Sucre Table is known for their array of pastries but also have an amazing cup of coffee, croissants, and macarons. Also, you can order cakes and pies for any occasion. Brenda Villacorta brings a wealth of experience to her bakery, having trained under renowned chefs Jean George and pastry chef Dominique Anse. She previously served as Head Pastry Cook at Le Bernardin. Le Bernardin boasts three Michelin stars and ranks as one of the best dining experiences in the world. Sucre Table is not just for its delicious offerings but also for the passion and dedication that Brenda pours into her craft. Whether you're stopping by for a morning pastry or ordering a custom cake, I would make this a one stop shop for any dessert or pastry..

The inside is a decent size with tables, cute decor and lots of plants. When I first walked in, I was taken back by how beautiful the pastry display cases were!! I had the hardest time choosing which pastry to get because they all looked like works of art!! Super friendly staff, great service but now to get to the goods: the coffee and pasties. This is a true authentic French bakery, no doubt in my mind. The iced salted caramel latte is the best I have EVER had. I could taste every flavor and it blended with the coffee perfectly. The ham and cheese croissant was so flakey, the perfect ham ratio and just all around fantastic. The pastry I got had raspberry jam and white chocolate ganache (I don't remember the name of it) and it was seriously the best pastry I've ever had. Most pastries can be too sweet, but this was just right. The jam tasted fresh and homemade (probably is!) and the white chocolate ganache gave it just a touch of sweetness. It is a little pricey so be warned: $48 for two coffees and two pastries. Definitely worth a splurge!!

We've had the Healthy omelette, which is egg whites and a generous portion of vegetables. Excellent dish, but they trade out the Cuban toast for a whole wheat roll. Cuban bread is a must! In addition to a full breakfast and light lunch menu, CAO has an amazing selection of croqueticas, Cuban pastries and bakery. Lastly, get one of their amazing g espresso drinks. We've sampled cortados and cafe con leches, both done perfectly. They were huge and priced to match. Having been to France where they are a few euros, it feels inconceivable to pay $10 for a croissant but perhaps it's like getting 2. Yes, I would get it again but sticker makes it a treat opposed to a regular buy...sorry that's my one knock. Good lamination of the pastry dough with a cream filling made it both a great breakfast or snack treat to share. The pistachio crusted was wonderful. Guava cream even pleased a friend who tried our bounty. Service was pleasant but we didn't interact much since it was boxed and ready to go. Nice bakery with more goodies that we may need to try next time. Parking was easy and had a cool vibe. Can feel their passion. See hand in pic for size! Enjoy!

When I spoke with the person behind the counter she told me she could make up a few more for me but that it would be about ten minutes or so which I was okay with and glad that she was willing to do so. I told her I would visit the other shops in the plaza and be back. I waited the time and returned only to find out that she was told by someone, the owner or manager that she couldn't make anymore. So I wasted my time and spent unnecessary money on a drink elsewhere to only have that result. I know it wasn't her fault but I thought that was bad customer service. Probably more than a year later, I was down in that area again so I called ahead to see if they had any available. They did so I stopped in and got one. Now, I know Pistachios are expensive but, I do not believe what I got was worth $10.00. Even with my love of Pistachios, I thought that the top of the croissant was too covered with them to make it an enjoyable bite as it was over powered on the half that was covered. The croissant itself was a little over baked as well. I do not remember what flavor I got the first visit but the croissant was properly baked that time. I know there can be off days and maybe I visited on those days given the customer service during the first visit and the over baked goods on the 2nd but I won't rule them out, just won't go out of my way to return either.

In the middle of the market you'll find tables and chairs alongside grab-and-go options. The bakery display is impressive. The beautifully decorated pastries and a huge selection of desserts were amazing to look at. And the service at each station was welcoming and helpful. We ordered the California steak wrap, deviled crab, zucchini muffins, and the ooey gooey butter cake. The California steak wrap was okay. It leaned a little oily and I wish there were more vegetables to round it out. The deviled crab had a nice flavor, but there were small shell bits that threw me. The zucchini bread tasted good, but was quite sweet. Same with the ooey gooey butter cake, just very, very sugary. Not a bad visit but nothing really stood out this time. I'm open to giving them another shot, maybe for pizza or other pastries.

This new location is massive, but the food is still the same. I have several critiques, but the only things I'm going to mention are these: first, the pastry counter is way too high. No one can really see over it at the employee behind unfortunately, and patrons don't seem to understand how to get in line or order. There needs to be permanent markers set up so people can view from behind the counter areas and then order once they are called it has been a cluster the five times I've been into the shop. As well as the employees are visibly stressed because of the above Second, I don't think there was any reason to bring in a name-brand coffee shop. You are a huge Tampa brand that has been around for a very long time, and you could have sold your own coffee for a much cheaper price. kind of crushed the charm of a true cuban coffee experience. Lastly, there should be a one-ticket system. I enjoy buying something from every area of the store, but having to swipe my credit card three or four times is a buzzkill. There is no reason, in this day and age, that this should be a problem. You should be able to carry your ticket until you're ready to check out. This is one of my favorite places of all time an the new location is very nice, I'm sure it will just take some time to get everything figured out.

I stopped in for a quick breakfast and ordered The Yankee (pastrami, scrambled egg whites, and cheese on an English muffin), a side of breakfast potatoes, and one of their cream cheese brownies. The standout was easily the breakfast sandwich. The English muffin was one of the best I've ever had. Fresh, soft, and clearly made with care. It was also a bit larger than your typical English muffin, and honestly, the bread was so good that I found myself taking the pastrami out and eating it separately because I enjoyed the egg, cheese, and muffin combination that much. If you're someone who loves an English muffin breakfast sandwich, this is worth trying for the bread alone. The cream cheese brownie was also excellent. I would absolutely order that again. The only real letdown was the breakfast potatoes. They were just okay and could have been much crispier. They were already a little soggy even though I picked my food up as soon as it was ready and ate it immediately, so it wasn't a case of the food sitting around. Service was friendly, but I was surprised by how long the food took considering the restaurant wasn't particularly busy and there were plenty of open seats. Overall, I can definitely see why Wright's has been a Tampa staple for so long.
