We went here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. I had really high expectations for this place, as numerous friends had recommended it and the reviews are positive. There were some definite positives: there was almost no wait despite how busy it was. The interior is cute and a lot bigger then I expected. The waitress we had was excellent. She was very friendly and super attentive. The coffee was good. The food went both ways. I had a bendict and I enjoyed it. My boyfriend had steak and eggs and his steak was overcooked. The bloody Marys left something to be desired. The pricing was okay. Overall the experience was a positive one. The location is a decent drive from where I live. The first time I visited this restaurant I was looking for a place to grab a quick breakfast. I noticed that it was rated quite high in comparison to the other restaurants in the vicinity so I decided to try it out. When we arrived we were warmly greeted and promptly seated by Lisa. She was extremely friendly, attentive and personable. She took our order and our drinks and food were served in a very timely manner. We ordered stuffed pancakes and the steak and eggs. The stuffed pancakes were absolutely amazing; the flavor left me salivating for more. The caramelized apples were sweet and the mascarpone cheese was savory. They complemented the pancakes well. By the time my sister was halfway through the stack she was just as stuffed as the waffles, but they were too good to stop eating. The steak and eggs were a very good value and were excellent. High quality steak, perfectly seasoned and better yet, perfectly cooked. It's hard to find places that are capable of cooking a steak according to how the customer requests it--not even certain steakhouses can cook a steak correctly--but this restaurant does it right. I commend the chef for the superb meal. The price we paid at Livia's Dish was only a fraction of what other restaurants would have charged and I am certain when I say this place is exponentially better than most others. This restaurant is a hidden gem and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I have returned time and time again because the service and food exceeds the other local restaurants. Our new brunch spot!!! We just moved to the area and were looking for a COVID-safe outdoor brunch spot that accommodates dogs. Livia's Dish had the friendliest service, AMAZING food, and even on a crowded Saturday morning, we were seated in under 10 minutes on their lovely patio. Our waitress was so helpful, and brought out a special water dish and snack for our puppy. As for what we had, the spring cocktails are delicious. What I like about this place is that the smells are good and our first time was a short wait, good customer service even after I asked to be seated away from the front door where people kept hitting my chair and knocking my bag around as they went out the door. The waffles were great and my melted butter set it off. The Sicilian Omelet was good but not really what I wanted to taste traditionally. My husband ate it for me. He had the steak and eggs, looked good and the home fries were good too. The only thing that bothered me immensely is that the water was not good and probably tastes like toilet water if I ever had to drink it. Other than that 4 stars for food and service but, that water has to be upgraded and maybe think about getting a better grade ketchup. read more

A fun, busy, acceptably loud dining experience. Everyone was super friendly! I enjoyed the asparagus, goat cheese and tomato omelet with my Bloody Mary. My daughter had the apple walnut topped pancakes. Our companions enjoyed a mozzarella burger, a turkey and cheese panini and omelet. The homefries were absolutely perfectly crispy and done - I ate almost all of them! (Usually, I leave homefries alone because they are just potato lumps that barely kiss the grill - not here, folks!) The fries actually looked like real potatoes - wholesome and delicious! Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. I ate here 2 days in a row and the service could not have been more different. On both occasions I sat at the bar for breakfast. On 11/14 I had Lisa for my server. She was courteous, prompt and attentive. She checked back multiple times and inquired about the food as well as refilling my coffee twice. Food was good and served promptly and hot! Great job Lisa! On 11/15 I returned and had a different server (unsure of her name but a short brunette). When she took my order she had her back to me, typing on the POS system and acted as though I was inconveniencing her. After serving my meal she never came back until I was finished and handed me my check. Maybe she doesn't like people sitting at the bar? Not sure. But my first visit gets 5 stars for service. I recently visited Livia's for the first time. I enjoy good Italian food, so I really looked forward to it after reading all the positive reviews. It was a nice place and fairly busy at mealtime, so parking was a bit of a challenge. The staff was pleasant and attentive. Other customers really seemed to be enjoying their meals. I tried the chicken parm, as I consider it to be a signature dish for an Italian restaurant. It was very tasty. The pasta was very good, the sauce was delicious, the freshly shredded cheese was great and the chicken was breaded nicely. However, the chicken breast meat itself was very, very rubbery. I could barely eat it. It wasn't tough, it just had a very unappetizing texture. I'm willing to assume that I just had bad luck and plan to revisit Livia's to try something else. Many of the menu items looked delicious. Hint to Livia's: find out what is causing the chicken to be so very rubbery and fix the problem (overcooked? refrozen meat? not fresh or microwaved?). Also, some fresh bread or rolls would be a nice touch with the meal. Lastly, I'm sure that some evening hours would be welcomed by your guests, maybe a couple of nights each week if possible. I look forward to revisiting Livia's soon and plan to update my review accordingly. Hoping for better luck next time. read more

