I was especially impressed by how they handle kids, they talk to them slowly and kindly to make sure they're comfortable. The atmosphere is a total vibe; the music they play is a jam, and the prices are great for the level of service you get. Plus, the hospitality is top-tier: juice and chocolates for the kids, and a choice of beer or a drink for the adults. Another appointment was made online with another available appointment for the day before prom because that was all that was available and my son called to confirm appointment wouldn't be canceled last minute again. I was a walk-in came here Halloween night from out of town. A Barber named Adam said he would take me at 6:45 he finished someone else's haircut very fast, then got me in at 6:30. I asked for a drop fade trim on top. He Finished my haircut at 6:45 and still one of the best haircuts I've ever gotten. amazing quality amazing service would definitely recommend to anybody coming in ask for Adam. On top of that quoted me $40 for a haircut, and I didn't even end up getting a full haircut just a touchup- and he charged me $60 for 10 minutes . I'm the type of guy to go to Great Clips and be completely satisfied with an extremely mediocre haircut, so trust me when I say that this was the worst haircut quality and experience I have ever had. I showed up at 6:25 PM for my 6:30 appointment, only to sit there until 6:50. For a place with such a strict cancellation/no-show policy, you'd think they'd have an ounce of respect for their clients' time. When the barber finally called me over, I figured we'd get started right away, wrong. Instead, he spent another five minutes joking around with his coworkers while I just sat there waiting. (Zero acknowledgement of the 30 minutes I waited for the haircut to begin btw) Not only was he shouting and belly laughing directly in my ears while talking to his coworkers, he was also repeatedly BURPING?? He would laugh it off saying it was the soda he drank as if it makes it any less disgusting that he is burping inches away from my head. He then proceeded to pay more attention to the basketball game then to the haircut. I kid you not, the worst quality haircut I have ever received. Between his loud, obnoxious banter and his fixation on the basketball game playing on the TV, he seemed to forget he was actually cutting someone's hair. I showed him multiple photos of what I wanted, yet somehow, I walked out looking like I lost a bet. I genuinely feel worse about my appearance after this disaster of a haircut. It's shocking how much a bad barber can ruin your confidence in under 30 minutes. If you are going to charge $48 for a haircut ($40 + $8 tip), you would expect AT LEAST 1 of these 3 things. A quality haircut, a quick haircut, or good service. I quite literally got the opposite of all these things. We are both under 12 and have been looking for a place that would listen to the haircuts we want and they did that here. I came here a few days ago and got cut by Danny. He barely spoke to me during the haircut besides small talk here and there. He messed up my hair pretty bad and pushed my modern mullet way further back than I wanted. He didn't really seem to take his time with things and seemed much more concerned about going on his phone and playing around with his coworkers. I had been traveling to Freemont from Livermore since 2014 for my haircuts. When you get a good haircut from a great Barber it's hard to change especially when it was $18 plus tip. However with gas prices going up and the haircut now approaching $30 plus tip time for some changes. Oh yes not to mention up to and hour or more round trip to Freemont/Union City. Upon a recommendation from a friend I decided to try Livermore Barber. I checked them out on line and decided to make an appointment with Jeremiah Francis. I was able to grab his only appointment left for the next day and confirming it was easy. I arrived a few minutes early and check in was easy. The shop on Second Street was very busy. All staff were using masks but not all customers. Jeremiah called for me pretty much on time, asked me about what things I liked about my previous haircuts. He made a recommendation and proceeded. Great conversation as we got to know each other a bit and time went quickly. The haircut was great and I am a very happy client. Will be going back for my next one . read more

They have a 2hr reservation cancellation window and I had a 10am reservation. I called their office at 7:30am to tell them I'd like to reschedule as I was sick (cough, sore throat). I called back at 9:12am and person on the phone said despite the fact I was 1) sick 2) called and left a voicemail prior to the 2hr cancellation window that they had to charge me. They recommended I come in sick with a mask thereby exposing everyone there. The last haircut I got here was the best haircut I've ever gotten, but because of this experience, I won't be returning again. On a side note, I also witnessed parents taking shots at 11am last last time I was there in the waiting area while their child got a haircut and then proceeded to watch them drive their kid home... yikes Given my experiences, it's clear Livermore barber shop might cut hair well, but don't care about creating an environment that's safe for their customers. read more

