What a great place with a Kitsch-Hawaiian vibe! Food is tremendous with ample portions. Great atmosphere good for brunch, dinner, lunch or whatever floats your boat. Beautiful indoor seating and comfortable outdoor seating. Do not recommend the outdoor seating for ADA folks. If you have ADA needs, park in the rear and enter on the right hand door as it is the recommended option. Servers and hostess were very attentive tag teaming and working together to care for patrons. Will absolutely be coming back to this one!

Really enjoyed this spot! The ambiance and decor are cool, vibrant, and still laid-back. The food was great, and the staff was super friendly. Definitely a place I'd come back to. Parking can be a bit tricky--you'll either need to find street parking or head to the back of the restaurant down a small alley.

Absolutely loved dining here. It was such a treat. My coworker picked this place out and I absolutely loved the cool vibe and overall atmospher. Service was great, and the food was amazing. One of the best dining experiences I had in Richmond, VA and would absolutely love to go back on my next trip through.

Walked in on a busy Saturday night. Had to wait for ~15 minutes before getting seated. The interior was hip. With the perfect music that everyone jams to, the vibe was great. Our server Kat was helpful. Food was good. Lamb cheesesteak was huge. It was good for two. Hawaiian chicken bowl was tasty. We enjoyed the banana split tropicale. With good food, service, vibe, giving this spot 5/5

Stopped in for a late lunch and enjoyed the tiki/aloha theme as well as the food and drink. The decor is tiki themed but with more floral/plant themes as well which is nice and not at all tacky. Service was good and our server was nice and attentive. Food: The flaming pu pu platter was yummy, especially liked the wings, the beef sticks and the crab Rangoon! The royal Siam salad was also delicious!!! I got the dressing that came with the other salad, the citrus vinaigrette and it was so good with the salad. The salad was huge too and great flavor! Drink: The bottled hurricane (made in house) was very good and strong.

Portions here are massive. Beware of ordering too much. Octopus Avocado Cocktail: This was my favorite dish. Octopus was good, and the blend of the ingredients and flavors was great. I loved the plantain chips. Poke Bowl: Poke bowl was average to below average. Flavor profile felt off - bowl was too saucy. The tuna tasted okay. Service was good. The restaurant's decorations are amazing. Both indoor and outdoor seating are both very cool. There was plenty of space for us during Saturday lunch.

Seated quickly and we got our regulars, a Filet O Fish for me and a lamb cheesesteak for hubby. Same ambiance with Halloween decorations added, and outside seating. We will return.

Very aesthetically cute tropical themed spot. I came at the recommendation of my Airbnb host. I got the Hawaiian nachos with pork as a meal, which had huuuuuuuge portions size that equated to three meals. They had Megan playing on the TV and cute Halloween decor. I ate inside but the outdoor patio looked sweet. Definitely would go back!

I came here for dinner on a Wednesday and I'm lucky we had reservations as it was packed. I ordered the crab spaghetti ($24) and it came out in about 20 minutes. I was astounded by the portion size, like there was easily 3 servings. Noodles were cooked well and the sauce was good. Due to the huge size it was a bit hard to get all the sauce onto the noodles so some of it was a bit dry and bland, but when you did get the sauce onto it, it was quite good. There was a fair amount of crab meat for the price. Overall the highlight of this place is the food portion size, some of the best bang for your buck you will find. Chose our go-to again, lamb cheesesteak for me and fish fillet sandwich for my wife, both accompanied by copious quantities of shoestring potatoes. Filled to max capacity, we have to go take a nap now!

Great vibes, great and friendly service from an eclectic team of professionals. We enjoyed the experience and great atmosphere and suggestions of menu items from the staff. The braised lamb shank tacos with all the fixins were excellent. My wife had the burger and fries and it was delicious as well. The egg roll appetizer was perfect. A little loud in the inside of the restaurant, however, happy conversation and nothing more than people winding down from a long work week. I would certainly suggest asking your server to recommend a dish to enjoy. Well done.

Taco salad and lamb steak and cheese sandwich with slaw.

This is a cute island themed place and is very family friendly. The food is fresh, delicious and the portion sizes are generous. Our waitress took very good care of us. Can't recommend it enough.

Another great visit to Little Nickel. Who would have known that we would encounter a robust crowd on a Saturday afternoon at 2:00PM? Little Nickel's reputation for great food and service apparently is well known! On a cold sunny day Manhattan Clam Chowder really hit the spot, delicious! There are several lamb dishes available. My wife chose the Lamb Burger with slaw. It was a generously sized flavorful burger on a fresh brioche bun. The slaw was luscious. I chose the Ahi Poke Bowl. It was a large deep bowl with plenty of marinated Ahi Tuna, rice, cucumber strips, and edamame. There was enough of everything to take home but it was so good, my self-control lost and I finished everything! What a great little place! I will be back!

    Do they take reservations?

    No 😞

    Is there brunch on Saturdays?

Brunch is only on Sundays, but they open at 11am on Saturdays for lunch. Many of the lunch items would make a great pseudo-brunch!

Is there a readable menu somewhere? The one on Facebook is a joke.

Yes! If you look in the photos on their Yelp page there are numerous pictures of the menu.

Does it have a separate area or meeting room? if so, how many people can fit in and is there a fee?

No. This place is tiny. Very little parking and only main dining room which probably has about 15 tables.

NOT ONCE did they try to help us, move us, offer to do ANYTHING. They literally stared at us not saying a word. We asked if we could have two tables, no. Have a stool to add, no. Wait for a larger table outside, no. Just absolutely the worst hospitality or lack there of I have ever had. This place has had issues with staff for years. Unfortunately it's now costing them consistent customers as we are not the only ones this has happened to. We ended up leaving and going to another Thai restaurant. If you want to be ignored and stared at with dead fish eyes this is the place for you.

The blonde hostess was welcoming and gave us a friendly greeting. She sat us outside and with good shade for my doggo. Andre, our server, was attentive to all our needs and exceeded expectations. I will say the frozen pina colada was super strong and I wish it had more of the coconut tropical taste. It was definitely a cool down drink though. My mom likes strong drinks so keep at it! We had the honey old bay wings to start which were absolutely a must try! Very crisp and tasty! I ordered the burger which was tender and tasty. My mom had the chicken wrap at first but she had to send it back as she did not want ranch on it. Seeing that made her stomach turn (not ya'll fault, she had food poisoning yesterday, doesn't eat dairy, and wasn't too hungry). We ordered a plate of wings again to satisfy her and it overall was a nice outing. Andre and the staff were very attentive and I would highly recommend anyone try this hidden gem. Extra kudos to Andre though. Bro is an absolute gentleman and please let him know he is a star server in my eyes. I have been coming for two years! Thanks again!
