Not really old school and not really authentic; kind of a middle ground but done well for what it is. Lunch specials (combos) available Monday thru Saturday. Japanese as well as Chinese, but I stick to the Chinese (and, unfortunately, it sticks to me). Hot & Sour Soup: Well above average; full bodied and perfectly spiced. Egg Roll: Excellent pork and cabbage rendition probably made on the premises. Crisp, moist to juicy, and very fresh. Among the best. Beef Teriyaki: Five sticks, all meaty, dark, and well lubed. You could almost tell the texture from the visual, but the texture was even better. Just a hint of pull, but mostly very tender. Flavor was both sweet and savory with a tingly spice element adding to the experience. Very aromatic. Elite beef teriyaki and among the top few I've ever had. Spareribs on the Bone: Very big, very red, very juicy. Interesting that with all that red coating, even on the cross sections, flavor didn't match the wonderful texture. I had no complaints with these ribs, but I was guessing elite and they were "only" very good. Pork Fried Rice: Not light of color, but felt light, more like a Mexican rice texturewise. Not dry but leaning toward it. The plentiful additions of pork, onion, egg, peas, and carrots helped out the cause. Orange Chicken: Somewhat crisp, somewhat sweet. Less impressive than the apps but decent enough.

Sesame Chicken was delicious. Broccoli was fresh.

Great Wok Wellesley was a good dining experience. They have good service and delicious food. It is on the smaller side from the interior. We were there on busy night and the tables/booths filled up quick. GWW serves Asian fusion dishes but they are broken down by style. We stuck to Chinese and it was so good. Definitely going back again.

Location right off route 9. Recently remodeled. Clean and bright interior. Enjoyed all the dishes we tried. Lots of flavor veggies were very fresh.

The food is always fresh and hot. They gave us free crab rangoons. Nice touch. Fried ice cream at an earlier visit

The worst Chinese food I've ever had. I ordered the General Gau's lunch special and threw it away after a few bites.

We came on a Monday night and we're seated immediately. For food, the Eel Clay Pot was excellent. The rice was super crunchy and crispy at the bottom and the eel was beautifully seasoned. I would also recommend the ribeye teriyaki with noodles. The steak was juicy and tender and the noodles were a nice compliment. The negatives are that unfortunately, I would pass on the avocado salad. For $15, it was a small portion, mostly greens, and minimal crab meat. The service also wasn't as organized, quick, and smooth as the other Fuji locations. Overall, I'm still a fan of Fuji, but I like the other branches a bit more.

The egg roll was excellent and nice crisp crunch, ingredients fresh and had a nice flavor. The chicken teriyaki was one of best I have had elsewhere. It was marinated and velvet tender. I assume a curry marinade maybe as was tasty. Boneless ribs were over cooked and reheated as shown in my picture. The pork fried rice was loaded with diced pork . The pork dumplings were fresh ingredients, but the dumpling exterior shells was the too hard shell type vs a soft noodle type. But the pork dumplings were excellent ingredients. It was as excellent lunch and priced fair and reasonable.

So I will admit that my attention to the details of my food was less than it could have been. One of the privileges of being a Yelp reviewer is that when the people you are eating with are boring, You can tune them out using the excuse that you are thinking about what you are going to say for your Yelp review. This has been a lifesaver for me more times than I can count. There was no need for this in Natick where the people I was with were amazing. That said - we did eat food. In this case food off the Chinese side of the menu. Everything was good. There are probably at least 200 places you can get American Chinese like this in the Greater Boston area. But there is no need to pass on Shanghai and Tokyo looking for something else. They are completely reliable.

I've seen salmon, tuna, toro, uni, squid, crab, and more. You can ask the staff to cut up the fish blocks for you, I'm not sure if this is for a small cost. They can add your fish to a bed of rice for an extra cost. They also have seafood that you cook, those items are in separate fridges with a label stating that the product is recommended for cooking. These items are frozen. You can also find different sauces, sushi rolling mats, seaweed, anything you can think of to help you prepare sushi. If you don't want to make your own sushi, you can order sushi from their menu and they will make it on the spot for you. Depending on the day or time you visit, there may be a little wait. I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon one time and waited ~10-15 minutes for two sushi rolls because there was only one person working on the sushi behind the counter and one person taking care of the register. Please be patient with them as they seem like a family-owned small business. You can also call ahead to order party trays. The prices seem fair, I've never been disappointed with the quality of fish. Very neat environment, there are signs for everything. The staff is also super friendly!
