This review is long overdue but since Frank did nothing to remedy the issue, it's time to write this review. I took my diamond ring in to have all my prongs re-tipped back in February on 2017. Wh I got my ring back, Frank had chipped my diamond and tried to cover it up by bending the prong and placing it over the chipped part of my diamond. I noticed this when I got home because the prong was very obviously bent and it was supposed to be redone. Please think twice before coming here. read more

Let's just say that I was a little skeptical of buying jewelry from what looks like a full fledged Pawn Shop. I was looking for a nice diamond ring for my soon to be wife. After years of buying and selling Persian rug I am always up for some good old horse trading and I found the perfect store for it. LittleJohn's. Not only did he have almost the exact diamond ring I was looking for but after the horse trading was done I came in way under my budget. I walk out of there with a really big smile on my face and the next day took it to a Jeweler to make sure it was the Real McCoy. I told the jeweler that I wants to sell and what would he give me for it. He offered twice what I paid for it. Hopefully I will not be back for the same type of ring again but I will be back for some diamond earring, and other sparkling gems as the years go by. read more

I'm gonna update this: They are RELIABLE. I was going to another place, in Morgan Hill, and after a long bike ride from Gilroy to find 'em closed, a couple of times out of the last 5-6 visits, I've decided I'm just gonna stick with my local guy. There is ALWAYS someone here. Supposedly the other place pays better, but it was going to be something like a $2-$3 difference on the two Eagles and bit of sterling I sold here yesterday, riding all the way to Morgan Hill (to find a "We're Taking Friday Off" sign) isn't worth it. These guys also buy some other interesting things. A few years ago I had some little carved jade figures, these guys bought 'em for a surprisingly generous amount of money from me. Try selling something like that to the average gold/silver shop. The final piece of good news is, They've opened a shop in Morgan Hill! read more

I decided to check this place out after reading the reviews. I had a good experience here. I needed my wedding ring resized and a small diamond replaced. The jeweler pointed out some areas where the previous jeweler had done some shoddy work and I agreed. He was able to fix the previous jewelers mistakes, plus everything that I needed done that day. He also tightened the fittings so the stones were secure without me asking. I will come back when I need more work done. read more

I would definitely not recommend this place. I had a horrible experience! I just got engaged and I needed to get my ring sized. They said they could size it while I wait which I was excited about because I did not want to be without my new beautiful engagement ring for a long period of time. They did as they promised and sized my ring within 5 minutes. When I got it back they completely warped my ring! The band was completely crooked and noticeably much thinner on the bottom and it was STILL the wrong size. Completely devastated, I went elsewhere that my future mother in law suggested and they were horrified at how a jeweler could even make such a terrible mistake. They said they didn't even recognize the material that they used to put the ring back together (it was supposed to be white gold). The new place was able to fix my ring and restore it to what it was supposed to be. Although, the staff at Little John's were friendly, I would highly suggest that you don't take any valuable jewelry there that you need repaired. read more
