Unimpressed. I bought a pair of pearl earrings at the Waldorf location at Christmas when they were closing that location and everything was on sale. I loved them and wore them for months. One day, I took them out and the post detached from the pearl. I drove all the way to Hagerstown and asked them to fix it. $18. I got them back and didn't wear them for nearly a month after the repair was complete, wore them ONCE, and the exact thing happened as I took them out. As you can see from the picture, the glue job was incredibly sloppy. You would think a month's time is enough time for the glue to set, but the repair job was so poor that they only lasted one wear. Will not return to Littman's. read more

I have dealt with Littman jewelers since early 2007 when I had a bad experience at another jewelry store this one doesn't disappoint. I found the staff very patient and helpful. Today especially as I was looking for something nice for my Birthday without spending a fortune and did just that. I am so impressed everytime I go and will continue to shop there. Also, the person that helped me cleaned my rings the hadn't purchased with them. My engagement ring to be exact and it looks just as beautiful as the day my Husband bought it. Absolutely the best. I visited another jewelry store in the mall and was going back the following day to make the purchase. I stopped at Littman's on my way out of the mall just to look/compare. Sharon waited on us, she just knew exactly what I was looking for and it was nothing like what I would have purchased from the other store. I have had nothing but an excellent experience!!! I have delt with Sharon, Michelle, Carla, Georganne, and Kendra who are all very knowledgable and pleasant. We never felt pressured to purchase anything. Sharon was fabulous and knew exactly what I was looking for. I am so happy I purchased at Littman instead of the competitor in the mall. These ladies are highly recommended. read more

My engagement ring had a broken prong and one of the little diamonds fell out. I went to get it fixed and because I missed the 6 month checkup they won't cover the cost to fix it even though I had paid the extra insurance on it. This ring has had multiple issues wrong with it in the past few years and so has all the other rings I have purchased from this same store. I will never ever buy anything from these people again especially since this last incident of not covering the cost to repair it and charging me over $200 even though I PAID THE EXTRA INSURANCE ON IT!!! They sure did lose a good customer because my husband loves buying me jewelry! Sorry about their luck! This will be the last money they ever get out of us. read more

We ordered our wedding rings from Carla. It was a disaster from the beginning. First of all it took forever to ring them up. So we go to pick them up and they sized my ring to fit my fiancé and his ring was sized to fit me! So we had them sent out again to be resized. No one called us so we stopped in and the rings were there. Again, they were sized incorrectly and had to be sent out again. They were supposed to be back on March 9 and we never got a call so we stopped in today and they couldn't find them at first. No one called us yet again but we were told they were in the store. We told them we just wanted to return them at this point but they still kept looking for them. They found them but we still wanted to return them so we didn't try them on. What an unprofessional jewelry store. They did apologize but I will never purchase from Littman Jewelers and be warned to choose one of the many other jewelers in that mall. read more

BAD Experience! They lost my ring that my mother gave me!!!! They never called to say the repair was done and then when I called to inquire, they said they lost it! The estimated value is in the paperwork, and they refuse to honor it. They want to give me another ring and have me pay for the repair on the original ring that THEY lost!!!!!!! When I said I would need to get the new ring appraised, they said that it wouldn't matter since they owe me NOTHING. Now I'm going to have to take legal action and pay more! Please avoid them! They are nothing but lies and excuses. read more

I had a very bad experience at Littman jewelers at the Valley Mall in Hagerstown, Maryland. I brought in a ring to get resized. I had been looking around area Jewelry stores to find a place that could resize the ring and have it back to me in the shortest time possible. I found Kay and Zales jewelers to be comparable in price, costing around $42-48 to resize down. However they would take 10-14 days to return the ring to me. When I went to Littman I was told I could get the ring back in 7 days and it would cost my approx. $43. I was told that that since there were diamonds around the band they would have the jeweler take a look and call us if there are any issues with resizing the ring. I dropped of the ring on a Tuesday. I didn't hear from the store the rest of the week and I assumed everything was good to go. On Monday the next week I thought I'd call and just check to see if they had my ring ready. I was told not yet but it should be ready for Thursday. An hour later I received a call from the store telling me that the jeweler has now taken a look at the ring and it will cost me $375 to get resized! I told the lady that if that's what it will cost, then I should've been informed earlier , not almost a week later, so I wouldn't have wasted a week and given it to another jeweler. I was definitely not going to pay $375 for a ring when I was quoted a price of $43! When dropping of the ring I had made clear that my only reason for choosing this particular store was getting the ring back the earliest. I feel like I wasted my time and now I have to take the ring to another jeweler. Very ridiculous! Super disappointed and upset. Won't recommend this store to anyone. Go to the competitor. Comparable in price, but probably better customer service. read more

Funny- I also have had issues with the Hagerstown Littmans ever since the Chambersburg one closed and moved help there. each time I go to have my rings checked and cleaned 2 in particular seem to find a flaw, have me make repairs, always MORE then quoted. Happened 3 times in 2 months now my ring is once again being repaired because the jeweler at Christmas was let go and THEY say he didn't do good work. I was told they would fix my ring because he didn't do it correct, AFTER they have my ring im called 2 weeks later being told I NOW have to pay over $200! Its been 7 weeks still not DONE yet. Im sorry I referred my daughters fiancé here to purchase her ring well over $5000, I plan to NEVER go back there again! read more
