Shakshuka Toast, Egg & Cheese Sandwich

Little Roy Coffee is such a cute coffee shop. There's a few tables inside and I love stopping by for a quick meal or to study for a few hours. The shakshuka toast is my favorite on the menu. It's freshly prepared with eggs, cherry tomatoes, and topped with arugula. The bread was toasted to perfection and paired well with the Drip coffee. The latte art is absolutely stunning! The cappuccino had an adorable heart on it. This was one of the best cappuccinos I've had.

I was in the area to participate in a Yelp Elite Event and sadly the establishment was closed. What to do on a 3H day: hot, humid and hellish? Grab an iced coffee! Luckily Little Roy was next to Elite Event thus a little gem was waiting for me. Little Roy is perfect for any stop in your day: pre or post work, meeting friends, working from home or you can rename that working from Little Roy's! Lol! The menu is short and sweet which I sometimes prefer when it come to coffee selection. They offer usual coffee selection: lattes, cappuccinos, cortado, etc. For food there are tasty options from yogurt with granola to avocado toast and pastries. The employee was very sweet and prepared a delicious iced latte with oat milk.. hit the spot on a 3H day. The cafe is quaint, small and cozy.. I prefer window seating, which was comfy, to look out and people watch. Although I do not live near Nostrand Avenue, thus the trek is s bit long, I can highly recommend this to the locals.

Loved coming here, it was so serene and calm! The avocado toast was herb flavor forward and I really enjoyed it with my matcha latte! I later had the iced chai and it became my favorite drink there, haha! It was a pleasant surprise to see the Free Palestine poster, I just don't see that a lot since I live in Arizona. Would come here again for sure!

This place is right next to my new Pilates studio so after an early morning class, I needed something to drink while I had work/meetings. I have been to lips cafe before across the street so I wanted to try something new. This place is relatively small and light with seating for a pair of friends or a small group. They also had wifi which helped me to do my tasks before I had to boogie on home. The person there was generally nice and did my order efficiently. Though the space had a couple of people, it was quite on the quiet side which is fun especially on Nostrand Avenue. I only ordered a chai latte with oat milk because I wasn't in the mood for a toast, a granola bowl or a sandwich at the moment and I didn't want to be too caffeinated which looking back it is a shame because they are very coffee bean orientated. The chai latte was fine. I can come back here in the future and would try a pastry and a cappuccino.

Alter the corner from my house is little Roy, it's been there about 2 yrs now. This is the perfect spot for having your morning coffee with family or friends. There's indoor and outdoor seating (once it's warm) there's a community board, ppl in the neighborhood used the space as their office. My go to is a iced vanilla oat milk latte no matter the weather, my kid loves their hot chocolate and their ice teas. The best thing I love about little Roy's is that their beans are freshly roasted when walking through neighborhood you can smell it in the air.

I love Little Roy. Delicious coffee and espresso. Bomb pastries and consistently tasty avocado toast. They also have a great selection of teas. You can't go wrong! The space is open, full of light and extremely inviting. Great staff and service. Unpretentious and down to earth, which is sometimes hard to find in a coffee shop in Brooklyn. I always enjoy my time at Little Roy and highly recommend!

Cute spot that is a great addition to the neighborhood! The first thing I noticed, beyond the outdoor seating, was the interesting wall design. I inquired about it and was told that it was what was found under the wall paper and they decided to keep it. Very cool. The coffee is good and it's nice that they also have real food. I tried the goat cheese and fig toast. It was delicious! Though how can fig and goat cheese together be bad? But it's also covered in za'atar and a little olive oil. Yum. I also tried a cinnamon bun/sticky bun pastry. Really delicious.

Swung by here before work to grab a coffee and some beans before a week of work. Was a pleasant environment in the morning with peaceful jazz music playing and the smell of fresh coffee. I didn't spend a ton of time here but think it would be a great place to spend some time relaxing. Space wise there was small tables and would be good for small groups 2-3. The staff was polite and helpful and they have some outdoor space as well. I had the drip which was standard and flavorful. Bought a bag of beans which were not my favorite but not bad by any means. Lacked some complexities I expect from smaller roasters. Overall; chill place with decent coffee.

No indoor dining at this cafe due to covid but you can go order and pickup. One of my favorites in my neighborhood. Do check them out.

This is a small cafe with a great deal of character. Good things and places come in small packages and this Cafe is one of them. The music is very soothing and relaxing. I would recommend this cafe to anyone looking to get away from the normal hustle and bustle of New York. I would definitely come back to this Cafe. The coffee was so good I had to have another cup. The muffins are to die for and my egg sandwich with cheese was really good and fresh.

