It's been over four years since I have done a review for Nora Xpress in Marion, North Carolina, it states it is a Japanese restaurant, but the cooks are all Hispanic? The food is edible. The service is OK and the ambience is casual today. I ordered their veggie medley without broccoli and one veggie medley with broccoli, extra mushrooms, extra carrots, normally the carrots are sweet. This is why I order extra but today they were less than normal. Their service was fast from time of order yet the person bringing it to me was a little confused, thinking I was outside. There's no outside seating, so you have to wait inside for your meal I give it to Star hope in the future it will go up from there. I will keep you informed. read more

Horrible service and got order wrong. I ordered takeout on 6/26 Wednesday. Order $27 worth of food and side dishes. Got home and my zucchini and onions was missing. Along with the side of mushrooms I ordered. I went back and showed them my receipt. Was told I needed to bring bag back. So I asked if naras was going to reimburse my gas for a third trip. We were staying in Marion for 2 nights and our hotel front desk recommended Nara. We ordered the chicken teriyaki with broccoli and the steak hibachi with mushroom and broccoli. The food came out fast! Despite the food coming out fast, it wasn't good at all. My chicken was extremely dry and over cooked. There was no seasoning on the chicken. The only flavor came from the sauce. The fried rice had little to no veggies/egg in it. It was also bland. All in all, this is not typical hibachi and I was disappointed in the overall experience. read more

The woman at the register couldn't tell what I was saying to save her life and almost overcharged me multiple times. Went to take care of a family member and read the reviews on how the food was and took a chance.... tried for two days to get ANYONE to answer the phone ...... even called from the parking lot and nobody went near the phone. Waited in the drive thru and placed an order and mentioned that nobody was answering the phone and the girl at the window had NO response. Thankfully the food was good. They don't do food tricks or cook in front of you but they sure do know how to cook some typical Japanese food. This place is a favorite among all of my friends. Very fresh, tasty food that was fairly priced. I had the hibachi steak and chicken and a California roll. Meal was above average, but not exceptional. Place was clean, staff was friendly, and food came out quickly and correct. Nice portions and I liked the real plate and silverware. Clientale seemed to be mostly families or older couples. Great Hibichi steak! The meat was 1st quality and cooked with mushrooms perfectly. My wife had Hibichi chicken and shrimp. Carrots instead of mixed vegetables- was ok. Overall great meal in a nice dining room. read more
