I do wish the soup was a little warmer but it was delicious. The Sicilian slice was HUGE and they cut it in 1/2 so it was very manageable and it was delicious. I took 1/2 of it home. I have ever taken a 1/2 of slice of pizza home knowing it will be perfect for another meal. My daughter had chicken parmigiana. It came with her choice of pasta and garlic rolls. The garlic rolls were perfect. They weren't greasy and they were real garlicky! Perfect! My husband had an individual pepperoni pizza that had 2 different types of pepperoni. My husband had the Scaloppina Valdostana special, a chicken dish layered with ham, topped with cheese, and a creamy mushroom Marsala sauce, which he loved. Everything tasted fresh, homemade and completely different from the typical restaurant meal. And then came dessert. The raspberry mille-feuille was honestly out of this world. Flaky pastry, cream, fresh raspberries. I'm still thinking about it. The restaurant is owned by a French family and has this wonderful French-Italian influence that comes through in the food. The wine list is fairly simple, and the red wine by the glass was served chilled, which I actually enjoyed, although it was a touch colder than I personally prefer. What really completed the experience was the hospitality. The chef came out to check on us multiple times, as did his lovely wife, and you could genuinely feel how much they care about the food and their guests. This is exactly the kind of place that proves you don't need white tablecloths, an enormous menu or a fancy dining room to have an extraordinary meal. Warm Crusty bread was fresh and served with butter. The salad was served with a homemade balsamic dressing, which was very tasty.
