This is the first time we've been to this location and we were very impressed. This was due to Moises. We were checking on some photos we sent in for printing to see if they were ready. He looked our order up and proceeded to print right away. Moises let us know how long it would take and would periodically check in to let us know how much longer. He later had to go on break and let me know another person would be finishing up the transaction. He informed his coworker the details of our transaction and that we already paid. When he got back from break, he again checked on us and our order. He explained their printer got stuck and only 30 of 40 printed. He gave us a couple of options on how to proceed--- if we would like a partial refund or if we wanted to wait for them to fix the printer and reprint. We opt for the partial refund. I requested for a vacation override and was instructed by Pharmacist Everlyn to call back on 04/15, a week before prior to departure date. I called and was told that the copay coupon was expired so i called the manufacturer to get a new copay card good until 04/12/24. I walked to the store, that same week and gave the updated coupon to Shiela and she confirmed it has been entered making my copay $25 instead of $250.00. I followed up the week of the 15th I was told the medication needed a Prior Authorization after they told me there was no need by my doctor's office. Through Walgreens insistenceI I contacted my Dr's office and got the PA on 04/19. I called to follow up on 04/20 and spoke to the Pharmacist Erin, who I spoke to last week and said I needed a PA, told me "I do not know anything about this." She did not remember our conversation and handed the phone to Jonathan. I explained to Jonathan all the items they needed was provided on time and explained I had to cut my vacation short to accommodate this teams lack of professionalism, complete incompetence and disregard with the patient's urgent needs to retrieve life saving medications. He rushed me off the phone and said " I should be off the phone with you so I can get your PA processed" and condescendingly insinuated I did not understand the concept. The way this pharmacy communicate to patients and to each other is unprofessional and a liability to the company and the lives of people they are suppose to help. They should not be working in a profession that deals with people's lives because they are putting their patients in danger. Mostly speaking of my experience with the pharmacy department, this location is closest to me but terrible and I will never send another rX there. Whenever I order a prescription for pickup, I get there and there's only one person working and the line is out of control. Every single time. If a prescription is cancelled, your refill count still goes down. I have to call them every time. I just called and spent 35 minutes on hold...someone picked up and hung up the phone. I called back and was disconnected immediately as I got through the prompts. I had to call and ask for a store manager to reach someone in the pharmacy, who did not understand my request to refill a maintenance medication. I can't waste time dealing with them anymore when other pharmacies have NO problem getting their jobs done. There is no such thing as customer service at this place either. They never provide updates or clarify authorization problems either. Go elsewhere. read more

This place is the EPITOME of yuck ! Go TO CVS I'm urging you. When you first walk in the store looks picked over and smells of urine. The pharmacy line only had 3 people in it and it took the cashier James about 40 minutes to properly help us three in total he has no clue on what's going on. When I got to the register to pickup my prescription I asked for the price and showed a coupon code he replied he couldn't offer it bc the numbers wouldn't upload in the system, I showed him a clause on the GoodRX website where it shows they have an alliance with Walgreens and assured him that I could get the prescription for a lower price and he argued me he couldn't. Since I've been a customer of Walgreens for years I'm very familiar with their price matching system, I once again assured him he could get me a lower price, no response. I asked would it be easier to trAnsfer the prescription to a different pharmacy he slid me a card with the shift managers number who by the way was not on shift today and said they can call the number to get it transferred. I asked was that specific shift manager was there he replied no. At this point I'm confused and his customer service was absolutely the WORSE. James and I bantered again back and forth over the price and finally he claims he was able to get the cost down to a lower price. He wasted so much time, with now a packed line of people and only himself to check customers out not to mention he made a fool of himself by denying me the lower price for the prescription when he could have applied the discount when first asked, the banter lasted for about 20 minutes bc I was certain about price adjustments, this type of horrible customer service will have my patronizing CVS from now on. The back counter of the pharmacy was off putting prescriptions all over the place and no real order to anything behind the counter. I live nearest to the ghetto Rite-Aid on Broadway, but yesterday I had my umpteenth horrible experience (let's just say cashier staff was so unhelpful and blatantly rude that I decided to put the items on the counter and walk out without them rather than give another penny to that store.) So today I went three times as far to check out this Walgreens (which is across from another, less awful, but decidedly mediocre Rite-Aid.) I'd ducked in here once or twice before for a bottle of water, or something convenience-oriented, but this was the first time I'd gone there as a destination for shopping. Smooth sailing. Cashiers were pleasant, there was a line, but it was lunchtime and even so, it moved quickly. Cashiers SMILED and said hello. (This is nearly unheard of at my local Rite-Aid.) The store was clean (granted, it's newer and its customers are better behaved, but still, it was night-and-day different.) They had everything I needed, and several of the things were BOGO