Even at the end of a long day, we are often met with, "Do you need me to do anything else before I head out?" That level of care and initiative is rare. Every day, I receive thoughtful behavior reports about the kids, and the caregivers do a fantastic job keeping our daughters on top of homework, schedules, and extracurricular activities. There is a wonderful balance of structure and warmth in the care they provide. What I appreciate most is that the caregivers clearly love what they do. Most days I come home to focused studying and organized routines, but every so often I'll walk in to find everyone, caregiver included, in the middle of a full-blown karaoke session or dressed head-to-toe as princesses. It's been three months since my daughter last attended Happy…read moredaycare, and just today while we were playing, she suddenly said, "Hurry up!" -- the first time I've ever heard her say that. I assumed it was something her new teachers say, but she quickly corrected me: "No, no, Andrea says hurry up!" She then went right back to playing, laughing and calling out, "hurry up hurry up!!" That moment alone speaks volumes about how much Andrea means to my daughter. She started at Happy daycare when she was just 1.5 years old. As a first-time mom, I cried on her first day, and Arti sat with me, gently reassuring me that we just needed to give her time to build trust. I can't express how much it meant knowing they understood this was her first time away from home. Within a week, the tears stopped. On her last day, I was the one still in tears because Andrea wouldn't be caring for my little girl anymore. Andrea is incredibly kind and patient. She cared for my daughter with so much warmth that even on weekends, my little one would ask to go see her and this happened more times than I can count. I never had to worry about food it was all taken care of at the daycare. During a medical emergency with my daughter, both Andrea and Arti stayed with her until I arrived, then remained by my side as we figured out the next steps. My daughter still misses Andrea to this day, and I know she will for a long time.

Ms. Mila and her husband Mr. Cuqui took care of both my children--my youngest from the time he was an infant until he recently transitioned to TK. They are some of the best caregivers I have been lucky to meet, and they are organized, efficient, and dependable in how they run their home daycare. If you are a new parent and unsure of whether a nanny, preschool, or something in between will be the most ideal for your child, Ms. Mila's truly blends the best of them all. The home-based environment provides that casual, family-like touch that is so good for the little ones' development and helps builds important human connections at an early age. At the same time, Mila and Cuqui integrate lots of intentional teaching, play, art, and activities on a daily basis that engage the children in foundational learning and skills-building. Both my kids learned to read at an early age, which I attribute to the help of the consistent attention and teaching they got here.
