the constant issue of I love my coffee and he loves a beer. Most of the time we end up at a bar and Im stuck with water or a diet soda. Perfusion Bar marries our two loves and offers - coffee, coffee with alcohol, beer, and cocktails. The bartender was very nice and checked back in with us. We brought a Sudoku puzzle with us and the staff let us be doing our puzzle and having our drinks. Such a fun concept & cool atmosphere.

The best of both worlds: caffeine and alcohol! This is a classy yet cozy coffee and cocktail bar. There are couches, high tops and bar seating. I visited for the remote work special which is a fantastic deal. I got a latte with homemade vanilla bean syrup which was flavorful and not overly sweet. I also tried a pesto flatbread which was a decent size and very tasty. The staff is very friendly and attentive. There is also free wifi and fun events during the evenings. I highly recommend visiting Perfusion!

A cute spot in newtown with definite cool factor. Our bartender, Nicole was amazing! Honestly a total rockstar- remembering our orders for paying the tabs (6 couples) and she even paired us up with our "person" without us interacting with them . Drinks were ridiculously good. We all varied our orders- But my favorite was with the Ube. I wish they had music tonight, but we will have to go back when they do. Charcuterie (not pictured) had a tasty variety of cheeses, sweet and salty and savory additions! $22 and well worth it. The hit also not pictured (eaten too fast) was the mushroom, truffle flatbread. $11 for a perfect sized, incredibly delicious snack. I wish the food menu had a few more snacky/appetizer like additions, but what we ordered was flavorful and just what we needed. I can't wait to return! Check out on instagram @date_night_craves

Fantastic spot in Newtown- coffee by day, cocktails by night. Very friendly bartenders, mixing up some very crafty drinks. There are at least six delicious variations to the espresso martini, and whatever else you might dream up. Very comfortable, live music on the weekends. Great way to start or finish a night out. Definitely worth a stop.

This is easily one of my favorite bar/cocktail lounges in the area. The ambience and vibe of this place is classy, clean, and fun. They have live music on Fridays and Saturdays and it's always amazing. The bartender here, Veronica, is the best entertainment they have haha. She is an amazing human and shall be protected at all costs. The cocktails here are as good and unique as some of the most famous cocktail bars in NYC AND they have a whole menu dedicated to espresso martinis. Go have some dinner next door at Nostranos and come here for a nightcap. You will not be disappointed.

The owners are so down to earth and know how to make a high quality drink! The first time I came here was when they were pretty new and it's been busy ever since. They had a little booklet menu of at least a dozen espresso martini variations with high quality liquor and specialty liqueurs from multiple countries. If you're not a drinker and want a coffee in the morning, to catch up on work or meet some friends, this is still a cute place. They serve espresso drinks all day.

Just stopped by this cute cafe (during day)/bar (at night) and got some coffee and hot cocoa. Really beautiful space and would be cool to go in evening for a drink after dinner. Staff was friendly and wishing them all the best. Check it out!

My wife and I were at a distillery in Roxbury. We live in Danbury. I was looking for a quality food…read morespot in between and newtown came to mind. So, knowing that Sugo existed, I immediately routed us to their location, as this is a place that's been on my list of places to try. Short view? Everything started great. But did not follow through. The service was awesome. Our waitress, and forgive me as I cannot remember her name, was amazing. When we arrived we observed her interactions with her child and it automatically endeared her to us. And, as a server she was absolutely top notch. We understand from conversations, that she often works the bar. Either way she is awesome and the bright spot of our experience. The ambiance of the place was beautiful. Super refined looking, albeit with uncomfortable chairs at the tables. But I'm not looking for "comfort" per se, I'm looking for beauty. And this spot hits the mark. The we began ordering. Off the cocktail menu, I ordered their version of a pina colada and it was tasty af but definitely weak. My wife ordered a dirty martini with bleu cheese olives that she felt was weak. After those, we each ordered French martinis, that were super lacking in all flavor save for vodka. So strong, a bonus, but not good. As an app, we ordered their calamari which I order everywhere we go. This one lived up to the standard. Nice, big, meaty pieces of squid. A good breading, and a decent (if not underwhelming) sauce. I ordered their version carbonara as a main, and it was likewise, underwhelming. It was over buttered and over creamed. Which, if one knows anything about a traditional carbonara, it involves neither butter nor cream. I get that this is a gastropub and as such they will take liberty with ingredients and traditions; however, if I can make a better one at home... what's the point? My wife ordered the seafood grill which included branzino and shrimp. The branzino was delicious (but slightly over), but the shrimp stopped everything. The shrimp was rotten. On the plate it smelled like an unclean barn. I will say, we had to bring this issue to the attention of our server, and she kindly and appropriately comped our latter two drinks as a result. This made us happy as the drinks comped over the price of the plate, however, the smell is one that stays with us. Even at the time of this writing. We finished up our meal. I took home most of my carbonara as I felt confident I could make it taste good at home, but that's not the point of dining out. If and when I spend this type of money on food, I expect it to be right. This experience was not right. And if it weren't for the server, this review would be a 2 star.

We had a delicious prix fixe VDay menu that was hands-down one of the best meals we've had in years. We are transplants from the city and felt like we were back in Brooklyn. The atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming, and the staff was attentive without ever being rushed. It gave us a great chance to really enjoy the space and the food. We started with the two-cheese crostini, which ended up being one of the highlights of the night. The bread was perfectly crisp, and the cheeses had just the right amount of richness without being heavy. I also tried their seasonal non-alcoholic Spiced Apple-Lini, and it was surprisingly delicious--refreshing, slightly sweet, and very "fall in a glass." For my entrée, I ordered the chicken Milanese, and I have to say it might be the best I've ever had. I'm usually very particular about chicken dishes, but the flavor and texture were spot-on. The breading was light and crispy, and the chicken itself wasn't dry at all. The plate came with a beautiful mix of seasonal vegetables--roasted squash, shaved fennel, cranberries, and arugula--topped with an apple cider vinaigrette that pulled everything together. It tasted fresh, balanced, and really thoughtful. We ended the meal with their cheesecake served with a house-made pistachio crème. The flavor was fantastic, especially the pistachio topping, which really made it unique. My only tiny note is that I personally prefer cheesecake a bit colder and denser rather than closer to room temperature, but that's purely personal preference and didn't take away from enjoying it. The owner also came by to chat with us, and he was incredibly friendly--clearly someone who cares about his guests and the quality of the experience. Between the great service, thoughtful menu, and inviting atmosphere, we're already looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes. Definitely a strong addition to the Danbury dining scene.
