The Tin Cup is my favorite little neighborhood coffee shop!!! First off the coffee is the best of the best! The food is consistently delicious whether you're having eggs & toast or an omelette, every thing is fresh & delicious, sort of has a French flair. The ambience is so cute, cozy & welcoming. Dine or grab a seat outside, you will not be disappointed.

    Salmon scramble. $13. Very tasty

I went to the spot a couple days ago for lunch with one other who was just looking for a cup of coffee. Guy in front was fine. The place is nice with a lot of people working on their computer and the temperature inside wasn't exactly cool but fine. I ordered the Salmon Scramble for $13 consisting of scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and spinach served with salad and toast and it took maybe 10 minutes or so. The eggs had a nice fluffy texture though they were a bit watery and there was plenty of salmon and spinach mixed inside. The side salad was arugula based with balsamic dressing (presumably the same homemade stuff in the other salads) along with tomato and there were some seeds in it for crunch ( I think flax and pumpkin/pepitas.) I presume they get their bread from some bakery nearby and it had good texture. Not many complaints and I would go back here if I was in the area and wanted a heavy breakfast/light lunch.

Great spot to work from, hangout, spend time. The food is to die for- especially the bacon. It's a great place for family and kids with a few games, chill vibes. Very clean and well maintained!! And they have beer and wine too! Hidden Brunch gem for sure.

Delicious crepes ! Tin Cup Cafe delivery was excellent. The crepes arrived in perfect condition, nicely packaged. I tried 2 different kinds - the French Crepes Ham and Brie and the Banana-strawberry Nutella. Both were excellent and satisfying. The savory crepe (Ham and Brie) they sent was made with standard wheat flour (versus buckwheat flour for savory crepes). If that's important to you, then ask when ordering. I'm not that picky and I use regular flour for my own homemade crepes. I prefer Tin Cup's crepes over mine - they're better.

I loved the jazz music and calm ambiance. The coffee shop is spacious and great for working. The food was great. I got a bacon, egg, aurugula and avocado, and the iced chagaccino. Good customer service and quick service. Thank you! I'll definitely come back again and recommend it.

It came out warm and tasted so fresh. Service: Service was excellent. Staff were welcoming and friendly. They were attentive and constantly came around to fill our water. Ambiance: There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant is a good size with many tables to accommodate both large and small groups. Seating is comfortable, and the ambiance is nice. The host had even set a table aside for us with coloring pages (based on the mural on the opposite wall, which they loved realizing). Everything was absolutely perfect. The Gougère (a cheese puff pastry) was airy, light and I loved it, more than anyone else at the table. The fried artichokes were more broiled (tasted healthier) and came in a slightly acidic tahini sauce. The sauce was a light layer on the dish instead of on top to keep the brussel sprouts from getting soggy. I got the moules frites, fantastic, no notes. My son got the kids steak and fries which came with a salad he ate first. The price ($22) for a "kids" meal seemed steep, but the steak alone was probably worth the price, and actually seasoned. This is the type of kids meal that builds kids who actually like food. We got some zero cocktails (not enough sleep to drink and travel the next day) and they were great. If I'm at the NU hotel again, this is going to be a must stop place. Total bull was 222 (before tip) for 3 adults and 2 kids. Let's start off with their convenience. Located right off the F train at Metrotech, you couldn't ask for an easier trip into Brooklyn. And before 5pm, you can hit up their happy hour. We were early for our dinner reservation so we sat at the bar and ordered their teeny martinis. I had Gibson and my wife ordered a dirty vodka martini. Both were beautifully made and delicious. For dinner, we got the wedge salad, crispy hen of the woods mushrooms, pork pot pie, and steak frites. The wedge was a bit too fancy but decent. The mushrooms were very heavily seasoned which I actually loved. The pot pie was very good and the steak was exactly what you expected. We did order the foie gras au poivre sauce, only to find out that they didn't have any that night. We finished off with the sticky toffee and it was great. Our server was very attentive and checked in on us numerous times. The space itself is a beautiful historical restaurant. Overall the food is good, and the atmosphere is not the traditional stuffy steakhouse you find in Manhattan. Thankfully, they prioritized my comfort and moved right down the street from me to this Doordash kitchen. The porchetta is just about everything I want from a sandwich. It's stacked high, but not too high, with thin slices of roasted, herby pork belly and provolone. There's pickled red onions for acid and texture, arugula to freshen it all up, and the excellent ciabatta is swabbed with a red pepper jam that ties it all together. Someone thought very deeply about balance, and flavor, and I will be eating this sandwich on a regular basis. It comes in at $16 + tax and tip (not cheap), but they also threw some unexpected fries in there, which was a nice bonus. I don't think they did that just for me, so you'll probably get them too. The space is a bit nondescript, but they have a surprising amount of seating with big windows and bright natural light, including a decent view of the street. The folks who bring you your food are nice enough, and the Doordash kitchen thing is pretty convenient because you can pick up a couple types of food if for some reason your family doesn't want DELICIOUS SANDWICHES (Parm is in here too).

The menu here is jerk chicken related options including a chicken taco (what) along with some Asian inspired sides of all things (even more what.) The jerk chicken I had was moist but it lacked a bit of spice to be truly called jerk chicken outside of the skin. It was perfectly fine. I also ordered a side which was the soy-glazed rutabaga with charred scallion and chili dark sesame which was $7. This messy delicious side dish was better than the chicken being much more well flavored with a bit of heat in back and plenty of sour and sweetness.
