The food was amazing! Plump and crispy crab rangoons, the best I've eaten so far. They did not scrimp on the filling. So good that I could've easily eaten double of what was in the order! The red curry was delicious with our choice of protein, steamed tofu, but it also came with plenty of veggies like green beans and bamboo shoot. The drunken noodles were chewy just the way they should be and lightly seared, wow. The pad Thai had classic flavors, sweet and umami - delicious. Portions were a great size. We ordered takeout and food was ready in a few minutes and piping hot to touch. The restaurant may have limited seating but looked cute and inviting. I want to like Rutchada more than I do, but in reality it's something of a mixed bag- some highs, some lows, not bad but not super consistent or amazing either. For example, I do like the mango curry, which has a good amount of spice without being overwhelming, but I don't like that the veggie mix contains lots of squash/zucchini (not personally my favorite, and led to some food waste). Other items, like the crazy udon and pad see yew and pad thai and crispy rolls and the lemonade, are OK/just fine with nothing majorly wrong but also nothing majorly right either. Some items are very tasty, like the peking duck wrap, and others are better in theory than in reality, like the flower cups (good flavor when you use the sauce, but are DIY and open at the top, so can get a little messy/uneven, and I don't think the veggies were otherwise seasoned). read more

I picked up an online order on a Saturday night and wasn't impressed with what we ordered. We got a pad see ew, jungle curry (+$2 white rice), curry puffs, and a Thai iced tea. How does a place that serves curry as a dish charge extra for rice?! I wanted to try something new, so the jungle curry sounded pretty interesting, but it was honestly jungle soup with vegetables in it. There is minimal to no spice in the dish and the soup curry is light and a bit sweet. I would not recommend getting this dish. The pad see ew was okay, nothing special, and had a lot of vegetables in it. The curry puffs were good, crispy outside and good filing of chicken, potato, and curry flavoring. They also have a taro option for the curry puffs. The Thai iced tea was sweet, but I wouldn't recommend getting their boba (+$1). Overall, not the best Thai food I've had, but I'd try out some other dishes if you decide to give this place a try. read more

Soooo happy to have great Thai food so close! We were there for the soft-opening and have been regulars since. As is typical with any brand-new restaurant there were a couple ordering kinks early on, but the owner and her employees could not be friendlier or more accommodating. Really sweet folks! As to the food... Portions are generous. We're slowly making our way through the menu. Some standouts: * The fresh rolls and crispy rolls are excellent, as are the gyoza * the Tom Yum soup is very good * we've tried all the curries - all very good. Massaman is my wife's fave. * excellent pad thai dishes. Hidden gem that just opened in Roslindale. Visited the restaurant on it's opening day and was greeted by the owner, who was warm and welcoming. Alot of things are still in process but it has the potential to be an amazing neighborhood Thai restaurant. -Crispy chicken pad thai was exceptional, chicken was tenderized with a light batter coating that contrasted with the soft yet sweet/sour noodles. Thai Discovery in Roslindale, MA! We were looking for an open restaurant on Christmas for a sit-down meal. After calling three or four Chinese places and getting busy signals, we stumbled upon Rutchada, a newly- opened Thai place in Roslindale. (Bless them for opening during a pandemic - and on Christmas!) Made an online res via Yelp, and 90 minutes later we were walking in, literally with the place to ourselves. It looked nice; small, cozy, clean and just a little funky (church pews for seats). What a pleasant surprise we were in for! Everything on the menu looked great, with each dish beautifully presented in the photos. I actually said, "It's not going to really look like that." Boy was I wrong! Not only was everything artfully plated, it was absolutely delicious, as well. We had the vegetable fresh rolls, which came with a perfect plum sauce, pineapple fried rice, fried tofu, and Jungle Curry with eggplant. Everything was as close to perfect as you can get. Siri, the owner and boss, is proud and deservedly so. We talked with her about how hard it must be to open a new place during COVID, but mostly we gushed to her about how good the food is. Delicious! The chicken yellow curry is beautifully flavored, you can just taste the coconut milk, and the curry has a bit of kick. The veggies are really fresh and sliced perfectly. The gyoza are handmade with a delicate wrapper and a juicy, spicy meat filling. I ordered steamed which is a real test of a dumpling's flavor and these pass with flying colors. The dipping sauce is the perfect vinegary counterpart. Shrimp/pineapple fried rice was terrific-LOTS of fresh shrimp (not rubbery or iodine-tasting) Arrived on time and still hot!
