We had an awesome experience today. A strong five-star experience. The wait outside was a little chilly but there was a food cart close by that sold coffee. When it was time for us to enter the building the staff came out and kept up informed on what was going on. The entire staff was very kind and helpful today, Once we were seated the production staff cued the audience responses. They let us know which entrance to expect the special guests to enter from. During the commercial breaks Kelly and Ryan engaged with the audience. The show was interesting. The people were nice. This is an experience we will forever remember. I have a new appreciation for the show. Side note: Following the show they informed us that they were going to prerecord the next day's show. We were allowed to stay in our seats and stay for the next show as well. read more

If you get priority seating, it's best to try to get in line before 7:15 am so that you can get a seat on the ground level. There really isn't any rhyme or reason on how they seat you. Had a great time at the Live show. We arrived at 6:50 am and there was already a line of about 20 people. It didn't matter because we still got great seats once we got inside. You wait outside until about 7:30 then they take you through security inside. Then you wait inside until about 8:30 which is when you go inside the studio and get your seat. The studio is much smaller than you would expect. There were no bad seats. Was a fun free experience and Kelly and Mark were great coming to say hi on the breaks. read more

First things first, if you want tickets to Live, go to 1iota.com. They become available roughly a month before the show. Note: they typically don't tape on Fridays. 1iota will notify you if you got a ticket. Generally, they tell you to wear bright colors and solids for this kind of stuff. Anyway, for the experience itself, plan to stand outside upon arrival. I did this in some very cold weather. There is a priority ticket line (on the left) and then another line (I forget the term.. I guess standby, but they had tickets). Around the time on your ticket, they'll come out and tell you what's up. Go through security. Wait in another line (inside) if you're far enough up. Use the (small) restrooms if you want. About 30 minutes before show time, you'll head inside the studio; staff will tell you where to sit. Then, time flies until the show starts. And then it really flies!!!!!! That hour will be over before you know it. Cheer, be loud, and have fun. Kelly and Ryan really are pros. They engage with the audience as permitted, and they're really good at what they do. A cool thing about this show is there are some audience interaction elements (like when the viewer at home picks a number in the studio audience, or when I went, someone in the audience also got to dance on the show). It was interesting how close Gelman sits to Kelly and Ryan. One thing that makes this different from some shows I've been to is that you can have your phone out during it, so feel free to take some selfies. The day I went, they were filming a second show (to air a week later when Ryan was away for Idol), so I was able to stick around for that. The studion is conveniently pretty close to a subway station, and it's also close to Central Park (I strolled through after). read more

It was soooo fun ! And let me just say , they are actually as funny as they seem on tv . Between recordings Kelly and Ryan were so interactive with the audience . It was really cool seeing how they do it all ! If you ever get a chance to go , GO ! We went when it was really cold outside and the only downfall was you have to wait outside in line before going in the building . We waited maybe 30 minutes . So bundle up if you are going during the winter months ! They always have a little stand to buy gifts ! read more

After attending the live taping of Late Night with Seth Meyers, we were a bit disappointed with this show. The studio itself is very small and cramped, and I thought it was interesting that cell phones were allowed. The show itself was not very entertaining, and you could tell because a lot of the audience members were on their phones during the taping. Kelly and Ryan didn't seem to care much about the audience members like Seth Myers did. After all the travel time and waiting in line, I wouldn't come to another live taping of Live with Kelly and Ryan. I wish I would have just slept in longer. read more

What a fun show to go see! However, things will change with Michael leaving. I booked tickets (a few weeks ago) to come see the show yesterday. We got in line at about 6:50am. If you are a priority ticket holder, your line moves inside at around 7:30am. You they wait inside until 8:30. During that time you can shop at the small cart for souvenirs and use the restroom. When you go into the studio you don't really get to choose where you sit. The first group to go in does get to sit on the ground floor, but you a redirected to certain rows and you fill in each seat. They then go through a few logistics and the fun starts. The filming was fun, and Michael interacted with the audience during each commercial break. He signed books for those who bought his book at the kiosk/cart. Kelly was not there yesterday so we missed seeing her. The Live show was an hour, and our group stayed an extra 15 minutes to watch them film celebrity interview for a future air date. Overall a fun experience for our New York trip, despite the long wait in line. I'd do it again! read more