While I only had the chai latte (tasted very little of the traditional chai spices and more like coffee) it was enough to know a few things. One, clean the machine more often to reduce flavor profiles from bleeding from cup to cup. Two, be sure tip the very kind batista. This place is lovely and low key. Would come again for the coffee since it seemed to taste just like chai tea.

This is a great cafe in the flatbush Brooklyn area. It's a small space but not cramped. Here are my reasons for the score. 1. The hot chocolate is awesome. So rich. Gotta love it 2. I tried the bagel(cinnamon) egg and cheese which had a mild peppery flavor 3. Quick service One downside to cafe is space. May not be the best for large groups.

This is a really cute café that has gorgeous leather furniture, lighting fixtures, and cool plants everywhere, very modern looking. The music they play here is great too. I was a little disappointed to see that their food menu was quite limited, and by that time of day, there was really only one savory option that stood out to me, the Parmesan and leek pastry. I ordered this and had the barista heated up for me, as well as print out a receipt because this is how you access the Wi-Fi. I sat in the corner along the wall on a wooden bench and attempted to do work on one of the small metal tables. The tables are quite low, so this really isn't a great place to get a ton of work done in my opinion, as well as the fact that the Wi-Fi only works for 30 minutes and after that, you need to go back up and get another receipt for a code. I was also a little disappointed in the pastry itself, as it wasn't fully heated and was a little too greasy for me. I can't speak on the coffee here, but it did look like they provide high-quality options. Vibes and aesthetic are high but I can't say I'd come here again.

Their baked goods are the best--their buckwheat scone is mildly sweet and earthy. Their sandwiches can't be beat. I HATE BLT's. They are usually presented as triangles of toasted whole wheat bread with limp iceberg lettuce, barely a tomato and a sliver of bacon with too much mayo. Everything I do not want. But at Polly's...the humble BLT becomes an art form. They get the bread correct first of all--a delicious toasted ciabatta spread modestly with a gently garlicked mayo. Sharp, nutty micro greens and arugula instead of pointless iceberg, thick tomato slices, avocado and oh yes, bacon. That is a sandwich done right. With a focus on community and comfort, we provide a haven for locals and visitors alike to relax, recharge' As my curiosity leads me to explore new coffee places, the one common thread I see is the focus on community. The cafes, coffee bars and eateries who recognize the need to connect are the real entrepreneurs. Polly's Cafe patrons are sipping coffee drinks made with La Colombe and devouring Balthazar pastries. As I waited to order my cold brew, the conversations ran the gamut from school, work, summer travel plans, catching up. I know I sound like a broken record, but today it is so much more than just grabbing a cup of coffee. It is unwinding, savoring each sip and bite with a friend or partner and just enjoying the connection. Polly's Cafe reminds me of a cafe one would find in the Hudson Valley: small, quaint and offering high end food. The interior is cozy, a few tables and a backyard garden. The menu packs a small punch: hot/cold beverages, breakfast burritos, BLT, salads and so much more. I waited around 10 minutes to order a cold brew, the pastries (croissants: chocolate, everything, goat cheese and herb, ham and cheese, butter, sticky toffee banana bread, chocolate babka crumb cake, brownies)were sold out and only olive oil cake remained. ( I arrived @2pm) I made a mental note to revisit to pack a few goodies to go for a future BBG visit. The Espresso Shot 1 was unexpectedly sour like the kind of sour you expect from expired coffee. There are special notes including rhubarb, so maybe that was on us to order this shot, but we didn't expect a beef jerky-like aftertaste. My friend could not finish it, so I asked for a replacement shot--the Expresso Shot 2--and the staff were kind enough to offer it to us free of charge. This shot was also just as sour, with notes of passion fruit. There are no other espresso shot options, and both shots are $5-6 each. The Chai Latte tasted just like the concentrates I would get from supermarkets. When I finished my cup and peered at the bottom for any spice residue, I found the grainy texture you'd find in said supermarket concentrates. Service: 4/5 The people were incredibly friendly and welcoming. For a busy coffee shop, they were prompt in fulfilling any special request, such as an expresso shot replacement. Atmosphere: 2/5 This is a cute coffee shop with a warm interior! It has a modern and cozy aesthetic, and it was very pleasant to sit here for half an hour. We were fortunate to even have seating, though, because there was a line out the door and not enough tables for all patrons. The tables were low to the ground and close to other tables. I would recommend this place to people who need a quick shelter from the cold. I wouldn't recommend the drinks to anyone, and the line is not worth it.
