    Coconut shrimp soup
    Shondra B.

My son loved his orange chicken and said he would order it again but take into consideration that he is only 4 and its sugar coated orange flavored chicken. I can not each chicken so I can't give an honest review of that dish. The shrimp however was overcook with soggy breading. This could be due to the fact that its curb side pickup and the shrimp steamed inside of the togo container until I got home. The shrimp had entirely to much breading and because it was soggy in some parts it was pretty hard to force down. The fried rice isn't actually fried its steamed with some soy sauce mixed in. It wasn't bad if you like steamed rice with veggies and shrimp. The shrimp in the rice was cooked perfectly. The coconut shrimp soup was more like a lemon grass soup with mushrooms green onions and exactly two shrimps. The shrimp was again overcooked and rubbery. The soup did have great flavor but was definitely not coconut and would have been better without the shrimp. They earned 1 star for the rice being tasty and another for the coconut sauce that was packaged separately from the fried shrimp. It was so good! I will definitely try this place again but I'll be requesting steamed shrimp instead of fried for the coconut sauce and I'll try a different soup. My kiddo was happy and I didn't have to cook so that's a win in my book.

I've been visiting Burnsville for over 20 years and last night was my first time trying this restaurant. I'm glad I avoided it for this long. I'm from Miami, so I'm not going to compare it to NY Chinese food but it was so far from what I've ever eaten I have nothing to compare it to. The food was terrible, had no flavor, and I'm worried I'm going to pay for this in more than one way. We had wonton soup, coconut soup, egg drop, hibachi chicken and shrimp pepper steak, honey garlic chicken, some egg rolls, and that's all I can recall. Nothing was good or memorable. The fried rice wasn't even fried. There's was no pork in the rice so that should give you an idea of what was like. Stay away. It was actually busy and I'm the locals love it but you could get more authentic Chinese from Ingles down the street.

The food was delicious. Vegetables were very fresh and sauces were tasty and not greasy. Service was very fast and friendly.

Very surprising. Maybe the best hot and sour soup I have ever had and love their Szechuan pork.

Worst fried rice I've ever had and nasty tasting seafood dishes. Would not eat here again if the food was free. Don't waste your money.

I've only been there once, so far, considering they just opened this week. I started with the spicy tuna salad, and it was full of beautiful chunks that I THOUGHT were diced tomatoes at first, the kimchi sauce and accoutrements were very satisfying. Because it was my first time there, I also ordered pad see ew, to try their hot food. The crab Rangoon appetizer was so light, crunchy, and flavorful, I wanted more. The entree was very tasty and satisfying, though the size was a bit modest. But it is an affordable lunch special, right? Wifey tried the California rule, and reported it was perfect, spring roll was excellent, and her panang curry was excellent, I was not offered a nibble! Next time, I will try the seafood sushi...

The food was brought out randomly with some of our table receiving their plates 20 minutes before others. We also never received 2 of our sushi rolls and had to inquire about it. There was a 20 percent gratuity added to our tickets with only 5 people on our ticket. Expensive food and poor service!

The restaurant is just beautiful and seating capacity is great--inside and outside. If weather is nice and permitting outside, you get a beautiful view of the mountains. The interior has a full bar and modern-decor. The menu features lots of creative fusion dishes. I enjoyed the avocado salad more than I expected. Maybe it was the ginger lemon dressing. It's light and filling. The ramen bowls are rich and the miso vegetarian Ramen is much more bold, flavorful than I had expected. The carrots and roots were caramelized with a sweetened hint. The ramen bowls are generous in size. I'm bookmarking this place to come back!!! The waitresses gave us several recommendations and her shows through her service and her recommendations of local shops to explore after our dinner.

The staff were extremely helpful. I mentioned I was looking for vegetarian options, and the bar tender thoughtfully guided me through the various options on both the tapas and ramen menus. That made for a great experience. In terms of the food, I opted for the miso eggplant and the garlic butter broccoli. Both were excellent. The miso eggplant is served as well cooked Japanese eggplant with a light tempura treatment and somewhat sweet miso glaze. Not too heavy, but still delicious and nicely textured. The broccoli was perfectly cooked with lots of flavor. It made for a nice pairing. In terms of beer, they had a few different local beers on tap. I went for a local pale ale. Great. In any case, this place is highly recommended. I suspect their vegetarian ramen would probably be pretty good, but that was a little heavier than what I was looking for. It was nice to have a few other vegetable forward options available as a backup.

The entire bowl was phenomenal & I wished we had gone back there, the boiled egg they gave was also roasted and the bamboo shoots were fresh, the meat so tender and juicy, and the broth is very tasty!! I craving it while typing and a watery mouth! My partner and I shared a Miso Ramen and I wish we had something similar where I live!!! The decorations were cool and retro and the staff were nice, just an odd waitress but food is amazing!

Waiter was spot on - tended to us quickly to get our drinks. He came and took our order and food came out fairly quickly. The vegetable tempura was great - not greasy and this one had broccoli and eggplant (I dont like eggplants but I am sure someone will.appreciate this). Fried rice - even though it was kids, it was fantastic. It was not oil soaked and the flavor was so clean. Even my picky husband said it taste so good! Rice was not mushy.. it was, excellent! The Chow Hor Fun? I wont lie... I disnt have high hopes as a restaurant in the Carolinas. Boy was I wrong! The noodles were al dente, beautiful mix of all the veggies and protein. Sauce was a little sweet for my taste, so I was able to request for some chilli sauce and was all good. Also, not greasy. I was happy. My husband got the tuna sushi nigiri, tuna roll, salmon nigiri and white tuna. It was really good! Everything was bright and did not smell fishy. Last note - portions are freakin HUGE! Like i ate a third and took the rest' and the container was full. My daighters "kids" fried rice was packed to the brim. Expect left overs, u less your a competitive eater. We were allowed to sit anywhere, and we didn't wait long for a server. Wanting to try several dishes, we chose the pad thai, the ginger pepper beef, and the red curry with chicken. We also ordered some alcohol, my wife wanting to try a particular wine. A sample was brought, but it wasn't very good, it tasted as if the bottle was old, as if it had been opened multiple days ago. We commented on this to ourselves. My wife ordered a full glass of a different wine. Our server brought the entire bottle of that wine over to open it and pour it, in what I would describe as a purposeful but unnecessary gesture of showing that it was a fresh bottle. My wife made a comment about the type of corkscrew she tended to prefer while the server was pulling the cork, and the server's response came across as unnecessarily abrasive. Our food came out fast, and the portions were good sized. The pad thai was tasty, well made. The red curry was not very good, it had a very unusual vegetable blend and the sauce was very watery. The ginger pepper steak and its vegetables had a decent flavor but several of the meat pieces seemed to be partially made of what I can only describe as gooey gelatin, independent of the sauce the dish was cooked in. Very off-putting. All three dishes were decently warm when they hit the table but not piping hot, and as a result they were lukewarm or cold fairly quickly. Later on I observed our server helping another server clear a table and our server made a definitive and unmistakable head gesture towards our table. Overall she seemed very tense, only checking on us occasionally. Her lack of care was emphasized when she checked by our table and we told her we were done with a half-eaten red curry and she did not question whether there was anything wrong. Overall a negative experience, and we will not be returning.
