This is steak and shrimp hibachi, with salad.

Great new place for Japanese Cuisine in Anderson! The service is quick, the food is tasty. Salad dressing is some of the best flavored dressing I've had. Will be going back. I spoke to the owner and he told me that soon they will also have Bubble(Boba) Tea! Nobody in town has Boba, so I am very excited about that!

As our weekend wound down, we all decided we wanted to go out for a special dinner. The suggestion came to check out Ron Lahody's Trust Your Butcher Steakhouse. It's about four blocks, easily within walking distance for most and with street parking around for those not able to walk that distance, from the Courtyard and I have to admit I was in for something a bit more premium. Lahody grew up around the meat business, though entered it a bit later after some time in the Marines, graduating from Ball State, working in the family business, and then spending 22 years in home remodeling. Finally, he opened Lahody meats in 2008 and then years later made it to the actual steakhouse business. Lahody still owns Lahody Meats in Muncie, recently opened a steakhouse in Anderson, and yet this spot is the original. As a wheelchair user, I was definitely looking for something wheelchair friendly. Downtown Muncie tends to be older and you can never be certain. I'd gone wheeling around the area the day before and was pretty sure this would be safe. We made our reservation for the end of our work day and then headed over to the steakhouse. I instantly fell in love with the place. It's intimate yet finely decorated. It has the traditional steakhouse vibe with a wood, warm environment, a nicely done bar area, and a couple spots that were clearly made for accessibility. We were placed in one of those booth/tables - small yet nicely sized and none of us ever felt over-cramped. I sat at the end of the booth while my friends took the inside seats. Our server, whose name I have unfortunately forgotten, was wonderful from beginning to end. The young woman was very friendly and helpful. Service was nicely paced, attentive, and never intrusive. It's worth noting that while you can eat somewhat modestly here, and they do have specials, this really is a higher-end steakhouse designed for premium dining. We ordered a couple appetizers at $15 each - candied bacon and green tomatoes. I had never tried candied bacon and kind of fell in love with it. My two peers enjoyed the green tomatoes. My peers enjoyed alcohol, a couple brews each with a solid variety available, and I enjoyed my usual unsweetened iced tea. We all ordered steaks, a definite rarity for me. One peer went for filet mignon. Myself and the other for a New York Strip. You get two sides with a steak. I saw they had roasted potatoes, an absolute favorite of mine, and I doubled an order for my two sides. Lahody himself was in-house. He's an older gent, silver-haired yet impeccably dressed. He was introducing himself to customers and sitting at the end of the bar when I left. When he thanked you for coming, the gratitude felt sincere. Service? Top-notch. Accessibility? I didn't visit the restroom, however, everything was accessible and comfortable. The steak? Oh my, I haven't had a steak this good in a long time. It was cooked as ordered and prepared beautifully. The roasted potatoes were nicely seasoned and simply sublime. This was a definite splurge for me, however, as we were celebrating finishing up a non-profit film it felt like a beautiful way to celebrate with friends in an environment where I felt welcome. There's no question I'll return.

The wedges with cheese and bacon were ok, prefer regular fries myself. The prime rib came out as preferred and the raw horseradish had some kick. The loaded bake potato had a lot of seasoning on the outside too. Overall it was ok. Service was phenomenal though.

Tucked inside Hoosier Park, this place really surprised me with how elegant and welcoming it is. The steak was cooked to perfection--juicy, flavorful, and exactly as ordered. The sides were delicious too, especially the garlic mashed potatoes and the creamed spinach. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere felt upscale yet comfortable. Overall, if you're in Anderson and looking for a great steakhouse experience, Home Stretch is a must-try. I'll definitely be coming back! Tracy Schooler

When I tried order off the menu to see if I could get a trout and steak combo, my server tried very hard to make this happen, but gave up. She could have asked a manager, but it was not important enough for me to pursue the matter. But, she was very sweet and was very helprul the rest of the time. Pittsburgh Rare steak preparation involves charring the exterior on a very hot flat-top and serving it rare. What I got was not this, as I could immediately tell by the fact that it had noticeable grill marks. They just cooked as usual for a rare order. With a NY Strip steak, you expect some connective tissue, but not this much. It was hidden also in the muscle of the steak. I had trouble hiding all the half chewed offal on my plate. Neither did it have a great beef flavor. This summary from the internet agrees with my idea of rice pilaf, "Pilaf is a rice dish where grains are toasted in oil or butter with aromatics like onion and garlic before being simmered in seasoned broth, resulting in fluffy, separate grains." What I was served was nothing like this as I got buttered rice that clumped together. No effort was employed in plating for appearance. I got a steak on a plate and a silver colored boat on which the rice was piled. The Cole slaw served as a salad was very good. The beer was cold and as expected.

Tony, our server, was on top of every detail from start to finish. As a result, we had a very enjoyable unrushed experience. Every food item we ordered was terrific: * Crab cakes with remoulade and corn relish were a perfect start. * Beet salad with greens, pecans & goat cheese was exceptional * The Tomato 'soup of the day' had a nice peppery accent * Eye of Ribeye was cooked perfectly to specifications - Medium Rare, Black & Bleu but with Gorgonzola * Sides of Roasted Carrots and Mac & Cheese (slices of a picante pepper added a nice heat) rounded things out nicely. * Wine list is not extensive but enough to satisfy even particular palates (I'm fussy). There were many menu items that intrigued me so a return visit is definitely in the cards.

Very lounger, sexy, chic yet cozy. 5/5. We sat in a booth by the bar. Small comment card, it is far too tight of a walkway. So there's sexy plush bar chairs along the bar top (love a good comfy bar chair with a back!), but then inches behind you- it's a major walkway of constant traffic. You can't stand and mingle w others that are sitting in the bar chairs bc you'll be in the way of a server or other patrons trying to get seated. There's a whole other section of the restaurant that is not inside the bar area - looked nice! Everything here is ala carte, so my guy and I eat got our own meat and then split a bunch of sides. I loved the red wine, filet mignon steak, Mac and cheese, asparagus and potatoes. My guy got the Wagyu steak, and to be honest- we were pretty disappointed. He ate it but he was wishing he was eating my steak. Ha! We also ordered the mushrooms-- I would not order again, they were sub-par. There was something in the sauce that just wasn't hitting the palette right. We usually love the shrooms the most when we go places, but not this night. But hey! You can't win em all! Overall, nice place! Is it better than Harry & Izzy's, 1933, or Provision? No. They still take the cake ;)
