Booking is easy, and while downtown parking can be tricky (don't make my mistake and meter park between 4-6 p.m. on weekdays), it's always worth the trip. My nail health has never been better. The salon is always spotless, someone is constantly cleaning, I never feel rushed, I'm always offered water, and the hand massage is the perfect finishing touch. It was my first time at Little Luxuries Nails and I wanted to get a simple holiday design. I arrived early but it seemed busy so I had to wait about 10 minutes past my appointment time. My nail artist was Zoey and she did a FABULOUS job! She was very attentive! She cleaned up my nail nicely and worked with me to get the shade of green I wanted. I love that at the end she gave me a hand massage. The place overall can be a little loud since there's a lot of nail appointments all happening in the same room. I was looking for a quality, affordable nail salon in Minneapolis to stop at after work and was shocked by the overwhelmingly positive reviews for Little Luxuries. I visited their website and booked within a few minutes (very convenient that I didn't even have to call!) After work I arrived a bit too early, checked in, and waited in the lobby for a bit to choose colors. My nail tech, Kayang, walked me back to get my pedicure 30 minutes prior to my appointment time which was amazing and I love the results! This is definitely affordable luxury. I've never seen booth like pedicure seats and it felt very calm despite being busy. Highly recommend for anyone looking to treat themselves in the cities! We had a slight issue at checkout but the owner came out and gave me a credit for the inconvenience. When you first walk in the place is very clean and inviting! I love the design and the relaxing feeling you get. I got checked in quickly and had Zoey as my nail technician. She did a great job with my manicure and pedicure with gel for my upcoming wedding. Each service took about an hour each. I got the ombré which I've never done before and there were some hiccups but zoey still did a great job with my nails. Only reason I deducted was I had to wait a while to check out since their front desk person was away and I had to ask for someone to check me out. Overall good first experience but it's quite pricey and it's something I only do for special occasions. Definitely not feasible unless you're able to afford coming here every month for nails since their prices are high. As far as parking there are street and ramp parking nearby! read more

Just walking in you could tell that your experience will be luxurious. The space is beautiful and modern with a purple theme. The receptionist was very welcoming and accommodating to my walk in request, beautiful comfortable waiting area. Not the typical set up for your pedicure but so comfortable in the all white clean furniture space. The place smelled great and was relaxing. I love that the ladies were all wearing purple tunic and name tags. Christine worked magic on my toes she was so gentle, my toes got the best cuticle cleaning ever. I'm visiting from out of town and needed a polish change. My hotel recommended the salon. My experience from arrival to departure was perfect. I was greeted with warmth. The space is attractive, contemporary, roomy and very clean, My expert aesthetician, Julie was thorough, engaging and responsive. Her pacing was superb, not fast or slow. Just right. I interacted with a few employees, all of whom were pleasant . It was clear to me that the salon has great expertise not only in standard services, but also special occasion nail design services. I booked a full set of acrylic nails and polish on my toes, expecting to pay the $90+ advertised on the salon's website for a full set. To my shock, I ended up paying $150 just for my nails--plain red nails. Somehow, I was upcharged $60. Worse, the entire process took FOUR HOURS! The nail tech, while nice, clearly had no idea how to do acrylic nails. Every nail was a different length and shape, looking nothing like the reference photo I showed her. After sitting for hours, I was just ready to leave as I had other obligations. I've been getting my nails done for 15 years and have never experienced such poor service. Once I left, I noticed that my left hand wasn't even cured properly! The gel polish smudged all over my shirt and chest, with lint stuck to my nails. When I went back in, the manager argued with me, insisting that's just what happens with gel polish. This is completely untrue. I've been to beauty school--I know how gel is supposed to work. Properly applied gel does NOT smudge like that. I was scheduled to fix my nails the next morning but had to reschedule, and the earliest available appointment was five days later. When I went in to get them fixed, I was told they only had time to repair three nails. How does that even make sense? They ended up "fixing" 6 nails. Afterwards, the color didn't even match the rest of my nails! They told me, "gel polish colors change color over time." I've never heard that in my life. My toes are a different shade than my nails, and 7 of my nails are a different shade than the rest. I left feeling worse than when I arrived. Eight hours of work later, and I still hate my nails. This was for my birthday, and it was incredibly disappointing. I'm still shocked by the unexplained $60 upcharge for plain red nails. To top it off, they incentivize good reviews with a 10% discount if you leave a positive review. That explains why they have such high ratings, but my experience was truly awful. Never again. I absolutely love the ambiance and the techs are sweet but literally every time I come it's some bs when it comes to pricing WITH NO WARNING. Never have I been 100% satisfied but I'm newer to the area and patient so I'm willing to ride the learning curve and not nitpick everything. Not to mention that I myself am a professional that values quality work but paying the SAME PRICE for a POLISH CHANGE AND EXPRESS PEDI as I paid for a LUXURY GEL PEDI AND STRUCTURE GEL MANI IS UNACCEPTABLE. This led to me making the decision to look elsewhere for services. This didn't happen once but multiple times and I've been coming for at least 5 months. I was scheduled and paid for a $120 set of nails. I had an emergency the day off my appointment. I called the salon to reschedule and was told I'm not able to reschedule for this emergency and wasn't provided a refund or was able to reschedule. I would not recommend this salon as they scammed me out of $120 and I had a real emergency! You don't appreciate your clients or their circumstances. I would not recommended this place! I have been to a lot of nail shops in Minneapolis and unfortunately most are pretty bad but not this place. I finally found a nail shop that doesn't hurt my nails, gives me exactly what I asked for, offers many choices and just a joy to be there. This nail shop is bright and beautiful and makes you feel special. There is music playing the whole time, great chemistry amongst the staff and customers and they offer a ton of choices.
