    Crab Rangoon

We came for a little after work wind down and it was the hype!!! It was evening and right after happy hour so it was jumping. We were immediately seated and our drink order did not take long to come out. We had a smoked old fashion and an orange crush. The old fashioned was smoked perfectly and was smooth going down. The orange crush was the absolute best I've ever tasted!! Freshly squeezed orange juice takes this drink to a whole new level!!! The food was fresh, hot and yummy. They will definitely see me again!!

The service was good but it seemed like we may have gone on a busier night; therefore, there were only two servers so it took a while to get served/refills. When the server did stop by, he was very attentive and kind. The food was not what we expected. We found this place on social media as one of our favorite influencers in the area had recently shared a video review here. We ordered almost everything they ordered, but we were disappointed with the short ribs (on top of mashed potatoes) and the green curry. The crab rangoons, Brussels sprouts, and larb burger were the best things we had. Overall, if you are looking for more Thai based food, I would not recommend.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Short Pump (4.5). The food is consistently good, the bar selection is excellent (although no dark beers on draft, which is my husband's go-to) and good vibes. This time we ordered beers, pad see ew with beef, pad Thai with chicken, and fried tofu. I wish we has more because I was craving leftovers and there were some but I felt like it was the right things to let my child have them. Why must I be so selfless lol. Our app came out after the entrees, but not a big deal. Server was friendly.

First place I ate at for my virginia trip and it was a great choice. the food here was delicious, the service was quick and friendly, the ambiance was perfect. I got the drunken noodles at a level 3 spice. I tend to think that food is never spicy enough (go figure), but level 3 hit the spot. overall i would 100% come back here again.

This spot is a vibe! I love the ambiance here and I feel like I'm transported to some Asian country honestly. The service here was amazing. They do get pretty busy so reserve online before you head there. They also have a great happy hour from 3-6:30! Let's talk food! Their drinks are superior. Aesthetic, delicious and super strong. I loved the effort they put into presentation cause I love a cute drink! The food, we ordered the crab Rangoon for the appetizer. The Rangoon were filled with straight cream cheese with little to no crab. So that was disappointing and a waste of $14. I got their pad sew ew, it wasn't my favorite and I've definitely had better at hole in the wall Thai restaurants. My partner got the beef bulgogi bowl. He described that as "okay." The portions were decent. I'd be willing to try other dishes cause I've heard such great things.

A little girls dinner on a school night with with two of my sidekicks for an evening @mpmtikibar. The space is so inviting and the staff is amazing! We decided to give their Monday $10 burger special (Larb Burger 4/5 and Tiki Burger 3.4/5) served with piping hot fries (5/5) a try but we also found some pretty refreshingly delicious drinks (shout out to the bartender, lol...the pain killer and mango mojito both 5/5), Crab Rangoon were huge with plenty of filling (4.1/5) and the Korean sauced wings (4.6/5) and Honey BBQ (4.1/5)crispy but still juicy and massive wings! If in SP give them a try! Gotta make it back for HH!

We loved this place and don't know why it took us so long to make it up here. Atmosphere and food are top tier. Our service at 3pm was great! We will be back!

Food is A tier in here, crab rangoons are the best I've ever had and usually I get the wings here and on occasion some drunken noodles. It's a good time, this may be the only place around here other than Mona's lounge that has a DJ on the weekend.

I got a reservation for Friday night at 7:30 for my wife and me, which was great. To our surprise, they had a cool two-seater raised booth, which gave it the appearance of a step up from a standard table, even if it wasn't . For whatever the reason, I just wasn't in the mood for any of the dishes they had to offer, so I ordered the buffalo wings. They were ok, and the fries were pretty basic. My wife had the caesar salad with grilled chicken and she said it was good. We order chicken fried rice "to go" for our son and his feedback was , it was ok. I pass this place often and wanted to try it out because it always seems like the place to be. perhaps, I'll get be it another shot because I must be missing something.

Did not live up. I have heard this place is really hit or miss, and it was a total miss for us. It was so poor we left for dinner elsewhere. The drinks were overall good. the ambience was okay, but felt dirty. The food was sooo lack luster. The fries were soggy and tasted like old oil. We didn't even finish the crab rangoons, which is saying something. They were expensive for what they were and how many you got. The calamari was a good portion but lacked in seasoning all together. Our server was nice, but the experience was not.

The parking lot is small, and there is a pothole in the alley near the parking lot entrance that will bottom out an SUV. Apparently, there is additional parking, but we didn't see it in the dark. The restaurant is cozy, Hawaiian-themed, and clean. We were seated within moments of entering the host's periphery, and received menus and ice water within minutes. I had the poke bowl last time, and I remember it being chilled and gently flavored. The avocado and spicy mayo did a lot of the heavy lifting. It was filling and very healthy. My partner enjoyed the Ipanema Sandwich last time we visited. This time around we snacked on the fried halloumi (fried cheese and mint yogurt dip) and Lumpia, taquito-type beef rolls, with sweet and sour dip. We absolutely demolished the coconut cream pie for dessert. The pie was so delicate and lovely that even my partner enjoyed it, a typical coconut detractor. I recommend Little Nickel to anyone looking to try something unique and ambitious that veers from the well-trodden culinary path. The staff here were courteous and helpful, the restaurant was clean, and the food was firing on all cylinders.

The grilled chicken was juicy, the toppings were fresh, and the pickled onions added the perfect tangy bite. Every bite was delicious. We also tried the steak and fries, and the steak was cooked perfectly. It was a generous portion, tender, and topped with a flavorful chimichurri-style sauce. The fries were crispy and the perfect side. To top it all off, I had one of their frozen drinks, and it was so refreshing--the perfect pairing with the meal. If you're looking for a casual spot with great food, generous portions, and a fun tropical atmosphere, this place is definitely worth checking out. I'll definitely be back.

Even though it wasn't busy, service definitely operated on "island time" slowness. Only one bartender was working the main bar and associated tables. He was doing his best, but it was a lot. It took 20 mins to receive a blended drink, which had to apparently be made at a different bar. Food was not great. The ahi tuna bowl was overcooked and the house-made shrimp and crab egg rolls tasted like a crab cake. Drinks were tasty and strong. The clientele was interesting--since we had to order at the bar, we got up from our table and ordered two feet away at the bar. While standing next to the bar, two women who were sitting at the bar stole our silverware off our table because they didn't have any. We called them out on it but the one said "you can get more." Major side-eye. Music genre was mostly country. So a mixed visit. Parking tip--go past the main entrance and make the next right down a gravel road past the inn that looks like a driveway. Follow it around and there is parking in the back on a grass lot.
