My #8 was excellent. Veggies were cold and crisp and the meats were piled high. Bacon was crisp and not too much mayo. Perfect. However, the star of the show was the new hot Italian sub I got for my wife. The meats are chopped which makes it easy to get a good bite. The pepper relish took this sub to a new level. Added a little bit of pickle tartness and just the right amount of heat. My wife was amazed. She said, and I quote: "This is the best Italian sub I've ever eaten". Usually when I ask her how her food is at any eatery, she usually says "ok" or "it's good". Her praise of this new sub should not be taken lightly but should be revered as a rare event in the history of our world. RUN, do not walk to your nearest Jersey Mike's and give the new hot Italian sub a try. I took a bite. It's not hype folks. It's really good.

Order was crossed with another one. Asked it to be remade. After waiting extra time and driving home, checked the reorder and again- incorrect. I brought it back a second time and asked they be remade correctly. First- I was offered a refund. I said no- make them the way they are ordered. Waited while they are being redone. I understand a mistake but a second one on top of the first is unfortunate. This is the second time in two weeks that our order was incorrect, and the first time I am complaining about it. These folks need to be paying attention to the orders they are making. Store is clean- no complaints on the store- just these kids need to be more attentive to what they are doing. Finally- the third time was the charm. Gotta give it 4 stars tonight- 3 for the experience - but 5 for the sandwiches. When they are right they are delicious!

With tip I think the total was around $17. That was a touch more expensive than I was expecting especially with just a bag of chips on the side. The sandwich was good. Between the blue cheese and the ranch it was really creamy and most of the toppings slide off with the second bite. I don't mind a mess though! The ciabatta bread was the perfect compliment for the sandwich. It was a cute spot and I especially liked the creative sandwich names. I'd go back and try the chicken ceasar wrap next time.

I don't know that it is without a doubt the best version I've had, but it is definitely up there. The grilled rye was nice and crisp, and I appreciated that they used both mustard and Russian dressing. That, plus the meat, kraut, and melty cheese, made for a very satisfying bite. I always order the fluffy on GF with no cheese, and he always orders the Italian on GF with no cheese. There is cross contamination, so if you are celiac, you can ask them to change gloves, use a clean knife, and keep your sandwich away from the others. We have almost never received the correct order without cheese the first time, but they don't make a fuss when asked to remake the sandwiches, and they are very apologetic. These sandwiches are generous with the meat and other fillings, and the pizza-crust-as-bread works so well. We also get their delicious potato salad with our sandwiches. The seating area is not huge, maybe ten tables, but we've never had to wait for one, and we often take our order to go. The restaurant is clean, and parking is fairly convenient. Even with the issue of having to remake sandwiches, I still rate Blake's a solid five star. It's consistently delicious, and I like supporting a small business in my home community.