Stopped at Livia's en route to New Hampshire. We were all very pleased with our meal. We order paninis with chicken and pesto, a couple of cocktails(not me, I was driving). The Paninis were hot and fresh and very tasty. I was told the cocktails were very good. My only slight was the service. Our waitress was also the bartender. She could not be found during the meal. Our food was delicious, the portions were pretty huge, and everything was freshly cooked! I ordered the weekday special which was 2 eggs, home fries, and toast with a side of sausages. My bf ordered steak and eggs with home fries, I never got to try it but he finished his plate completely so I'm assuming he loved it! Our favorite was the Nutella and banana French toast, TO DIE FOR. I'd passed this place many times on my way down Route 9, and with my wife away visiting friends, thought I'd give it a shot. It's tucked in a corner just before the airport road as you travel west down Main Street. Turns out to be a real little gem of a restaurant, well worth a visit. The night I was there (Wednesday), it happened to be "Burger Night," which meant a $5 burger with the purchase of any drink. So I bellied up to the bar and had at it. No lie, it was the freshest and best tasting burger I'd had in a long time, lean and cooked to perfection. They served it with tasty french fries that were neither too greasy nor too heavy.. While I was raving about it to the manager, the two guys beside me overheard and made it a point to let me know that the Bolognese one of hem was about to order was the best they'd had that dish prepared in all of their dining experiences around the Worcester area. They said they'd been to the Sunday brunch too, and that it was great, too. So an enthusiastic thumbs up on this one. Worth the drive down Main St. read more

I went here for the first time today with a few friends. I ordered the steak and eggs, which came with one steak (I had mine cooked medium rare), two farm eggs (poached), white toast, and home fries. I think what I had was great for the price, about $15. The steak was a little more on the rare side, but I didn't even care since it tasted so juicy! It took a while for our waitress to take our order and for us to receive our food, but it was MLK Jr. Day and the restaurant was packed, so I understand. I've only been here once but really loved it. The staff were soooo nice and acomodating -- they told us we could mix and match anything we wanted. Note to other restaurants: that goes such a long way. The food was beautiful and delicious. It was probably four star food but the overall experience was so great, we both left with as much an experience as a meal. The one suggestion I have is that we were seated at a table were the floor seemed to be slanted. It was rather unnerving. Livia's Dish is a great place to stop for breakfast. It is comfortable and the relaxed atmosphere makes bringing children easy. The menu is average in terms of selection and price but the cooking is (normally) much better than average. The reason I rated it two stars is because of my unfortunate experience at the Mother's Day brunch. While, Livia's usually provides an enjoyable experience, I just don't think they are aptly prepared for the volume that comes with an even like Mother's Day. The parking lot is very small, so I had to park a short walk away on Rte.9 where there is no sidewalk. I was nervous getting my kids safely out of the way of speeding traffic and into the restaurant. We had reservations so once we did get inside, we were sat right away which was nice. The problem started there though. It took VERY long for our drink order to be taken and once it was, we had a very long wait for our meal order to be taken. It seemed very short staffed and the result was some very burned pancakes. Also, the waitress did not come to refill the drinks or ask if we needed anything (like ketchup and napkins). I think on any average day, Livia's is a great choice, however the menu on Mother's Day was quite limited and not very impressive, the service was nil, the food was burned and the experience was a bad start to an otherwise pleasant Mother's Day. That all being said, I would still recommend Livia's to anyone in the Cherry Valley area looking for a decent breakfast. If you happen to be in the area and it is not a holiday or special event, Livia's is okay. read more

Wonderful ambiance. Just love the relaxing laid back atmosphere. This is my favorite place to go for mascarpone cheese stuffed pancakes and banana Caramelized waffles. They have the best chicken parm. Pan seared, moist and delicious. The burgers are also delicious along with the hand cut fresh French fries.
