The food was good but my daughter found a small piece of metal in her lo mein we ordered from the restaurant and had delivered by DoorDash.

Had to try this place again during my visit to Altoona. Was delicious! Staff still very friendly and professional! Sushi was very fresh, tuna had a very nice ruby red tone, so was very happy to see!! Will continue frequenting it next time I'm in town!

Absolute hidden gem. The service was great and the food was even better -- I loved their sushi specials and was delighted to learn they also serve pho! Can't wait to return.

Being from the south, I'm not used to seeing snow that actually lingers on the ground like in PA. Which got me in the mood for some ramen when I visited for a business trip in late January. I was a bit skeptical when I walked in because it was dead inside and the menu was written on a white board, but I actually ended up being pleasantly surprised. I started with a seaweed salad, which was pretty run of the mill. For my entree, I ordered the seafood spicy miso ramen. It was presented beautifully. The broth was well seasoned and soothed my soul with its warmth. There was a decent amount of noodles and seafood (scallops and shrimp) for the price of $15. I did think the shrimp was a touch overcooked though. When I return to the area, I would be interested to give their sushi a try as they have a pretty extensive menu despite the location being relatively small.

Too expensive. Not enough seating. You eat where they order. The workers are nice, but it just isn't worth it.

I love little Tokyo! The only downside is the seasonal options, bubble tea in summer only and ramen only in Winter

Everyone says: go ahead Frank, just order, we trust you (i love these people). Minimal criteria: Convenient and delicious enough (given the expectations bar appropriately set for the region), and variety for people who each want something a little different. TY Yelp, Kokoro looks promising. placed a take-out order, and given Saturday night of Big Ten Wresting Championships, order was ready and delivered just fine. The food is good enough, hand rolls, egg rolls, ramen bowls, chic wings, and def don't pass up on the Avocado Kokoro, deff tasty (too much sauce, but just fine). Def worth an order, you won't be disappointed, if you accept the geographical frame (we're in a college town, not a major metro China-town).

The bbq pork tasted like it was microwaved from a cheap tub in the grocery store. The broth was bland. The egg was not marinated (like a real ramen egg). The noodles tasted old. The dumplings were chewy and had a weird after taste. The food was generally sketchy, and i stopped eating halfway through. The service was confusing, but nice at least. The inside was basically the bones of the previous restaurant, whatever that was (the hut pot- maybe? Judging from the old podium hidden in the back. The good reviews have to be fake. Nuff said. Don't do it. Go anywhere else.

We chose to eat outside in their beautiful garden, which made for the perfect setting. I ordered the Hawaiian-style poke bowl, and it was absolutely delicious! The portion was very generous, with plenty of fresh ahi tuna. One of the highlights of our visit was meeting a brother and sister who were also traveling from out of town. We ended up sharing a table and great conversation, which made the experience even more memorable. The service was excellent. We asked our server for a recommendation, and he suggested the poke bowl--and I'm so glad he did! Everyone in our group loved their meal. If we're ever back in the area, we will definitely return. I highly recommend The Knickerbocker!

But we decided to not spend more time for finding something else and stepped in. It was very charming, surprisingly well kept,of course old,but in a good way. Menu was intriguing, modern and seasonal, which I value the most. Waiter was engaging in our menu exploration and was knowledgeable. Now to the food.. cauliflower appetizer made as General Tso was one other best cauliflower in my entire life. Lightly fried, not mushy, but with exact chicken like texture in divine sauce, kicking spicy with sweet undertones. In the same way not overpowering to forget about cauliflower itself. A+ for that dish!!! Pirogi was a little doughy on my opinion, but taste was good. Asian bowl with salmon had great flavor profile: cabbage salad was beautiful and freshly crisp, carrots were marinated perfectly with slight vinegary flavors, bok choy was unbelievably delicious. I asked for medium salmon, mine was almost well done, but taste was good and rice in the middle wasn't sticky and flavorful, but had watery texture and was bland. Overall, this is an amazing festival of flavors and technically challenging menu. Bravo!!!

The store isn't very big but they have a lot of stuff. I found what I thought I needed and asked the lady working if I could make kimchi with it and she said no, then walked me around to get the items I DID need and I really appreciated it! My kimchi turned out tasty, but who knows how authentic it actually is haha. One cool thing is they serve fresh kimbap on thursdays (I think), and I hear it's usually very limited quantities but I've had it before and can vouch that it's delicious! They sell their own made in-house kimchi too which looked good. They have Korean specific ingredients but also some other things that are more generally used in Asian cuisine. They're a little pricy but worth it if you need something quick! They still recommend masking (something I think it's maybe time for us to move on from...) but they don't require it, just know if you go in unmasked you may get some unpleasant looks.
