Ordered today and we ordered the 10 piece BBQ ribs. Usually they are hit or miss. Tonight for the price of $18.95, my husbands snow boots would have been more tender. The wonton soup and fried dumplings were outstanding. As always. The beef with oyster sauce should be named multiple mushrooms in some oyster sauce. The beef was 2 strips. Ordering from here for 35+ years, I always go back and pray for a good nights meal. Very inconsistent. Back to looking for quality Chinese take out and dine in close by. We live 10 minutes from Here and go there instead of our local neighborhood one. The food is great and they are very nice there. Everything is great at Liu's and we were recommended to go here about two years ago and continue to go. read more

i live so close to here but have never heard about liu's until recently. and boy am i sad about that because i absolutely love it here! this is my new go to chinese take out place. the food is really good, and the portions are huge. i eat a lot and they usually take me about 2 or 3 meals to get through. also, the prices are very fair compared to other nearby restaurants (like orchid). would definitely recommend!! read more

Really enjoyed the dumplings here. Thick wrapper, but a lot of meat and nice flavor inside. Dipping sauce with just a hint of heat. Boneless spareribs were also very tasty, not dry or burned. Egg roll was huge and crisp. All good. Veg lo mein was bland and kinda light on the veg. Wife also said the chow fun was bland. Not terrible, but not the best. General tsao's was not good. Weird cuts of chicken, some fried so much it was tough and chewy. I didn't like the sauce either- too sweet. Skip that. BUT... the kung bo chicken was delicious. Slightly larger chicken pieces that I am used to, really nice spice, good crunch on the veg. This was the best thing we ordered. read more

Best chicken and broccoli ever. I moved to hunterdon county for a few years and good Chinese was impossible to find. While I'm not happy to be back in middlesex county, one if the perks is that I have delicious Chinese food back in my life. Love their lo mein, dumplings, and egg rolls as well! read more

It's okay. The general tsos was dry and the pork fried rice was over done. The delivery took about an hour and they have a $25 minimum for delivery. If you're in the mood for affordable okay chinese and don't wanna get off the couch, this is the place. read more

Very affordable lil take out joint hidden away in a small strip mall in spotswood. The roast pork lo mein is da bomb. The rest of the menu is decent, you'll find fine dining elsewhere but if its pork lo mein you desire then Liu's is your baby! Yes they deliver and thank goodess because it's not really the place to eat in. But when they deliver their lo mein that wonderful juicy gelatinous mixture of pork noodles with veggies a combo that I absolutely crave and desire it makes me want to lick my plate each and every time. They have affordable prices for lunch and combination dinner specials like shrimp w/ lobster sauce and pretty tasty/meaty spare ribs, I firmly believe the rest of the menu is above average especialy for a primarily take out joint. read more

Kind of a hole in the wall establishment with very little seating. The food is very good with generous portions. I highly recomend the General Tso's Chicken. For quick takeout, Liu's is a great place to stop. read more

The food is very good here. The prices for takeout are about average. The owners are very nice. Their two kids work in the restaurant in the evenings. I have had excellent Chinese food in New York but can't seem to find a place that I would rate 5 stars in New Jersey, but this place is pretty close. read more

We had an order delivered from Liu's yesterday as our two 'local' places are closed on Mondays. The food was only ok, but better than the two places closer to us, so we will order from Liu's again. Sorry but I HATE getting nickeled and dimed. Ordered a lunch special and asked for hot and sour soup as my choice. " 85 cent" more she said only wonton or egg drop come with lunch special. No thanks I'll stick to wonton. When they gave me my beef with black bean I asked for some "chili oil"... guess what... yep you guessed it "30 cent" she said. I asked if they would charge me if I had asked to make it "hot". NO RESPONSE. The food was pretty tasty but I wont be back. read more

We ve ordered out from here twice; and we won't ever return. First time that I picked up order I was helped by a rude +-12 yr old Asian boy. Food was $$ and not worth it. Poor quality. Chicken lo-mein tasted "funny"...and it smelled "sour". Second time my husband picked up order was helped by a younger than 12 yr old child. The food was again gross, and we swore to never go back. It's difficult to find a decent Chinese food place! I don't recommend Lius kitchen for various reasons; food $ucks, poor quality, people are rude and they have children working there; there are laws to protect minors from this type of thing.... I really hate leaving bad reviews but the General Tso's chicken was dried shoe leather with a microscopic amount of chicken inside. When I asked the woman why it was dry and tough, she explained that in the future I need to order steamed chicken . I'm hoping this was a bad experience and that the food is normally better but unfortunately I will not be going back . On the plus side the quantities are massive for the price read more

I have been going to this restaurant for the greater part of 20 years. I have never once in that time been dissatisfied and have referred many a friend. Last week I decided after a long day at the office that I would order in so naturally I called Liu's Kitchen. I placed my order and they told me it would be about 25 minutes. Well 25 minutes turned into 55 minutes but I waited patiently (as I knew once the food arrived it would be delicious and well worth the wait.) The delivery man arrived with my order. I tipped him generously and brought the bag into my kitchen. I began to empty the bag and saw that one of the items I ordered( My Daughters Meal) was missing. I then emptied the rest of the bag and found a quart of soup ( in which I didn't order) and the ribs in which I ordered well done and without sauce were sauce covered and far from well done. The eggs rolls were very greasy and saturated the napkin that was in the bag with them. I couldn't believe my findings. I called the restaurant and spoke with the owner. I told her about my order, and her response was unbelievable. She told me they would deliver My Daughters Meal at an additional cost of $5.00 , that I was to give the driver back the soup and that I was going to be charged a $3.00 mileage charge for coming back to my home in addition to being asked to tip the driver again. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I reminded the owner about my many years as a patron of her restaurant . I expected to hear keep the soup, no extra charge, I am sorry for any inconvenience etc... But no. The next thing she said was I could pay the difference the next time I come in or order. Thing is there is not going to be a next time. With many other Chinese Restaurants in the area I now have a choice and as they always say "change is good" read more
