Perfusion is small cocktail lounge in a strip mall. A friend came across it on a social media post on local bars/lounges decorated for the holidays. From my understanding, it is a Christmas "pop-up" called Miracle. Since we just showed up without reservations, we sat at the bar, which was totally fine with us. The bartenders were very nice and offered up some recommendations. It turned out, my friend had gone to a Miracle pop-up at another bar weeks before, but hadn't realized it. The space is cozy and was very nicely decorated. I ordered an espresso martini off of their regular menu and my friend ordered the Candy Cane Lane. We didn't order food since we had dinner plans after. Our bill was $37.00, plus the $6 we left for a tip. For two cocktails that were good, but not fantastic, that is a little steep in my opinion. If we each had a second cocktail, it would have been close to $100. It's a bar in Newtown, not the casino. Would I go back? I would, just not during the holidays, and maybe a special occasion. read more

Very nice spot with some very good cocktails. Apparently coffee too, but I don't drink that. They have some really cool teas as well, which are a nice break between booze. Honestly I like coming here strictly the drinks. But everytime I come the service isn't awesome. People are nice but there is 0 sense of urgency. You practically need to hunt them down to get service. I've been there with literally only 1 other couple in the whole place and it took forever for anyone to take our order. I personally don't like to have to ask because I find it rude but sometimes when I'm here i have to. And it's not because the workers are busy. I've watched them scream sing in the back and just fully ignore that we were waiting to order a drink. Christmas there is great because of the vibe. But you also will be there forever. One of the bartenders cares more about getting attention that I dread her taking my order. There's being friendly and then there's just being annoying. When the place is close to empty there's no reason to be screaming and cursing and talking about your own business loudly for everyone to hear and get involved in. But the drinks are great. They're so creative and different it's worth the visit. I like that they are starting to add even more snacks to their menu. It will entice me to stay longer. read more

LOVED this place. First of all, the space is cute and comfortable. The bartenders are all knowledgeable and helpful. I love asking for recommendations and all of them were excellent! The drinks are all delicious. Favorites were the autumn evening and wardrobe malfunction! They have something for everyone's taste though, I can't wait to try their unique espresso martinis. The best of both worlds: caffeine and alcohol! This is a classy yet cozy coffee and cocktail bar. There are couches, high tops and bar seating. I visited for the remote work special which is a fantastic deal. I got a latte with homemade vanilla bean syrup which was flavorful and not overly sweet. I also tried a pesto flatbread which was a decent size and very tasty. The staff is very friendly and attentive. There is also free wifi and fun events during the evenings. A cute spot in newtown with definite cool factor. Our bartender, Nicole was amazing! Honestly a total rockstar- remembering our orders for paying the tabs (6 couples) and she even paired us up with our "person" without us interacting with them . Drinks were ridiculously good. We all varied our orders- But my favorite was with the Ube. I wish they had music tonight, but we will have to go back when they do. Charcuterie (not pictured) had a tasty variety of cheeses, sweet and salty and savory additions! $22 and well worth it. The hit also not pictured (eaten too fast) was the mushroom, truffle flatbread. $11 for a perfect sized, incredibly delicious snack. Fantastic spot in Newtown- coffee by day, cocktails by night. Very friendly bartenders, mixing up some very crafty drinks. There are at least six delicious variations to the espresso martini, and whatever else you might dream up. Very comfortable, live music on the weekends. Great way to start or finish a night out. This place is clearly designed for toddlers--or perhaps adults who enjoy pretending they're playing with their kids kitchen set. The chairs and tables are so tiny I felt like I was hosting a tea party with stuffed animals. I half-expected the menu to come with crayons and a juice box. If you're over 4 feet tall, stay away. This is easily one of my favorite bar/cocktail lounges in the area. The ambience and vibe of this place is classy, clean, and fun. They have live music on Fridays and Saturdays and it's always amazing. The bartender here, Veronica, is the best entertainment they have haha. She is an amazing human and shall be protected at all costs. The cocktails here are as good and unique as some of the most famous cocktail bars in NYC AND they have a whole menu dedicated to espresso martinis. The owners are so down to earth and know how to make a high quality drink! The first time I came here was when they were pretty new and it's been busy ever since. They had a little booklet menu of at least a dozen espresso martini variations with high quality liquor and specialty liqueurs from multiple countries. Pretty good bar for cocktails in Newtown center. The cocktails were creative- I got the non regurts which had a yogurt base. While the cocktail was very good, it still had a very strong mezcal taste. I'm not a huge mezcal fan and wouldn't have gotten this but the waitress promised that the other ingredients in the drink would mask the smokey taste, it did not. I then went back to my go to cocktail and ordered a dirty martini. The waitress explained that they took their house marinated olives and muddled it in so you get an extra dirty martini and she was right on this one, I enjoyed very much. Overall, a very nice place to drink on a Saturday night especially because they have live music after 8p! read more

This cute little place is a VIBE!! Went to dinner in the plaza and came here for after dinner drinks. There was a cute duo acoustic band playing and the atmosphere is chic. The drinks were very good and the bartender Eli was very accommodating and creative when I chose to order something not listed on the menu. Perfusion Bar - Newtown Julie told me about a new cocktail bar in Newtown (near Nostrano's) and so we went there a few nights ago. I have to say, that this is the type of place that we want to support, since a place like this is rare in our area. Thier cocktail menu is segmented (world class cocktails, thier own creations, etc). They also have some food items and live music on selected nights. I stumbled upon a cocktail named Psycho Killer (from a NYC cocktail bar that my NYC based son knows of). It was the perfect thing to order from a place like this ...... really good (on the bitter side, but not too much). It was so good- I went home and googled the recipe and found that it is comprized of many high end ingredients that I would not be able to stock at home. The signature drink menu is unique and creative without being pretentious or unapproachable. Presentation is always beautiful which is an added perk that for the social media lovers.
