We sat at the bar, and I liked how spacious the place is. It has that industrial brewery vibe, a large dining room, and outdoor seating. It's also within walking distance of the arena, so this is a good spot to grab food and drinks and or meet with your group before a concert or event. The pizza is thin crust and has a similar style to New Haven pizza. The flavor was great, but I felt like the center wasn't crispy enough to hold the slice up. It made things a little messy because the middle would flop while eating it. We ordered three small pies so we could try a few different combinations. One was the Weekend Special, which was a red pie with garlic, fresh basil, buffalo mozzarella, pepperoni, meatball, shaved Parmesan, and oregano. The small was $27, which I thought was pretty pricey for the portion. The other two were build your own pie; one white pie with basil and ricotta, and one red pie with pepperoni, meatball, and green pepper. All three pizzas tasted great. My main issue was the texture of the center. I prefer my pizza crispy enough that I can actually pick up a slice without everything sliding or folding over. Service was friendly and attentive enough, although I thought it was a little odd that my bartender disappeared and someone else took over without any explanation. My man tried a few of the beers and enjoyed being able to sample different options, while I went with a margarita flight. Overall, I liked the atmosphere and the pizza was tasty, but I definitely felt the pizzas were overpriced for the size and what you get.

I believe the restaurant has been here for 20 years. The husband Pierre is originally from the L'Artibonite region in Haiti where my family is from. And our region is known for our delicious rice and fresh produce that is the heart of the country's cuisine. His wife Eve is not only stunning but she makes great drinks as well. I ordered the legim (vegetable stew) with diri kole (rice and beans) and banan peze (fried green plantains/ tostones). The portions were generous, but most importantly, the food was very good. Everything was so fresh, made to order and many of their ingredients come from the Bridgeport community garden. The legim contained the eggplant that a community member brought in just an hour before. And the fried okra that we sampled came from there as well. The familiar sound of kompa was music to my ears. Pierre even gave my husband some samples of tassot (fried turkey). If you're Haitian or familiar with Haitian cuisine, ask for dishes even if you don't see them on the menu, they can accommodate you. It was also heartwarming to see the non-Haitian regulars enjoying our food and culture. They make American dishes like pizza, but when you come to a Haitian restaurant, you come for authentic Haitian food and I believe they do that well. Haitian food is not fast food so prepare for that. We enjoyed the family vibe and were in chill mode. The hospitality alone would make me come back.

Visited this restaurant in Bridgeport, Connecticut prior to the Kat Williams' event. Our server, Gerber aka "G," provided excellent service. The lemon garlic wings were a flavorful start, and the blackened salmon, curry salmon, and oxtails were all outstanding. Happy hour brought delightful Long Island drinks. So anywho, I made my way over on the way home from an in-service training at work. Honestly, other than having to cross a gas station across the street from it, this was pretty straightforward to get to. Like the same reviewer I had learned about this place from, I too was at first confused upon arrival. In my case, it was because the right side had their lights on, making me wonder if it was two places with one being closed. Turns out, they're both part of the same location! So I went inside. Now, because I was kind of in a hurry, I had to do take-out, and thankfully, service obliged without complaint. It was easy to pick up a menu and make clear what I had wanted to order. This is something in which this place succeeded at where another Mexican restaurant just walking distance from my apartment back home was completely failed. That way, when I finally made my order, I knew what was getting. I went with the nachos chorizo, and they gave me all the works (without the tomatoes of course because I don't put tomatoes in my orders if I can help it). I also got the fruit punch soda in a glass bottle. I will say, if you get soda like this, make sure you have a bottle opener. I used my handheld blade kit that had a bottle opener as one of the tools and used that when I made it all the way home. The drink was good (definitely drink this cold if possible), and so were the nachos. Actually, the chorizo nachos would be perfect for those who prefer a little spice in their foods. These definitely had a decent kick to them, and the jalapeños only accentuated this. The chorizo is juicy, and the cheese is tasty. You can see some onion, avocado, and I think there might be refried bean in there too? Either way, this comes together quite well I must say. I would say Blue Agave is off to a pretty good start here. I'm gonna hold off on a 5 for now, but I'll gladly give it a 4.
