Great service and food. However they are inconsistent with their pizza. We get sausage and mushroom giant pie, and always ask for a little extra sauce as it can be dry on the top near the crust. For a while it was good then 3 xs too dry. I explained several times we need the extra sauce ( of course we would pay for it) But no- it was still not enough.so last night we got our pizza with full extra sauce and it was sliding around. Too much sauce.we really like the pizza but may have to find a more consistent food read more

So good. My go-to local pizza place. It's always so good. Every once in a while it comes out a little soft for my taste, but I put it in the oven to crisp it up and it's great. The lasagna pizza is awesome, but so is a regular pepperoni. The employees are super friendly and my order always finished when they say it will be done. Just a heads up, there's no where to sit and eat there, it's take-out only. It gets a little packed and hectic in the parking lot some nights, but that's how you know it's good. read more

I ordered delivery through the Slice app. According to the app, Pete's is highly rated. We ordered a ham, onion, and pineapple (don't judge). Pete's could add 50-100 degrees to their ovens. The pizza could use a little more cooking and browning. It's good pizza, just not great. read more

Best Italian catering I've ever done. And I've catered Italian food for many years from several different places including Mimi in Hollywood. And this was the best! Everything we had was excellent the chicken Parmesan, the meatballs, the stuffed shells, the garlic rolls. It was all amazing. They only use the highest quality freshest ingredients. My guests were thrilled with the food and everybody took home a take-home plate. Don't let the small take out building fool you. This place is top-notch. Pete's a place uses a delivery service on their website called slice. It took 45 minutes to delivery pizza from Pete's a place to my house which is 1 mile away. I called Petes a place and spoke to the manager who was very nice but basically could not do anything about the delivery service that Petes a place uses on their webpage. Still waiting for my pizza not sure if it will be delivered. I will use uber eats from now on and I will also not order from a restaurant that advertises a delivery service that can't deliver literally ! read more

As promised, here is the updated review now that I've tried their pizza. I've actually been back a couple of times, so this update is seriously overdue and for that, I apologize. I'm not sure to whom I am apologizing, but it makes me sound so darned humble that I had to do it. Now, on with the review. Their pizza is good. I had the cheese pizza and the sausage pizza and both were good. Personally, I'm not a fan of plain cheese but I was in a hurry and I was hungry. The crust is crisp and crunchy, which a lot of people like for reasons I truly don't understand. It's like eating a cracker but whatever. If that's your preference, you'll probably rate them higher than I did. The guys at the window are awesome. They have always been friendly and patient if you don't know what you want. And they keep the place clean and looking good. All-in-all, a good experience. The next time my sister and I have a pizza night, I'm going to pick up a large pepperoni (her choice, not mine) and surprise her with it. I'm sure she'll be in heaven. Was driving down Davie Boulevard with my in Fort Lauderdale, FL when I noticed a really awesome looking sign for this pizza place it was a cartoon character of an Italian guy and the place was called Pete's A Place which I thought was a really good play on words. My wife and I got a 12 inch medium pie half pepperoni and half cheese and it was so freakin delicious I would put it on my list of best pizza I have ever had. I especially loved the customer service we got from the owner's son I forgot to get his name and he told us the story of the place how the logo was of his dad. He was a really nice guy who gave great customer service. So if you are ever on Davie boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, FL check out Pete's A Place for a great slice of pie for a great price. read more

I've ordered twice recently. The first was one of the best pies I've had in Fort Lauderdale, so I ordered again last week. Very disappointed. Ordered a large, crisp, with 3 toppings. It was large, but that's as close as it got. The toppings were extremely sparse. Entire bites with nothing but a little cheese. Debating whether to give them another try. Doubt that I will. One of my favorite local pizza joints! Called about 30 before closing and was greeted super nice by the worker, i had some questions about deals they had and he helped me out. Pete, a native of Brooklyn, opened the original Pete's-A-Place in Manhattan in 1979 at the age of 22. After a few years the family relocated to Fort Lauderdale and Pete kept the entrepreneurial spirit going. He opened Pete's-A-Place on Davie Blvd in August of 1989 and we've been cookin' ever since!

Our waitress was pleasant, attentive, and made us feel right at home, which always enhances the dining experience. Although we weren't extremely hungry, the menu had so many appealing options that we decided to sample a few items. We started with the Caribbean Tea shots, which were unique, refreshing, and surprisingly enjoyable. For drinks, we ordered a Malbec and a Peanut Butter Old Fashioned. Our first entrée was the Churrasco Frites, featuring marinated skirt steak topped with chimichurri and served with twister fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful, but those fries were the true star of the dish. Still wanting more, we ordered the Garlic Parmesan Twice Cooked Wings. They were nicely prepared and satisfying, though I would have enjoyed a stronger garlic flavor. Not quite finished, we moved on to the Oaxaca Burger, an 8 ounce burger stacked with onion rings, bacon jam, house BBQ sauce, and Oaxaca cheese. This was one of the best burgers I've ever had, and possibly the best. The bun was toasted yet soft, the burger was seasoned perfectly, and it was cooked to a juicy medium temperature. Every bite was packed with flavor. Overall, everything we ordered was excellent, and the service and atmosphere made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning.

The tables are sticky, the floors are sticky and even the sidewalk entrance in front has a path of grease and dirt that is looking very bad especially since all the other stores are clean in front. You guys nailed the food, it's really tasty but we won't be coming back. We spent almost $90 for lunch, we want to sit in a clean area. Do better.

I ordered the wings but didn't like it. The garlic rolls were great. My daughter ordered a steak and cheese sandwich which was made differently than what we are used too and that was also great.