or buy-one-get-50% off (most of which had not been at Rite-Aid.) So I left feeling: 1) I got my things cheaper than I would've at Rite-Aid. 2) The store I gave my money to was polite and courteous to me. 3) I didn't have to ask for 3 things to be pulled out of key-only security cases 4) I didn't need a shower after my visit My only complaint was that the aisle and product layouts seemed counter-intuitive. I had to wander a bit to find everything. For example, vitamins were nowhere near medicine. Witch hazel was with bandages rather than isopropyl alcohol and hydrogen peroxide. Travel-size toiletries were hidden away randomly in the back corner of the store. I know it's a store where I won't be able to remember where things are, because the layout doesn't make logical sense (at least not to me.) So I suspect that every time I go, I'll end up wandering a bit. The hell with my local Rite-Aid. I have to write a quick review for this location based on the outstanding customer service I received. I never get headaches, but I haven't slept well lately and had one tonight that wouldn't go away. Rite Aid didn't have the travel packs, and I didn't need a full bottle, because I have plenty at home. So, I went to Walgreens where they told me to hit Aisle 6 before Aisle 2. They had a crazy deal for two 100 tablet bottles of generic aspirin for $2! How could you turn down such a bargain? They even paged someone to meet me in Aisle 6 to make sure I found the aspirin on sale, and when we couldn't find them, the guy followed me to Aisle 2 with two bottles. There was a bit of a rush when I walked in, but the cashiers were so fast everyone was gone by the time I found my items and proceeded to checkout. I come to this Walgreen's for minor items I need on the go and I must say its not too bad at all. Lines are sometimes long and few people at register but its not all that bad. The items on aisle's are not out of place much here and the store is maintained pretty well. Prices are fair and always stuff on special. I would recommend this Walgreens if you are in the neighborhood and need a few things. Staff here are friendly but at times its difficult finding help. The location is also good because it is on a main street. She needs to confirm one of the 4 items on my perscription I've already had filled multiple times because I'm new to the location ... Okay. 4 days later I still hear nothing, come to pick up my perscription and after having to wait a ridiculous time to talk to her she asks me for the name of my Oncologist she needs to call and verify. She says, we called your doctor's office to verify the perscription and they said you had cancer, when you dropped off your medication you said you had pain from post surgery. Your doctor's office won't give us your oncologist information so we need it from you. Yeah no shit they didn't give it to you and called me after asking me WTF Walgreens was doing. You bit**, I have a band on from my hospital at Ronald Raegen oncology center from the infusion, I am not going to continue to jump through these hoops for a verified perscription, and in case you are a total dumbass someone can have multiple conditions that are none of your business correct ? Worst customer service. Went in today and was grabbing some cleaning products and saw they had last minute Halloween decor. Decided to grab some bc there was a buy one, get one 50% off sign for Halloween stuff. Grabbed 4 items all around $30 each except one being $40. i was completely unsatisfied by their treatment of me. i came from my medical treatment with a prescription refill for a weak painkiller(norco 5), which i fill here monthly. When i came back again i was told to wait and after 2 hours again i was told i could not pick up my medication. why? the pharmacist had decided to let me know that "my kind" are always getting unnecessary medications and even though she has personally complained to my doctor that she felt the prescription is not needed my doctors who actually did my surderies would NOT revoke my prescription. but she wouldnt give it back to me. after i threatened to call police an assistant manager came out and threatened to "kick my black ass" if i dont leave, and threw my prescription on the floor. this is bullshit. im hispanic. if anything i look white. but this kind of bullshit pisses me off. i went across the street and Rite-Aid filled it in 30 minutes. i tried complaining to a manager but the same employee comes out to threaten me each time. I like Yelp for restaurant reviews, but I had such a good experience here at the pharmacy and at the front cashier that I was compelled to share with the Yelp community. I was exhausted from a long international flight, had a quick minute to pick up a prescription and move on with my day being stuck in downtown. They have pretty much anything that I need in terms of drugs, cleaning supplies, fem products, etc. Service has been pretty good too. This place is also clean and well-organized. I was in a bind and used Walgreens.com to print a poster a a few 8x10s. It was the easiest thing for me to do with the time I had. When I arrived it took them 20 minutes to even find my order. The 8x10s were really bad quality but I thought to myself, hey it's Walgreens... Then they handed me the poster... I ordered a 11x14 poster on board and they handed me a 16x20 board with my image floating in the center. I had to ask what's this?? He said oh they can't cut it because he can't cut straight and the machine breaks. He laughed and seriously thought it was all good. I told them no I need it cut to 11x14. Again he explained to me that scissors don't work well and it could be wrecked but he'll try. I was so confused... Even the manger thought it made sense. WTF I said fine just print me a 11x14 photo, no board. 34 minutes later he let me know that they ran out of paper and the larger paper he tried isn't working on the machine. Out of time and desperate. I'm cutting the stupid board myself that cost full price and wasted my time. I came to have a throw away camera developed and they don't do one hour photo (which is fine) and she said they need to send the negatives out to be scanned (also fine) but she said their policy is to not return your negatives.