Lots of fun and worth the (very long) wait. We arrived at 6:15 and were near the front of the line. The Starbucks at the corner is gone but there's a coffee cart selling coffee and cocoa for cheap and that worked just as great. About a hour wait outside then another hour inside, before going into the studio. They reserve a lot of chairs so even though we were almost in front, we didn't have the best seats. Staff is friendly and Kelly and Ryan interact graciously and pose for photos. read more

We lucked out and had gorgeous weather but watch the weather and come prepared to use an umbrella if rain is in forecast as you are outside standing for about 2 hours before entry into the studio. Thursday taping usually includes the Friday taping as well so a few people can go right back in post the actual Live show. Note we didn't see a rest room in sight, so no coffee that morning or you will not be comfortable throughout. Ryan and Kelly are so sweet on and off camera. read more

Had a great time visiting the show on a Monday morning. They usher you into your seats about 8:45am. Gelman comes out a few minutes before the show starts and gives you directions on how to cheer. Kelly and Michael interact with audience during the commercials. The hour flies by. We stayed for three additional segment tapings which took an hour due to clothing changes for the hosts. They allow you to go to the restroom before the show and also when there are extra segments to tape. they don't tell you who the extra guests are until they call them out to interview them. That is their hook to get you to stay and watch the extra taped segments. It was a great time, and I would go again. read more

Overall 3.5 My sis got the four of us tickets online as we were going to be in NYC for 3 1/2 days. We took the subway uptown around 6:40am to ensure we'd be in line by 7:15am. Of course we arrived and the line is relatively long already. Maybe 50 people ahead of us. We skipped across the street to Starbucks while the hubbies held our spots. Make sure you finish whatever you're drinking and eating as there's no food or drink allowed inside ABC. We are let inside the building where we stood waiting some more. Total wait time is about 1 hour 45 minutes. (Plenty of time to go to the restroom. Ladies stalls = 2). Was the show worth it? We didn't think so at first. We were in the first bunch but ended up in the second row off to the left where you could barely see Kelly and Michael. Fortunately a staff person asked us four did we want to sit upstairs for a better view? Heck yeah. We scurried upstairs and got to sit in the first row and be able to toss the beach balls down later. And we got 3 seconds of air time as Kelly was reading about the top destinations ranked by TripAdvisor. San Francisco being #2 with NYC being #1. We made some noise from upstairs and they aimed the cameras at us. Kelly and Michael looked in our direction but we couldn't make eye contact due to the camera lights. During the breaks between tapings, Michael interacted with the audience via a mike. Kelly walked around on the main floor and engaged selectively. I guess you don't need to come too early to grab good seats as the staff is instrumental in placing folks in the audience. There must be some kind of strategy. It was fun but once in a lifetime is good enough. As we exited outside, folks from The View and Katie shows asked did we want tickets? Nah, who wants to spend so much time indoors while NYC has so much to offer? Hope we didn't miss out on any swag bags though! read more

Super cool but kind of disappointing. We got "general" tickets because every time we tried to find priority it was nonexistent. We got there at 6:00 am and were the first ones in line for the general tickets but still got shit seats because most of the people there got priority. Priority means you get to sit down first and get the best seats. We were super far away and in the corner where we weren't on tv once, plus we were nonexistent to Ryan and Kelly. Couldn't even get a quality picture. Kind of sad considering we were super excited about it... read more

Entertaining show taping just like gambling in that you may never know all the guests or even whether the guest segments were pre-recorded. They should shorten the amount of time they make you wait in line. It is exorbitant. Once inside the studio the show begins. It's better to sit in the balcony as you can see everything better. Many seats in bottom level may be obstructed by cameras. Also it's odd how some shows show sold out but there is still lots of chairs and standby chances are good. The day I came they had a second taping with Will Ferrell as the guest and there were many empty seats but it all worked out as I got in as standby. read more

Awesome experience! They are true to their schedule as far as cut off time for priority to stand in line, entering time, seating, exit time. Security and staff are very efficient and timely. Kelly and Ryan are gifted in their ability to make the audience in studio as well as the audience at home feel personable, light hearted and joyful. They came over and spoke to myself and my guest and it felt familiar... because they are in our living rooms daily. Delightful and kind is the best way to describe their energy. Amazing show and two amazing hosts! Kelly and Ryan were so impressive to watch live! They interacted incredibly with the audience (literally got off of their chairs during commercials and walked up to the audience to make small talk!), had so much energy, and seemed to be genuinely nice and wonderful people! Though it was absolutely freezing waiting to get in (hand warmers are a must- especially if you're traveling from the West Coast like us!), but totally worth it!
