It's located in a group of older shops and restaurants including a Latin grocery store, a Colombian restaurant, and a chicken restaurant, among others. The place has a few tables inside and does a lot of takeout, too. We chose to eat inside. We got great service from the manager/cook (sorry name escapes me). And later even met "little Mike" (who's not little). Mike told us they'd only been open since October 31st. He's originally from Manhattan -- and their pizza is New York style. We began with an order of 6 well done lemon pepper chicken wings. It was a good starter. The wings were meaty. While we waited for our pizza, we got to taste their warm garlic rolls. Next we shared their lunch special: 2 cheese slices and a soda. This is a bargain at only $4.99. The pizza slices were huge. They had a nice "crunch" to the crust and a perfect ratio of cheese and flavorful sauce. If you're nearby, stop in for their lunch special. A nice little Mom & Pop pizzeria. They have a great lunch special of 2 slices of pizza with a can of soda for $4.99. You'd pay a little bit more if you wanted a topping. We ordered from Little Mike's off uber eats, one of the orders they were out of it. They called me to let me know and i went through to find something comparable in price. I wish I would remember the sweet lady that I spoke to over the phone because she deserves a lot of praise. I settled on a small calzone with extra toppings to come out to about the same price as my baked ravioli. She offered me higher priced items but I didn't feel comfortable doing that. Not only did she send a complimentary (delicious) garlic rolls but she also did a large calzone instead of small. AMAZING customer service, they have gained loyal customers after this visit. My son got the penne ala vodka and it's so good, we ended up sharing food because everything we got was so tasty. The pizza was so overcooked it was like cardboard, like one of those really cheap frozen pizzas, in texture. Brittle bread and leathery cheese. The Greek salad was romaine lettuce with a light garnish of feta, tomatoes and onions, and a bunch of thinly sliced pickle peppers and olives. So in short either a rip-off place, a poorly run kitchen, a poorly managed restaurant with zero quality control or a complete lack of interest in producing something of quality. I ordered the penne pasta with pink sauce and fried chicken (basically chicken parmigiana breast pieces) and my boyfriend got the linguine with Alfredo sauce and fried chicken. Man oh man some of the best pink sauce I've ever had, and the Alfredo really was out of this world. The portions are massive, the fried chicken pieces were huge and tender, everything is made fresh to order and the prices are reasonable for the portions and quality of food. Goodbye little Mike's. Thursday evening we called and placed an order for a large pepperoni pizza and six garlic knots, simple enough. We showed up on time only to find someone at the counter, clueless, who told us he could not find that order and because of that it was not ready. He was in fact the person we spoke to and placed the order with. He went back into the kitchen, only to return to say they never heard of the order that he took. We had the exact total and again had spoke to him. We were then told we could place the order at that time and sit and wait for 25 minutes for something that we had ordered more than 30 minutes ago. No explanation, no apology, no consideration whatsoever. No wonder there were no orders or anyone in the restaurant.. Fortunately for me, this was my last experience with little Mike's. Decided to try this new pizza place out since it's close to home. Ordered a cheese pizza, garlic knots and a chicken parmigiana panini. The garlic knots were super yummy as was the chicken parm panini. Sauce was good and chicken was nicely breaded and cooked. Bread also good but better once I toasted it the next day. Pizza was good but something about the sauce and cheese ratio seemed a little off. Still good but would have been better with more cheese and less sauce. I would definitely have again! read more