Tried this business after many years again.Was disapointed.The haircut came out all right but the place is dirty and the barbers dress like homeless people. I wonder if they are real barbers.I am not happy that for $40 they cannot even shave my neck which supposed to be parts of the service nor get my sideburns close to even. LOVE this place! It was our first time there today as our old barbershop is closed. My boys had been wanting to get a real haircut from a barber outside as we haven't been in public places since March due to COVID. I've only ventured out a handful of times in the last couple weeks but this was their first public indoor visit. My boys have a birthday in two days and figured they deserved something better than another "MOM-cut" To my credit, I got better after the first one LOL. We also have homeschool pictures coming up later this week and wanted to clean up their look. We waited outside until their appointment time and then were brought in to their station which was separated with plexiglass from the others. My son was called in first with Kyle and wanted his hair similar to a photo. Kyle did great! I honestly think this is the best haircut my son has had. He has a very full head of thick hair, with some crazy waves in the front and back sometimes making it hard to work with. Kyle took time in trimming the top just right and my son's comment afterwards was "I look HOT".. coming from my kid turning 11. Oh my! I must say he looks very handsome and the cut is so clean and really works with his sometimes difficult head of hair. His twin was called in shortly after and we also shared a photo but wanted the sides a "little shorter" and "longer on top" but get rid of the curls. My poor kids, sorry - you got my curls, waves an random pattern of where it may appear on your head. Zack did an amazing job getting rid of those curls while still keeping the top longer. My son loves it and asked if he can get his hair cut there again. That's a compliment right there coming from this kiddo. Finally, paying was easy at the counter also with plexiglass between customer and cashier. I didn't catch her name, but she was so sweet and so pleasant. Thank you for that warm interaction. She also gave both boys a Halloween treat bag and then sent us home with free t-shirts for their birthday. My boys plan on wearing their shirts on their birthday. They were so excited when I told them they gave them to us, they both had to pop their head back in the door and say "Thank you". So, thank you Livermore Barber Shop. Mom and boys are all happy with our experience and will be back. Top notch in cut and style as well as safety protocols making everyone feel safe. read more

Livermore Barber Shop is amazing! They are friendly, genuine, considerate, and pride themselves on quality work. We have seen multiple barbers at the 3rd St location and have yet to have a bad experience. We typically take our two boys (3 & 7 YO) for routine cuts, as well as myself, where I get my head shaved and beard trimmed. We are always pleased with our experience. My son has gone to Sammy Corbett twice now and we are super impressed with his skills. The first time my son was having a Spider-Man themed birthday party and Sammy did a really cool spider web design in his hair. The second time we were going to Disneyland and he did the outline of Mickey Mouse and he did a great job at that one too- especially considering my son didn't make it easy on him because he was having a bit of a meltdown that day. This is my 4th time going to Livermore Barber Shop at their various locations, and each time I've been disappointed. From obnoxious receptionists, vulgar/inappropriate and sometimes drunk barbers, and poor quality haircuts, I've never had a good experience here except on my very first visit, with Mary. I only go here when I can't find anywhere else with open slots, like my last cut on Monday, and each time I regret it. This time, Danny cut my hair far shorter than I wanted, totally changing the shape of my cut without asking me. He brought the fade up onto the top of my head, meaning the sides of the top are the same length as the sides of my head, giving me an egg-head. He spent less than 20 minutes on me (for $35!!), which explains the poor quality work. While it's my fault for going to such a shoddy place, I shouldn't have tipped, and this will definitely be my last visit to any of the Livermore Barber Shop locations, even when they're the only place available. read more

My son got his 1st haircut today. And let me tell you it has been a rollercoaster of emotions because his hair was to the middle of his back and it was curly and it was his baby hair lol. I want to give a shout out to Jesse and Natasha. I wear my hair very close to the scalp and I usually usually cut my own hair, but the blade guard fell off while I was cutting it and left a huge gash in my hair. In a complete panic and because I was afraid to proceed, I hopped in my car, looking for an emergency fix to my faux pas. I was on my way somewhere else and on the way I passed by Livermore Barbershop. I was familiar with the establishment because I've passed out several times on my walks so in a whim I pulled over and decided to stop by . It was almost 5 o'clock and they were ready to close, but Natasha was kind enough to allow me on and Jesse graciously agreed to cut my hair anyway. Needless to say Jesse did an excellent job and I left happy! When I tried to pay with my Apple Pay for some reason--I guess because I was so stressed out--I couldn't remember my password. Jesse and Natasha were kind enough to let me slide without paying. I promised them that I would come back on Tuesday and leave Jesse his fee!
