    My Gizmo
    Frank C.

Recently moved to Tucson from Sierra Vista, and needed to find a new groom for my Gizmo, and a friend recommended a groom who was not taking new clients, but recommended Littlefoot. I was a bit worried, as I have been told in the past that Gizmo can be a bit hard to handle, and because he hates kennels. Christina was very reassuring, both to Gizmo and to me. She doesn't kennel dogs at all, and told me she would take her time, and not start his service until Gizmo was comfortable with her. She did a great job, he looks amazing! I could tell from our interactions that she really cares about the dogs she services.

They cleaned up my foster pup, Mint, so well! Mint is a very shy girl and they were sure to be cautious with her and make her feel welcome. She looked so cute and clean after and even opened up there which goes to show she was in great hands. Thank you ladies!! And thanks for the cute bandana as well!

Rebel after returning home from his grooming appointment, looking all clean and hamsome!

I have a border collie mix named Rebel who is very fearful and his fear tends to present itself as aggression. This means that I can't take him to just any ol' groomer. I recently moved back to Tucson and my pup needed to be groomed DESPERATELY but I had no idea where to take him. I looked into several options and chose a handful of them to reach out to for prices and scheduling, as well as to explain the situation and make sure that it seemed like a good fit. Out of the 5 different places that I reached out to, Littlefoot Grooming was the ONLY one who actually took the time to listen to my concerns, and to explain to me how they typically handle dogs like Rebel. Not only that, but they also offered to schedule him on their day off so that he didn't have to be around a ton of other dogs (which may cause more anxiety than is necessary) The price was reasonable, the service was fast and most importantly, they really CARE about each and every dog they see. They're not your typical groomer, thats for sure!!!

This woman is an amazing groomer! On top of that she really makes an effort to make the dog feel happy and relaxed. My dog was calmer here than anywhere she's been before. She even made some new dog friends! The cut is adorable and professional. I will absolutely be coming back with Layla.

    KING- Airedale terrier

If you're wondering whether this business is worth your time, I suggest keep reading...I'm the proud owner of a Great Dane, red Doberman, and 2 Airedale terriers. I've had the most difficulty in the past finding the right professional groomer for my Airedale's. They require a specific length for their coat pattern, and Christina absolutely nailed it. Christina is everything you'd want in a groomer, and then some. For instance...Upon first visit, my Airedale (king) decided to mark his territory on Christina's couch (bad boy!). Instead of yelling or doing something I would've done, she said in a sweet loving voice "uh oh- I've got other fresh linen ready to change in times like these" I was floored. I just found Mary poppins and dr dolittle all wrapped into one hard working, professional dog grooming enthusiast- Christina! You've read this far, good job! If i can suggest one thing, it is for you to put your money towards local hardworking Tucsonans! Put the money back into our legal system by helping out your fellow Tucson locals. They wouldn't be around, if not for yelp readers and inquirers like you! Don't spend your time or money anymore on big time corporations like CO or MART...you will not receive the same one-on-one loving experience. I promise you that from the bottom of my heart. Give back to the community. Bear down AZ! Go cats, go!

Very disappointed and dissatisfied. Iwas really happy taking my dog there. The first few times were great. He was and still happy when I pick him up. The last few times though, his fur cut has been awful. The last time was the worst. His legs and side behind looks like she forgot to cut and his fur is choppy looking all over his body. He was supposed to have his teeth cleaned and wasn't done. Was supposed to have a teddy bear cut and that wasn't done. I feel bad to leave this review but it's not the first time I wasn't happy but at least she was cheaper and so figured you get what you get going cheaper but now she's raised her prices as well. Maybe she hired someone to help cut and that's why my poor baby looked so bad. At least he smelled like he got a bath this time. Last time he didn't smell like he did and she gave my leash to another person picking up their dog. She did reimburse me for that though.

The love, attention, and genuine effort they invest in the care of the furbabies entrusted to them is second to none. Most places take your dog back to a kennel or play-space and babysit them. Nothing wrong with that because after all, that's what they are supposed to do but Hounds Town takes Doggy Day Care to the next level. Look at the photos. They held a Valentine's Day "Pawty" for their guests! When I left Maverick there for his first day of care, I was nervous. He is my world. Can you say "Therapy Dog" without saying "Therapy Dog?" There is some confusion about the locations of Sol Dog. When I first signed up to board my dogs, I…read morethought I was dealing with the people from Sol Dog on Prince Road. That statement is 1/2 right. Looks like the Sol Dog on Prince now has a new name and that owner used to be part of Sol Dog but is not anymore. My dogs were boarded in May 2026 for 4 days. All did not go well. I have spoken to Justin and Shelley from Sol Dog and BOTH of them have now said "that's not how we normally do things". When I spoke to Shelley today and told her that they had to say, "that's not normally how we do things", for 3 separate issues her reply made me want to do reviews so other people could see that the service I got was exactly how they normally do things. Issue 1- on our tour of the facility (beautiful facility) we were led to believe that we would be allowed to settle our dogs in their kennel. We were not. Shelley said, "that people are not allowed in the kennel area". When I told her that we were taken into the kennel area on our tour, she said "that's not normally how we do things". Issue 2- We gave written on paper instruction on how to feed our dogs. and put the instructions in their system. Not complicated. One dog gets dry and wet food. The other gets wet food only. The dog that got wet food only was fed dry food. Sol Dog sent me a text on day 2 that they were almost out of dry food. When I called and questioned how they were feeding my dogs, I was told they were feeding them correctly. It wasn't until I sent them an email that they admitted to feeding my dog incorrectly. Guess what I was told??? You guessed it "that's not how we normally do things". Issue 3- Communication. I was told that someone from Sol Dog would communicate with me and let me know how the dogs were doing a couple times a day. The evening I dropped them off I did hear from someone. The next day Nothing. The 3rd day I sent a text at 730am and did not hear back till 330pm. GUESS WHAT? "THATS NOT HOW WE NORMALLY DO THINGS". Some issues I brought up with Justin that I didn't bring up with Shelley. My dog blankets and toys were not dirty, had no dog hair and smelled like I just took them out of my dryer. I had a lot of treats left over and if they were given to the dogs like I was told they would be, there should not have been that much left. Sol Dog left such a bad taste that I told them I would never board with them again. Justin and Shelley both agree that since they were told I would never board with them again that there was not much they could do to fix the issue. I was not told they were sorry. I was not offered any refund, not that I would have taken it. They did have to pay the staff to feed my dogs wrong and not give them their toys, blankets or treats. All in all, I feel like the experience that I had with Sol Dog is EXACTLY HOW THEY NORMALLY DO THINGS.
