I love the Little Pub! This review is only of the hot lobster roll. It was the special for $29. It wasn't good. The tiniest claw ever but the rest of the meat was like lobster bits. It had the texture of crawfish.

The Little Pub My siblings and I are looking for a gathering place suitable for a birthday celebration for one of our sisters in January 2025. While browsing online I saw a listing for a beachfront hotel in Connecticut that was known to our family before new owners took it over a few years ago. The Surfside Hotel took what had been Marnick's Motel and upgraded it in the past few years. Attached to the Surfside is The Little Pub. My hope was that the Pub might serve us well as we selected a venue for our gathering. I spent the night earlier this month at Surfside and had dinner at the Pub. Service was excellent, the bar was well-stocked, and the dining area had real charm - aided in part by a nice fire in the stone fireplace. Drinks were reasonably priced and promptly presented. I started with the New England clam chowder and found it piping hot and very tasty. I had the beef fajitas - more than I could finish but nicely seasoned and again, right-off-the-grill hot. My visit was a good one, and it seemed from the vibe the bar patrons love the Little Pub. I can understand their positive attitude. Things to keep in mind: brunch is served starting at 10 a.m. but only on Saturday and Sunday; otherwise, the pub opens at 11:30 a.m.; the bar may be open after 9 p.m. depending on the day.

Wanted a spot by the beach and my coworker suggested this restaurant. Totally enjoyed it with my co workers. Simple menu and easy drinks to order. Smelled the sea water and it's was nostalgic to me seeing I'm from the islands.

I go to this place at least once a week through takeout, and I've been to the restaurant a plethora of times. The food is always amazing, the service and location is incredible, and I've never had anything bad experience from them. Dare I say, the best place in Stratford!

We went over to Little Pub for the first time. The last time I was there it was Marnicks! They did a fantastic job renovating the restaurant. The main bar area is inviting and gives that wonderful beach view that I always went there for! The food was fantastic. My husband got the chicken sandwich and raved about it! I started with a massive (awesome) pretzel. It came with a massive bowl of cheese and honey mustard. I will always pick a big soft pretzel and honey mustard and I would pick this one again for sure. I rounded off the meal with the sticky chicken bites. My friends got "buck a shuck" oysters and were very happy with how fresh they were. The two frozen drinks were absolutely awesome. Frozen appletini was everything I didn't know I wanted. The night ended with pickle back shots. The debate may be out about pickle backs, but this spot was great.

Can't believe I've never Yelp'd this place, I've been here a lot. Such an affordable neat place overlooking the ocean and the Stratford seawall. I love everything about this place, the location, decor, seating I can go on forever. They have a patio with an outdoor bar for warm sunny days and comfortable seating inside as well. Service is always on point, place always has great specials as well. Went here again recently this past Monday for an early dinner. My wife and I got the Sticky Nuggets for an app, truly unique and delicious. Good size serving of boneless wings tossed in General Tso's, trust me it's amazing. For my entree I got the Habanero Jack Burger, cooked a perfect medium rare with pepper jack, jalapeños, smoked bacon and a habanero aioli which gives it a nice kick, good size as well. Fries are also the perfect side with this. My wife got the Chopped Cobb Salad which is her staple and go to selection. Love Little Pub in Stratford.

Service was a little slow. Felt like I could have had a couple more drinks, the lobster Mac I didn't read the menu thoroughly enough to see it had truffle oil in it. The amount of lobster was 10/10 though! More than I figured would be in there. The clam chowder was delicious

First time here was for lunch on a Sunday. Place was crazy packed since it was a nice day out. Gorgeous view and right on the water. For an appetizer we got the Buffalo cauliflower (gluten free) it definitely had quite the kick to it so just be aware and also slightly undercooked. But overall pretty good. For my main meal I wound up getting the cilantro lime chicken salad which I enjoyed. The chicken was very flavorful and tender and got a nice fresh half of avocado. I would definitely come back here and would like to try some of their other items on the menu. I would say there a good variety for just about anyone.

Staying at the hotel for the weekend and had dinner here a few hours ago and took my sandwich to go. Waitstaff was great, atmosphere was great, but I opened my box to heat up my leftovers and the bug in the photo fell out of my sandwich. I've worked in food and I understand mistakes happen but there is no reason for this to ever happen. Hoping to hear back with some kind of solution from the hotel or restaurant.

