Just ate here and will not be back. Atmosphere is ok. Waitress was good and attentive. Order sliced BBQ Tray. It came out as pulled BBQ. Dry and overcooked. Lexington style sauce out of a bootle was not Lexington style. I was hungry and didn't have time to wait for replacement. The only place to get Lexington BBQ is in Lexington, NC! read more

Have ate here many times. Last time found a fly in my food. Today, the food was just not good. We were the 2nd couple to go in after they opened. So we figured the food would be good and fresh. Wrong Order chopped barbecue with sauce. Ordered another chopped barbecue with sauce. First off, we got chunky barbecue no sauce These were the worst barbecue sandwiches I have ever ate Chunked barbecue, no sauce, bland no taste. $22 for two sandwiches that was thrown away. I don't know what has happened to this place. It used to be really good. The last two times has been awful. Will not go back. read more

I thought this place was ok. I am from Texas so my bbq standards are pretty high. I had the brisket sandwich. I was pleased to see they offered pickles and onions. That's the real deal. Since I was in the area, I dropped in here for lunch, and this was my first visit to this location. I really like the vast majority of the dishes Little Richard's offers, and I expected this spot to produce the same quality. This is a small, narrow place, very rustic in ambiance, located in a strip center just off of State Street (NC Hwy 601). The walls and ceiling are covered with ads, pictures of local sports teams, flags, jerseys, and more! The size is just a bit smaller than the Clemmons location, the seating areas in neither is built with comfort as an objective. They have classic rock (mostly late '60s and the '70s decade) playing softly in the background. I chose to go with the 3 meat combo, picking ribs as 1 item with an up charge of $3, bringing the total to $27 - the other meats were brisket and chopped BBQ. My sides were collards and pintos, and hush puppies are included. You get a lot of food with this choice - for me and my family this regularly provides 3 adult meals! This meal was excellent and as I said there was plenty - check the pictures! There were several large slices of tender,very flavorful brisket. In addition, there were 3 meaty ribs, also very tender, as well as a small tray of chopped pork BBQ. All the meat items were excellent. The collards are among my very favorites, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, a nice vinegar hook when dressed. The pintos were also great, topped with freshly chopped white onion. Completing the dish were nice, crusty hush puppies. If you like a variety of excellent smoked meats, you cannot top this for taste and value. Most of the time I go with the smoked sausage as a choice - the quality is top notch and always cooked well. My cousin lives in Boone and we live in Greensboro, so from time to time we will meet half way ish for a meal to make sure we see each other. Pretty much every time we do, we come to Little Richard's Barbecue. This casual BBQ and smokehouse restaurant always hits the spot. They have lots of BBQ type options as well as what they call me Mexi-que. It's a smaller place but never had to wait long for a table even when it's busy. The service is always pleasant and speedy. I always seem to get some variation of the Pitmasters Plates. Which includes a meat of your choice with two sides and hushpuppies or rolls. I often come hungry and take it a step further and do the smoked meat combo with two meat selections. The plate of food is huge. They are very generous with their portions and I always have leftovers to take home. The baby back ribs (pork dry rubbed, smoked and grilled) is always a must. You get three ribs in the combo. They are always juicy, meaty, and delicious. I tend to switch between the smoked chicken or the beef brisket as the other choice. This time I did the brisket which comes in a hickory sauce. It was tender and tasty. For my sides, I always get the Mac and cheese. They are cheesy and gooey and yum. I like that they serve it in a separate cup so it doesn't get mixed up in the other saucy things. The second side I have done multiple things, but today I wanted all the bad for you deliciousness and went in for onion rings. I got way more than I expected. They were nicely fried but not too much. One of my favorite things about Little Richard's is the Hushpuppies. I love me some Hushpuppies and not many places serve them. When you hear a meal with two sides comes with some pups you expect you will only get a few. But they load you up! It's like a whole other side order. They are crunchy and soft and great on their own or dipped in ketchup/ sauce. Speaking of sauce, I'm a big sauce girl and they have 8 LRB's signature sauces here you can enjoy with your food. They will give you a sample cup of each to try if you ask. My favorites are Lexington (traditional, thin, vinegar) and Carolina Gold (tangy and mustard). Both go great with everything I have had here. They have other locations as well but if you wanna stop in Yadkinville on your way to Boone or wherever you won't be disappointed in Little Richard's. Little Richard's is Yadkinville is simply amazing. We had great service from the time we stepped in to checking out. The food was fast, hot and delicious. I don't do the sauces but my wife said they were tasty. The wings were hot and smokey. Would definitely recommend them as well as the pork. We will be back soon. read more

