NO PROBLEM to reschedule since I was given my next suggested preference BUT, when I got there at my rescheduled time, my stylist was caught off-guard when I arrived. Just had to work through the initial "icky" feeling of realizing that things hadn't been prepared for my first visit. At first, I was already writing up a review in my mind of how bad this was going to be, but as soon as my stylist came to terms with how quickly the morning had already flown by and that, yes indeed, I had been rescheduled, she jumped into the game and was ready to take action. She has a winsome and delightful personality. She was sincere in her apologies about the situation. There was another woman in the salon with her hair in foils and in the middle of a coloring process, so my stylist continually said that she works well fast. While I trusted that, I was letdown since I wanted my hair to receive the full time-allotted attention. I have long hair and said that I was looking to have 2-3 inches cut off. We agreed on it being cleaned up, but she didn't check visually with me on the actual amount being cut off before or after she started clipping away. Regardless, she did do a great job on the actual cut, but in the end, I would have liked the full 3 inches rather than 2 inches. She didn't ask what I thought when she was done, because she was in a rush. She offered $15 off my next cut and gave another genuine apology. I would have been much happier with my first impression of this salon if I had been rescheduled at a time where she wasn't stressed out. I'd much rather wait another week or two so that it feels thorough and leisurely rather than to be crammed in, and feel like an inconvenience. She's clearly got the right personality, ability, and talent...she just needs to create boundaries for her work so that any given day doesn't become THE hectic one as I experienced. I'd imagine I would otherwise have given her 5-stars.