I've been wanting to try any of the Little Pub's for nearly 10 years, I think way longer than this location has been open, but for whatever reason it just never did. Finally had a reason to be in the area for dinner and made a point to come. No idea why this only has a 3-1/2 star rating. I'm not sure if it's quite a 5, but I want to help bump it up a bit. My only issue is it met and didn't exceed my expectations but they very high so it's not really their fault. Menu was on the larger side and had a lot of creativity which is always a huge plus to me and almost as important as execution. When I go out to eat I want something interesting and unique. Sure there was a lot of standard beach restaurant classics, but lots of things with a twist. Location couldn't be better. Adjacent to a tiny beach with lots of free parking. You wouldn't come here to swim but I could totally see someone coming to relax with a book and catching some rays during a staycation. Food was great and came out almost too quickly (less than 15 minutes, maybe closer to 10 at 5:30 on a nice summer Saturday). My wife got the Kick'n Chicken Sandwich, my daughter got the Sticky Nuggets, and I got the Three Hands burger with BBQ instead of Buffalo sauce. All was great, only negative is the fries could have used another 30 seconds in the fryer. We didn't have drinks, but $50 before tip for 3 people seemed pretty reasonable. Will absolutely come back and recommend this spot to others.

My dinner order was wrong but we were nearly done by the time she came by to check on us. Very apologetic, but she was overworked so we still left her a nice tip. The hostess oddly stayed with her back to customers- maybe she could have pitched in? As we were leaving the table next to us had menu questions and a different server told them she only just started and didn't know. After singing for over an hour, I asked three times for water. Instead of basic courtesy, I was told to go drink from a fountain in the back. I am 8 weeks pregnant. I wasn't asking for anything extravagant, just water. If you don't provide tap water, say so. Offer bottled water or explain your policy, don't shame customers for asking. It wasn't about the water. It's the attitude. No one should be made to feel like a burden for that. A business that relies on customers should know that kindness and respect cost nothing. I truly hope management addresses this, because no one deserves to be treated that way. That alone is frustrating, but during my time there, I also noticed the bartender repeatedly touching her hair while making drinks. I have a video of the incident that I captured on my meta glasses

It was delicious! This time, I reserved a table for four, including guests who were up to an adventurous evening. The place was hopping! A Friday evening fun atmosphere and a beautiful bar that reminded me of a Paris restaurant. We were seated at a great table with banquettes in a corner of the front dining room. Our waitperson was excellent- energetic, informed of the menu, friendly & interactive, I believe her name was Shamira. We received great recommendations for dishes on the menu accommodating certain preferences. Following Cocktails - from the usual order of Scotch, to the " Crimson" spicy, indeed. The "Wanderer" imbiber said she could sip them all night. I, being mostly just a wine drinker, ordered from the "unusual wines" - a delicious white wine from Languedoc named "Picpoul De Pinet, Feline Jourdan", which paired very well with both courses. Based on my enthusiasm we all shared a bottle with our Main Course! Total alignment. We shared Caesar salads, which were excellent. Everyone enjoyed their selection of a main course: Halibut with corn risotto, Shrimp & Grits with spicy red sauce (just right spicy), My dish was Mussels in ginger & lemongrass red Curry, paired with grilled bread for soaking up that sauce, Yum!; a Whole Red Snapper with Mole sauce for my husband - most adventurous diner of the evening! We stretched ourselves to order two desserts: Crème Brûlée and Goat Cheesecake! Sublime. On departing the Restaurant, we were thanked for dining by the Proprietor, Wesley. We had an inspiring conversation about Bridgeport's future. A memorable evening.

Drinks first: my slightly dirty martini was made exactly right. My friend went with cosmo and it was equally on point. Whoever is behind that bar has their act together. Then the food happened. We started with grilled bread with an EVOO, agave, and chile dip -- sounds simple, ate like a statement. The char on the bread, the heat and sweetness of that dip. Good sign of things to come. Main event: shrimp and grits. Guinea flint grits, spicy red sauce, sage, stock. I don't say this lightly -- this is one of the best things I've eaten in a long time. The grits were creamy and rich, the sauce had real depth and heat, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. The whole bowl just worked on every level. Dessert: goat cheesecake with pistachio dust and berry compote. Tangy, creamy, not too sweet, and that pistachio dust on top was a perfect finish. We cleared the plate.
