Service was ok. Rolls were small and expensive. I had no idea that fish could be cut so thin and not in a good way.

Stick with the mainstream items here. They do miso, sushi, teriyaki an a few other items well. Used to come weekly for lunch till the bill started to bump $10.00 instead of $6.50. Crew at the sushi bar are always helpful and seem to care about what they do. read more

Came here for lunch today around 2pm to get happy hour (2-5pm) prices. We had Takoyaki which were pretty darn tasty! Octopus was a little over cooked and sparse but the flavor and presentation were on point. We also had the gyoza. Store bought but cooked nicely, good crispness. Finally we split the Torch Roll. Fish was nice, rice was good. Ordered some eel sauce on the side because it was pretty spicy. Over all pretty darn good. One of the only places in Bellingham to get Takoyaki so I'll be back for that at least. read more

This is my absolute favorite place to go for Sushi and Miso always so delicious and well presented! This evening was my best experience in there so far! I called in an order for pick up and when I get there Paige greets me immediately asks if I was the one here for pick up and used my name directly. I think the computer probably saves your info from the first time you call in an order as she asked if it was me when I gave her my phone number in the call. But either way, nice touch when I walk into the business she was very nice and friendly! One other time my fiancé and I had dined in and she was helpful with our questions but acted very much so like she didn't want to either be there or help us. That was our second time ever having been in but I have been back multiple times since because it's so yummy and well priced. Paige has been better each time, gradually more perky and uplifting! Super happy with her service as of the past few months (I've been going here for almost two years now) and tonight made me feel very welcomed and happy! Great service Paige and look forward to seeing you in the future! And thanks for my dinner kitchen staff! Did the ownership change? I've been here many times in the past - While I was never "impressed" by this place, I always thought their food was decent enough as far as Bellingham's sushi market goes... I came here for lunch on a Saturday and ordered tempura shrimp - they were very small and looked like they were out of a frozen box, which I had to pay $8.50 for for 4 pcs. Obviously grossly overpriced. I usually order more, but was already disappointed by my first order and left. I don't think I will be coming back for a while. read more

Poorly prepared sushi. Mediocre, but edible, teriyaki and noodles. Overpriced. Server never refilled our water. One of my party got their sushi at separate times: once after the rest of the table had started on their food, the rest when we were nearly finished. It's amazing that restaurants like this can survive. read more

Little Tokyo is wonderfully good. I love to go there. I have an incredibly good Bento box with the rice, oranges a salad and miso soup and don't forget the teriyaki chicken. Save room for dessert because they have incredibly good mochi ice cream and I think there only $1.50. It's made out of rice cake and ice cream on the inside. Decided to try this place out, was a bit disappointed. Service was okay but the food was kinda bland. The seaweed in the sushi was so overpowering that I couldn't taste anything else in the California rolls. The teriyaki didn't have much flavor. And the gave us each 3 menus. I'm guessing one was a "main" menu, one was a sushi menu, and the last was the beverage menu? Not sure why they all couldn't be inside the same folder.. read more

OK. It's halfway decent sushi, which is high praise for Bellingham by the bay. It's quite expensive, though, and lacking in awesomeness, so I would say don't go. Oh, and the sushi happy hour thing is like the worst deal I've ever heard of. It's $1 per piece of sushi, dude. It's such a great deal it's bordering on a rip-off in my opinion. Miso soup was good, but both the Spring Rolls and Tempura were heavy, as if the oil wasn't hot enough. Sauce on the grilled Unagi was unfortunately heavy and sweet, like a Teriyaki. Giving it 3 stars instead of 2 because alternatives are limited. read more

It's a good place don't get me wrong, staff is very polite and helpful sushi is reasonable price, especially at happy hour, but the sushi is very run of the mill. It's not bad but it's nothing special, the have switched a few menu items around this last year, and have switched my favorite dish ( calamari) from baby squid tenticles, to squid rings. They are good and buttery but no longer unique and give me a fast foody vibe. The egg rolls we got tonight though are why I dropped them from a usual 4 for me to a 3. They tasted like cigarettes. Literally. My wife and I ate 1 bite each and where appalled. Luckily the waitress took them back and we had them removed from our order. Even the waitress thought it was gross. If you go stay away from egg rolls spring rolls and anything close, save yourself money and get some frozen ones from haggen, they will be better read more

Every time I'm in Bellingham for work I make time to stop into Little Tokyo for my lunch. Excellent service, excellent food.

Service was lacking, there were only three sides given with the Korean BBQ meal portion, which is not usual. The quality of the meat was poor, as well as the portion size. I wouldn't recommend coming here for Korean BBQ. The cleanliness of the restaurant was questionable as well. A lot needs to be improved. read more

I'm giving Little Tokyo a 5 star rating for Bellingham based on both quality of sushi and price. I say "for Bellingham" because I have had better sushi in other places, but come one people, this is Bellingham! It doesn't get any better than this unless you travel. I've only been here a couple times, but each time I come the service is wonderful and food is delicious. I always get the side of gyoza, which are perfect and just the right amount! The only thing that bothers me is that there always seems to be only one server. They're all very quick and punctual, but when it gets busy I can't imagine. I have never got my order the way I actually order it and overpriced for service and wrong orders. And they don't really care when they get your order wrong. It should be $1 sushi all the time because that's pretty much what you get! read more

If a customer doesn't want the soup and asks for a bit more rice instead, give them some extra rice. How expensive is a bit of rice?

Creative high-end sushi roll deliciousness. I'd easily give Little Tokyo five stars if the prices weren't just a tad high for Bellingham.

First time coming to this place and absolutely loved it! I had a few appetizers but really loved the Snow White roll, and the Katsu don. While it was extremely busy, I was impressed with the service. Bailey was our waitress and she was very friendly! She was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. We definitely will be coming back. read more

Bham has tons of fantastic places to eat but if you are looking for sushi this is the spot. Feeling cold and need warming up try the curry udon it's my favorite item on the menu and never disappoints. It can get crowded during the rush hours but the wait is well worth it. read more

Did not like the Chicken Katsu because they did not use quality chicken. It was dark meat mixed with white and chewy at best. Did not like the dipping sauce. The salad dressing on the salad was harsh and overpowering. The egg rolls that come with the Bento Box were very oily and did not taste authentic. This used to be my favorite place to eat in Bellingham. My friend and I had dinner every other Wednesday and not once did either of us have a complaint. The new owners have changed the seating area (it is very cramped), the sauces are different and not consistently the same, and the fish has a thawed out texture (very mushy). The last three visits I was not happy with my rolls and my friend was not happy with the teriyaki or the tempura. While the new wait staff is nice enough they don't seem to want to get to know their regular customers. Used to be we could walk in and the girls would ask if we wanted the usual and we all knew each other by name. Then they would take the time to chat with us while waiting for our meals. I really miss the old Little Tokyo! And am now on the hunt for a new sushi place. read more