I was in the mood for barbecue, and I yelped Little Richards and Yadkinville. Not sure what to say. It was OK not great. Some of the dishes were a really good most were not. service was very average. The vibe was nice. Portions were small for what you paid .the brisket did not have any kind of a bark on it or smoke ring so I suspect it was oven baked I would probably go back, but it's more of a roasted meat place instead of a barbecue place. read more

Omg my mouth has died and done gone to heaven!! This is awesome bbq. I had a salad with chopped bbq pulled pork. I could hardly find the lettuce -amazing . Piled high bbq. I every bite. I can't even imagine the dinner size. Our friend at Unifi sent us over, and I'm so glad he did. We would never have thought to stop. Place is small but flavor is huge here. Not impressed. Gave it another try after a poor experience a year ago. Hot chips were cold. Chopped bbq had no flavor. Tasted like it was oven cooked and sauce added. No smoked flavor at all. This is the best BBQ in NC. This BBQ is juicy, flavorful, and the best I have had in NC. The servers were polite and the tea was good. I will drive 25 minutes from my house for this BBQ and will cater for them for events. I highly recommend this Little Richard's BBQ. read more

Stopped for lunch , it was during COVID , so there were signs on the door , and masks were worn by all. Opened the door and we were greeted with a delicious aroma. We arrived well before noon and the place had a few tables occupied. Scanned the menu and decided on a Pork BBQ chopped sandwich ( it comes 3 ways) with coleslaw - the traditional one but opted for no Lexington dip. We also ordered a Beef Brisket ; it's shaved brisket and comes with plenty of grilled onions on a hoagie roll. Also we ordered a side of traditional coleslaw. Both sandwiches came out fast and hot. The pork was amazing, it was tender and very flavorful, with no chunks of fat. The brisket was shaved , tender, wonderful flavor with just the right amount of hickory sauce on it, also no chunks of fat in it. The decor of the restaurant is eclectic and no fancy tables. It is tucked away in a small strip mall. It is certainly worth a stop when traveling through Yadkinville. read more

called in on my way to work , when I opened it up the bbq san was so dry no sauce whatsoever I had cornfritters as my side COLD CORN FRITTERS. So I called back to the restaurant. They tell me they apologize and that I can come back one afternoon and pick it up. They would replace it so I do that and the lady tells me that you have to pick it up within a week and she can't do anything about it, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! read more

Well, hubby and I walked in 7/20 at 3:30 left at 3:45! This is a seat yourself place and we've been here many times!! There were 4 waitresses wiping tables, chatting with customers, standing around in the back, I was facing the kitchen, one waiter who was very busy with customers. There were Only 6 other customers in the restaurant!! Not One girl, as they all went by us several times, even made eye contact with either of us! We went so far as to have our paper towels and tea sweeteners on our table for ordering! Went home and had pizza!! I'd say a new manager is in order! Just be aware, you may be ignored! read more

Figured I'd share my recent experience here since the last time I went, I hated it. Husband decided Friday that he wanted to eat bbq. Since this is the only bbq joint in our area, this was our only option. We seated ourselves and was greeted immediately. I stayed away from the fries and mac n cheese, due to experience of not liking them the first time. I ordered the chopped plate with bbq slaw, hush puppies, and fried okra. Thankfully, it wasn't that bad. I've always thought their bbq was decent but never liked coming here because the sides suck and service usually isn't that great. My husband ordered the same as me, except he ordered his bbq Hickory as where I ordered mine Lexington. Both were pretty good. My son ordered a hot dog and fries. Pretty typical. Service wasn't too bad either this time around, except for the man (I'm guessing manager) that kept staring at our table. Thank God for a decent Little Richard's experience. It's about dang time. Each of the Little Richard's offers the same choices and the food at Yadkinville location like the others is consistently good. However, The Yadkinville location differs from the other locations in the service... Here it is consistently poor in the dining room and consistently bad in the drive through. I have ordered pickup at this location several times and in every case, without exception, there has been some small issue (today missing chili as ordered on one of my burgers). And very unlike each of the other Little Richard's locations, I never feel that my patronage is appreciated at the Yadkinville store... not exactly rudeness - but very close. But, I do keep going back because the food is good and there really aren't any other choices with 20 miles. read more
