Yep, I'm still a member here. I've been doing better about showing up at least once a month to enjoy a tasting with a friend or two. I joined the cheese club for about a year and a half but I was the only member I ended up canceling because I could just buy the cheese when I wanted it Carruth Solana Beach has fun events throughout the week. I know they're set days and the calendar but I like to be excited surprised every time I go so I never know what I'm getting into. There is trivia night which is free. I don't officially play, but I quietly play. They have food vendors coming in. All local usually pizza or cheese or something fun. The staff has changed over a bit over the years. Everybody is so friendly and makes it feel like a neighborhood hang out spot other than the wine that warm feeling is my favorite part about coming here. Our server was amazing, while I do not really enjoy the more tannin mouthfeel wines and prefer the sweeter ones, my wife really enjoys the opposite of me. Our server was intent on finding something that I enjoyed, and turned me on to the wine slushy, which was refreshing, and perfect and scarily good! We also decided to eat dinner here, and we shared a Harvest Salad (Spring Mix, Apples, Dried Cranberries, Goat Cheese, Mixed Nuts, Julie's Balsamic Vinaigrette). and we split a pizza that was half Blanca (Ricotta, Mozzarella, Lemon Olive Oil, Fresh Herbs, Hot Honey, Truffle Oil), and half The Papa B (Tomato sauce, Mozzarella, Fontina, pepperoni, Jalapenos, Onions). We asked for it a little crispy, and parts of it were really sort of burnt, but 100% would order again, hold the ask for a "little crispy" next time lol. The ambiance here was nice, it is dog friendly so there were several dogs lounging around and hanging out, the tasting room has both a nice indoor bar area, with table seating all around, as well as a pretty decent sized outdoor area that has shade cover and lots of tables. They had live music outside, and it was great that it added to the ambiance, without being overpowering and not allowing for conversation. Great little place will happily revisit!

Owners, Kim & George, are very friendly and offer up a huge selection of white and red wines. Parking can be a challenge. If there are no spaces open at the top of the hill, you'll have to park along the side of a steep driveway. The one plus is that they do have a golf cart that will run people up and down the hill, but I don't know if that's always available. The tasting room is average size, but there is a spiral staircase that leads to a large upstairs patio (uncovered) with incredible views. You can certainly enjoy a glass or bottle up there and take in the amazing views...all the way to the ocean! WINES: The Beach House property is 4 acres total, with 2 acres planted with grapes. On our last visit, the tasting menu listed 14 wines (whites, rosé, and reds), and we even tried a couple that weren't on the menu. The wines are well made, and some that we've purchased in the past have laid down well in our cellar. I always state, individuals' palates can be very different than mine, but I'm pretty sure there will be a wine you'll enjoy. I recommend you visit and check them out for yourselves. I think you'll enjoy it. NOTE: They're only open on Saturdays/Sundays.

Don't worry about limited parking at the top, one of the owners (the very kind husband!) will happily and safely drive you up and down the hill in a golf cart. Yesterday I was driving southbound from Orange County and decided now would be the time to stop in for a member glass. We got here about 15 minutes before last call. Last call is 30 minutes before closing time. There were some people over at the Brewery. Nobody was at the Winery. I got my glass and have a seat there's tons of comfortable leather couch seating. There are high tops and low top tables and a huge outdoor space. This seems like such an amazing place to hang out with a group of friends This was a quick stop in.
