My doctor found this pharmacy close to where I live, so I went ahead and had my prescription sent here. Before I even visited, the two people who helped me over the phone were so kind, especially Will, who was a wonderful resource of information. They have the option to talk with you over the phone or via text, and both ways proved very helpful. When I visited the pharmacy, I was pleased to see there was a parking lot (finding parking in Little Tokyo can be difficult sometimes). Will was there and was very friendly! Love this pharmacy! My first time going to a non-corporate pharmacy and I'm so glad that they are close to where I live. Very prompt with medication pickups, staff is very friendly and accommodating as well. I had issues with my doctor sending prescription medicine and they were very helpful in tracking down my meds and keeping me updated along the way. They also offer flu and covid shots, I called ahead of time and they were able to reserve it for me really easily. Can't recommend them enough! read more

I try my best to support small and local businesses, because F*CK large corporations! But, when a local business can't deliver the simplest things, like having my prescription ready when it's supposed to be, I can't stand for that shit! I burned my hand pretty badly last night while cooking, and I had to go to urgent care. I had some ointment prescribed and was told I could pick it up at Little Tokyo Pharmacy. I received a text message from the pharmacy earlier today saying that my prescription was ready for pick up. To my surprise, I was told that the ointment that I needed was out. Apparently, they needed to order it from elsewhere, but they "didn't know if I was coming in." So, you're telling me, you received a fucking prescription, but did not bother contacting the provider or the patient that they were out in order to save me a fucking trip to pick up my supposed medication after being in traffic for almost an hour to get home!??! Absolute horse shit! I don't give a flying fuck how polite they were! You wasted my goddamn time! How does a pharmacy that PEOPLE DEPEND ON FOR THEIR HEALTH AND WELLNESS not have the proper medication ready? And, even more so, how do they not bother reaching out the patient to let them know? Utterly fucking unconscionable! I will never be sending any sort of medication here! Oh, and the kicker is, the pharmacist said that I should be the one to call ahead next time if I have a prescription to make sure they have the items in stock! Why the fuck should I, the patient, have to call for that shit? THAT'S YOUR FUCKING JOB!!!! Un-fucking-believable! It's the closest pharmacy to me; which turned out to be very lucky. I love the pharmacy and staff. They are the nicest pharmacy staff I ever encountered in this country. They know me by name, they always have my strange prescriptions ready, and they look out for interactions with other medications the doctors sometimes miss: They recently saved me from serotonin syndrome, after they saw the doc had prescribed something that was a very bad mix with another medication I take. I did mention this medication to the doctor twice :/). Additionally, I'm happy to support a small business instead of a corporation. read more

This pharmacy is racist. They created a policy in order to not fill my prescription and would not answer calls from my doctor to answer the questions they needed. I went to CVS who had never heard of the policy and filled my prescription with ease. Do not shop here. Do not support. They claim and continue to claim to follow some sort of policy that would have prevented them from serving me but I've now been to two different pharmacies that have never heard of the policy. These guys are the best. My mother, who uses Medicare, has been a long time customer, and I recently switched over, too, when I could've gone anywhere else with my PPO. They not only give the best advice regarding medicine and overall health, but they really go the extra mile by working closely with your doctors and insurance companies to make sure you'd have your prescriptions ready. BUT THERE'S MORE. When some senior citizens who barely have enough to pay for medicine using Medicare and Medi-Cal have hard time getting to the pharmacy, they sometimes even make deliveries so that those sick and weak can receive care. THAT'S REAL CARE. There's a reason why I drive all the way to Little Tokyo for medicine when I live in Koreatown. They really, really care about people. Best pharmacy in town. read more

We've become fast friends now. Filling prescriptions is such a BREEZE. WOW! She handles filling prescriptions with such SPEED & EASE. She really works hard to gain your loyalty and trust. Fabulous! Hands Down - BEST PHARMACY EVER! I drive here all the way from Cerritos, y'all...that's an hour each way during "those hours", 30 minutes one way at best. Why? A.) The FRIENDLIEST pharmacist! Mi Sook is an absolute delight! She always has a big smile on her face, always! I've seen her on the phone, dealing with complicated issues...still smiling. She's also multi-lingual: speaks English, Korean, and Japanese (that I know of). I believe her husband and her own the pharmacy. He's also very nice. Once I called them and told them I was stuck in traffic and would be there 10-15 minutes past the closing time. They waited!!! What CVS or Walgreens would do that? ** Speaking of which: I drove around for FOUR hours last night, from one 24-hour pharmacy to another from long beach to Anaheim to get a script filled for pain meds because I was hurting so badly. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM either "didn't have" Norco (SERIOUSLY?!) or straight up accused me of forging a prescription! Keep in mind, this is a chronic condition and I've been taking the same meds FOR YEARS. And I've certainly had my meds filled at those shitholes before! I'm now going back to my one and only. I have never felt so offended!** Also- the other staff at this pharmacy are very sweet and courteous! B.) The SHORT WAIT: My longest wait time ever here: 15 minutes. I walked down to the Japanese Bakery and got a yummy treat and it was ready by the time I got back. I've gotten there on several occasions after work just minutes before they close. They never complain and always have it ready within minutes. Another time, a doctor had filled out a script incorrectly and Mi Sook had him paged, spoke with him, and the problem resolved, script filled within 10 minutes. Try getting them to do that at Walgreens! I laugh out loud. C.) Nice selection of other OTC items, both American and Japanese. They now even sell lotto tickets! D.) Okay, this is kinda silly but: after the long drive, a girl sometimes has to pee! They always let me use their bathroom, which is up in the back. (Whew!) E.) Competitive PRICES: I temporarily did not have insurance after getting laid off, and after comparing costs with those other places, the prices were the still the best here. And in fact, Mi Sook offered to order the less expensive of the two available generics for one of them with her next shipment...just for me! F.) There is free parking here. Just get the ticket validated. I could go on and on, I am obviously a loyal customer..,however, I still have a prescription to fill and need to get on the road!
