We have been searching for a long time for good Thai food in the suburbs. We finally found it. We had the spicy Pad Thai with shrimp and the Spicy Duck. Both lived up to their names and were full of flavor. The takeout menu gives you a choice of spiciness from 1 to 5. We chose 2 for the Pad Thai and 3 for the duck. I think the Pad Thai was actually a bit spicier but both were what we were expecting, which was hot enough to be noticed but not distracting from the tastes of the other ingredients. The place looked inviting when we picked up our order. We are looking to going back for a sit-down dinner. read more

Ordered takeout for 5 people for lunch. Everything was prepared very well, but the portions are a bit small and bit pricey for the amount you are getting. First time trying Thai food and the taste was phenomenal. Pad Thai was prepared amazingly and had the perfect ratio of peanut sauce to noodles. The cashew chicken was also amazing, super tangy and fried perfectly. Would recommend these two entrees. A little bit stingy on the sauce even when asking for extra (only 1 small soy sauce for about $120 worth of food) but otherwise great! read more

Fabulous fresh bright Thai located in Needham, MA. We've enjoyed a few meals to date. We enjoyed our restaurant experience very much. The food is authentic and tasty. We enjoyed fairly traditional dishes: Pad Thai, Chicken Pad See Ew, Curry, dumplings and crispy spring rolls. We especially enjoyed the Ramen as well. All delicious and would highly recommend. I came here with my girl friends for dinner, and was amazed by how delicious everything was -- and we tried a lot of the dishes. We had crispy baby bok choy, chive dumplings, steamed butterflies, tamarind wings, kra pow chicken, pad thai, drunken noodle, basil fried rice, mango curry, fried pork, thai iced tea with popsicle, and fried ice cream. The staff was professional and accommodating, bringing each dish out in a timely manner and ensuring there is space at our table. Although it is a small restaurant at the corner of the block, it was well lit and nicely decorated, giving it a very comfortable feel. It also has a nice view of the town center if you sit by the window. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great Thai food. I plan to visit again with my family and would order the same dishes and even try others. read more

I ate lunch at this very sunny and bright small restaurant in downtown Needham. The manager (or owner?) is a lovely lady, very enthusiastic, cheerful and came over several times during my meal. The silverware here is gold-plated which is a bit unusual. I started with the Tom Kha coconut soup with shrimp, delicious with a creamy coconut base and great flavors. Then I had the tofu Pad Thai with several chunks of fried tofu. I asked for additional bean sprouts and they brought me a good size bowl to add to my Pad Thai. The Pad Thai was fine, and the portion so large that I took half home with me. Lunch was $18 plus a five-dollar tip. But I accidentally added a $500 tip which the manager corrected on the spot. And the bathroom was spotlessly clean. I recommend this restaurant. Good food, great service, lovely atmosphere. read more

Very pretty and well-appointed restaurant! I came here for lunch on a Monday. The utensils and furniture are so pretty! Unique and not exactly like a stereotypical Asian restaurant, it's more like I guess a Tom Ford take on restaurant decor with cool chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and heavy gold utensils. I got the Thai wonton soup and lunch special chicken drunken noodles. It wasn't overwhelmingly salty, flavors were good balance. I would recommend for a lunch meeting or date. I absolutely love this place and their food is so delicious! The people who serve are so sweet and accommodating!

If you are in the area, this is a good move based on food alone. However, the service drops it down quite a bit. We ordered crispy spring rolls, won ton soup, crispy bok choy, shrimp friend rice, and the duck entree. It took forever for the soup to come out but it was hot and some of the freshest wontons I have ever had. I should have asked for a refund for the bok choy. They were over cooked. Think seaweed crisps with very little flavor. The crispy spring rolls were good. They just took a while to come out. Other tables were in and out so maybe we just didn't have a stellar server. My friend said the duck was really good. The shrimp fried rice was disappointing. My shrimp came out pretty white with very little pink. I sent them back. They did not make fresh ones or put mine back in the wok. They were heated up in the microwave and came back gummy with no grease just steam. Awful!! This could have easily been 5 stars but the food service was slow for our table and the server barely came by to see what we needed. If you are looking for another solid Thai restaurant, Eggs & Thai Cafe in Dedham is not as fancy but super tasty. read more

Stopped by for the soft opening of Little Spoon in Needham and they did not disappoint! The interior was beautiful, they did a great job decorating the space, and have plenty of indoor tables along with a few bar seats (although I didn't see an alcohol menu). We stopped in just for take out and ordered the pork dumplings, pineapple fried rice and chicken pad thai. Everything was phenomenal, super fresh ingredients ... would buy them all again! I wrote a reccomendaton but for whatever reason it did not take. Love the food been there several times. My favorite is the pork and rice with cucumbers. Tasty, consistent not under or overcooked. Service is friendly and wait staff are very accommodating. I have been there with friends when the restaurant is very busy and not when they are crowed and they loved their dishes. We had a serious problem here. It's unfortunate because we have been repeat customers and really enjoy the food BUT we ate here recently and paid with a credit card. We closed out our bill on the little credit card machine they gave us and didn't leave an extra tip because we left the 20% tip in cash since we'd rather leave a cash tip. A couple of days later we received a fraud alert in our email from our credit card company alerting us that a 41% tip was added to the bill from here and they were asking if we had added this purposely!!!!! We were rightfully upset as we closed out the bill ourselves and left a cash tip already so obviously someone who works at the restaurant went in after somehow and tried to add a HUGE tip. We are waiting to hear back from the credit card company since we put in a claim for fraud but I am writing this review to let the buyer beware and keep an eye on your bill if you use a credit or debit card here because this happened. Very wrong and very bad business!!!! read more

It was a disappointing experience. When we arrived, the restaurant was not crowded and we were seated quickly. After my friends arrived with their kids, we placed our orders. (At the time, they were not busy). We waited almost an hour for only two of our order. Then we waited another 15 minutes for the next one. There were 7 of us, none of the orders come out together. It felt like the kitchen was not handling the orders well. It was terrible to have us waited for so long for our meals and each of our orders came out at different times. The whole experience makes us feel like we were having dinner on our own and not a meal together!!! On top of that, we were rushed. They were so quick to collect our dishes! And then, without asking us what else we need for the night, we were given a check while one of my friend was finishing his noodles!!! The waiter actually brought his credit card machine to our table as my friend was eating. That's quite rude! The food was just ok. read more

I ordered Pad See You (Pad See Ew) with vegetables and tofu. Sadly, the vegetables and tofu were all noticeably undercooked, and the sauce tasted bitter. The noodles were decent, hence two stars. Judging by the other more positive reviews, I hope today was just an off day for the chef(s). Alternatively, I would wholeheartedly recommend a certain Thai restaurant in Wellesley of the "coconut" variety. I've ordered Pad Thai and Pad See Ew several times this month, and every dish was superb--5 out of 5. My next order of Pad ____ (fill in the blank) will be from the other establishment.
